How are you doing? I hope you are well. We didn’t have a chance to say goodbye. I have been learning how to control my holy powers and have begun exchanging letters with Luminous Light as well.
Donnavan came today and informed me that your mission had been a success. No one imagined that whole sanctuaries of cultists had been hiding under the desert. I pray you were not harmed in those battles.
The story of how you worked undercover with me and Marie to cleanse this blight has been spreading. People have been surprised that a Teolian archmage worked this closely with an exemplar. I have received some questions about it. Of course, I repeated the story that Vo’Teol wanted to remove the dark influence from both countries at once. Some remain skeptical, but a common enemy has united people under even worse circumstances.
I’m sure you are busy now with your duties. I hope you didn’t end up in any trouble for disappearing for so long. Still, I’m sure your friends are happy you are back.
The three warriors, including Wes, whose souls were injured, have been transported to Sun’s Peak to help them recover. Donnavan has officially joined the Luminous Light and wishes to serve as my protector and emissary. Lan, Louis, and Louis’s warriors have also offered to join. The rest have returned to their homes.

Is Mar’tei doing well at the academy? I wrote her a letter as well, but I wonder what you think as her teacher. I imagine Bar’tik will not be able to stay still there for long.
Marie has been proclaimed a saint. I was able to communicate with the Prophet-King two days ago. He is taking it hard, but his consort is supportive. Still, I felt he has hardened his approach. The Holy One pushed back against some of my ideas and aims to create a new unit responsible for investigating internal affairs. There will be an attempt to petition your country to commit to a twenty percent reduction in mana usage over the next ten years.
I think we can still proceed with our other plans.
I hope you will
Your friend,
Crina.
She dried the quill and set it down on the desk in her room. A white medallion at the edge of it shimmered slightly in the evening sun. She glanced at it for a moment before standing.
She had asked to keep her room simple. There was an altar to the One Sun, a bed, a wardrobe, shelves filled with books, and the large desk. Still, everything was made of high-quality materials, and the smooth surfaces gleamed brightly to her eyes.
Multiple windows kept the room well-lit. Despite being high in the air, it was always pleasantly warm. Her bed was the softest she had ever lain in. It still felt lonely. She had grown used to sharing her space with someone.
“I will have to rewrite this after I come back,” Crina muttered to herself as she stood and headed toward the elevator.
