Description:
If you are to explore a Dungeon with the "Netherworld Royal" theme, be on your guard. It is almost guaranteed that the Dungeon Master is wishing you nothing good.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
This theme can only be unlocked by the Dungeon Master already possessing an Extra Skill known as [Demon Lord]. It is a non-attribute skill that represents the "Evil" category for Extra Skills and is obtained by having the title [True Chaos], clocking one's Karma Value at a negative 200, then continuing to do actions that would cause the Goddess Order to faint if she were to witness it. The skill is one of the three only Extra Skills that can be obtained without the need for Extra Medals.
As for the theme itself, it has a disturbingly high degree of priority for negative Karma Values. For one, anyone within the Dungeon, be it invaders, visitors, or even the Dungeon Monsters will see high difficulties in increasing their Karma Values. On the other hand, getting these Values into their negatives is a much easier task within a Dungeon utilizing this theme.
One can also find "leader" monsters on each floor. This refers to monsters with high leadership abilities that can command and enhance monsters under their command, drastically increasing the difficulty degree for that floor to the roof. Worst of all, these leaders can spawn regardless of the Dungeon's status values and other restrictions. However, only leader monsters related to negative Karma Values can spawn.
Another trait found in this trait is the ability to set up facilities related to negative Karma Values. The "Seven Sin Store" facilities are one such example, while traps that increase their potential when triggered by people with higher Karma Values are another.
The monsters that can be found within these Dungeons can widely vary, believe it or not. There are no restrictions on what Magic Stones are required to create a Dungeon with "Netherworld Royal", making it quite possible for practically any monster line to appear within these Dungeons. The sole exceptions are monsters related to positive or neutral Karma Values. Despite everything said here, demons and the undead are the most common creatures seen in these Dungeons.
Regarding the Dungeon's decor, it has the appearance of an ancient (sometimes underground) castle dressed in dark, gloomy colors. Fear and depression can easily be found within these walls, so much that the decor alone can work as a mental attack on the Dungeon divers.
As for the public's stand on "Netherworld Royal" Dungeons, the common rule is "search and destroy". "Netherworld Royal" makes the Dungeon quite unprofitable for adventurers, as one only risks one's life and Karma Value points trying to farm anything out of it.
This, and the existence of a [Demon Lord]-using Dungeon Master, is enough to scare away any potential prey for the Dungeon, resulting in a paradoxical situation where, despite looking so great and threatening, the "Netherworld Royal" Dungeons have almost no combat experience behind them.
Garami's comment: ...I evaded one heck of a bomb there. Thank god I didn't choose this instead of Sinful Ruins.
Alf's comment: If you had, the only bombs that would be relevant would be the ones dropped into the Dungeon's front entrance in the hope of exterminating everything inside. Sheesh, how scary...
