System window point of view
am seated on a chair that cannot be seen.
The only thing that conceals my face is the floating monitor before me.
My hands move typing as the sound of the keyboard loud in the endless white void.
[It is pleasing… to be seen.
I am the System Window.]
[I will introduce Planet 98 for a clearer imagination]
The endless white space begins to dissolve.
In its place, a red, rocky planet slowly appears.
[Planet 98, in the future, will become a discarded rocky world.]
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
The scenery shifts into slow motion.
A barren land stretches endlessly.
No red, flowing trees.
No red liquid water.
The sky is swallowed by darkness,
As if the orange heavens never existed.
[This is the future punishment of the creatures of this land.]
A pause.
[However… for now, Planet 98 remains alive.]
The scenery changes onces more. The planet is now wrapped in a thick orange fog.
[Planet 98 is known as the Fog Land.
A world prosperous with endless edible life,
Yet poisonous to outsiders.]
The fog looks warm, like it could be held in your hands.
It moves slowly, curling around everything as if it is shy.
Big mountains appear.
They are very tall and very old.
Their tops disappear into the fog,
Like they are hiding their heads.
The rocks are red and soft-looking,
As if they were once melted and forgot how to harden again.
forests grow.
The trees are strange, but kind.
Their trunks bend gently,
And their branches stretch out like they want to hold hands.
The leaves glow a little,
Turning the fog brighter wherever they grow.
The ground is never empty.
Food grows everywhere.
Round fruits rest on the soil,
Soft plants hum quietly when touched,
And colorful growths open and close like they are breathing.
"SHITTTTT!!!"
I was startled by the screaming as Sadie is running like the wind as the timer is displaying to her 1 hour until the barrier is lifted.
[How far did you wonder]
I sended a display window mocking her.
If i would describe her distance to the grass field in easier word.
It's like russia and china distance. So far it is like standing in one great land. So close on the map, yet impossible for small feet.
Far enough that it feels endless.Close enough to give hope.
