CPT Transformations
Charge conjugation (C) – change to antimatter
Parity inversion (P) – reverse spatial coordinates
Time reversal (T) – go backwards
If you apply a charge conjunction and parity inversion to an object, it is equivalent to matter going backwards through time. C+P=T
Time Travel
- Magic “shield” (Penning trap) around object to keep it from interacting with normal matter
- All matter in object is converted to antimatter
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
- Shield and antimatter inside have parity inversion applied
- Since magic has to do with expansion of spacetime, and antimatter is backwards-traveling matter, it causes object to travel through time instead of through space. Works best when traveling in multiples of 12 years. Will always end up at same physical location that they left from.
- Identity of object’s magic field is always retained. Identity includes memories in people and animals.
- An equivalent amount of time passes in the present as is spent in the past/future. If a person travels to another time for a year, one year will pass in their original timeline, too. They cannot return to a time earlier than that which has already passed (cannot live a year in the past and return home 10 minutes after they left).
Timelines
Infinite timelines simultaneously exist. Each timeline is casually locked to itself. All timelines do not necessarily share same date/time.
Example:
- Person P lives in timeline 1.
- P travels to past at 8pm. Arrives at 8pm 50 years and 47 days earlier.
- P makes changes to past. Timeline 2 is created.
- P returns to timeline 1 at 8am the next day. No changes to history of timeline 1 have occurred.
- Timelines 1 and 2 will always be 50 years and 47 days separated in time.
(More TBD???)
