Chapter 107: Learning Efficiency

  The m at 6:00 AM:

“You're so hard to find,” Shisui said, looking at Kaida, who was lying on the ground, pletely exhausted.

“Brother, you’re back! How was your mission?” Kaida asked while trying to stand up.

“Don’t you think this was a little excessive?” Shisui asked, helping Kaida sit.

“How long have you been here?” Kaida asked, cirg yang chakra through his body to aid recovery.

“Long enough to see you fighting 10 shadow es alone,” Shisui said, shaking his head.

“I was trying to check my limits,” Kaida said shyly.

“And why weren’t you using the Sharingan?”

“Because I don’t want to be overly depe on it. Initially, I used it while sparring, but when I tried sparring at the same difficulty without it, my efficy dropped by four times,” Kaida expined.

“That just means that even an underdeveloped Sharingan enhances your efficy by 400%. And the more you train with it, the better it’ll bee. So don’t treat the Sharingan as a handicap,” Shisui said simply, sitting down beside him.

“Sihe Sharingan increases my base efficy, doesn’t that mean this kind of training is still beneficial for me?” Kaida asked.

“Of course. Normal training is crucial. Without a strong foundation, even the Mangekyo Sharingan won’t help you. I’m just saying you should also focus on training your Sharingan,” Shisui replied.

“Okay, brother. But why are you here this early?” Kaida asked.

“Oh! When I got home, I found Mom worried about someone’s well-being. So, being the responsible child I am, how could I rest? I had to find that ‘someone’ so Mom wouldn’t stress anymore,” Shisui said dramatically.

“But I already told Aunt that I’d be training using a soldier pill,” Kaida said doubtfully.

“And I’m ae jonin strong enough to protect myself, yet she still worries every time I go on a mission. That’s just how moms are,” Shisui replied with a smile.

“Right,” Kaida said, remembering how his own mother visited him at the hospital every m, despite his stant pleas for her to rest.

“So, I know you’re not ‘feeling hungry,’ but how about we head back for a quick bite?” Shisui suggested.

  “Okay, brother,” Kaida agreed.

As they walked home, Kaida told Shisui about his meeting with Fugaku.

“You lucky brat! For that many tribution points, some of us jonin have to stay away from the vilge for weeks, sometimes months. And yoing to earn them so easily. The world truly is unfair,” Shisui said, shaking his head.

“Brother, I’ve been meaning to ask—are you saving tribution points for something?”

“Yes, I inally wao buy an S-rank jutsu, but now I’m saving for medie for my eyes,” Shisui said.

“Are you having trouble with your vision?” Kaida asked, ed.

“Not yet, but I had to use my Mangekyo Sharingan during a few missions, so my vision’s starting to blur. The head said it’s treatable and should clear up soon, though he’s overcharging me for the medie,” Shisui joked.

“Have you visited the hospital about it?” Kaida pressed.

“No, it’s not at a critical stage yet. I still see better than a normal person. This is just a precaution to prevent problems down the line,” Shisui assured him.

“Are you sure? If you want, I ask Seo check it out,” Kaida offered.

“You brat, I said I’m fiop w,” Shisui said, flig Kaida’s forehead.

“Okay,” Kaida said, rubbing his head.

By then, they had reached home aered together.

“Mom, I brought him back,” Shisui called.

“Wele back, Kaida. Yoing to eat breakfast, right? Then go take a bath first,” Hae said, wrinkling her the smell of sweat from Kaida’s stant training.

“Yes, Aunt,” Kaida said and headed to his room.

After some time, they all sat down at the dining table.

“Hey, how e you decided to train alohout me?” Yomi asked when she saw Kaida.

“You’re already training hard, Yomi. How could you make time to train with me?” Kaida replied.

“Did you fet I’m not the only oraining?” Yomi asked with a smirk.

“No, but I’ve exceeded my training schedule, so I fit in more time for this,” Kaida said casually.

“Show off,” Yomi muttered, fog on her food while thinking, *‘Just wait, I’ll catch up to you.’*

Kaida turo Shisui and asked, “Brother, we tinue enjutsu training after you rest, or do you have more missions?”

“Nope, I’m taking some time off. I already told the head before my st mission. We tinue your training after you’re back from the hospital,” Shisui replied.

“Just don’t overdo it,” Hae said, shaking her head.

After breakfast, Kaida and Yomi left for their respective destinations, while Shisui went to his room to get some mueeded sleep.

  ---

Kaida took a small detour to the training area.

*‘I could send shadow es to the hospital for training... but that’d be disrespectful to Sensei. Still, I could use shadow es to plete missions while I train there,’* Kaida thought.

He began making shadow es, taking his time since he still had an hour and a half before he had to go to the hospital. After making 60 es with 15% of his chakra each, he made a final e with 50% of his chakra. His pn was simple: the stronger e would retrieve missions from the headquarters, and the others would plete them quickly. Then he headed to the hospital.

  …

Kaida arrived exactly on time. Mitsuru had instructed him to first learn the basics of treatment from a nurse and study the first-level medical books, along with perfeg the poison removal jutsu. His pn for the day was already set.

Kaida approached the receptionist and said, “Good m, ma’am. Sensei said te for someoo teach me the basics of treatment and to provide me with the first-level medical books.”

“Okay, just give me a mihe receptionist replied ao take care of it.

A mier, she returned with a middle-aged man and introduced him: “Kaida, this is the chief of all the mediurses here. He’s agreed to teach you. Chief, this is Kaida Uchiha, Mitsuru-sama’s student.”

Kaida bowed and said, “Good m, sir. I’m Kaida Uchiha, and I’ll be in your care.”

“Great. I’ll be making my rounds in 30 minutes. You follow me today and learn by watg,” the chief said, the, telling Kaida where his office was.

The receptionist added, “Sisuru-sama has already booked a training room for you, I’ll send the books there so you study them during your free time.”

“Thank you very much,” Kaida said ao the room where he’d trained yesterday. There, he made 30 shadow es. Half practiced the poison removal jutsu, while the others waited for the books. With this, Kaida had almost reached the maximum number of es he could create.

Kaida theo the chief’s offid followed him on his rounds for the rest of the day. He watched the chief perform various tasks like pstering, bandaging, administering medie, and cheg civilians with minor ditions.

Kaida learned a lot from him while his es worked hard on their respective tasks.
