Small building, doctors, fighters, teachers, all sorts of people were here within the wistoria, all building together towards finding out the answers they all didn't want, but need. As soon as people saw Kaiden they become quiet, the person who the wistoria had known of for 184 years, the one who would bring the truth to reality...
Was here.
Kaiden and Devon jumped down from Futomaki, a man approached them, smiling warmly towards Kaiden.
"so you must be kaiden, my name is Ruko, i'm the chief of command in the Wistoria, i've been waiting to meet you for a very long time now" Ruko was polite, gentle with his words, Kaiden felt a sense of warmth from him.
Kaiden spoke up nervously, but with a clear sense of excitement in his voice. "Y-yes! i'm Kaiden, its a pleasure to meet you sir!"
Ruko began walking, signalling Kaiden and Devon to come with him. "Okay then kaiden, i'm gonna cut straight to the point, you already know why you're here, if that letter is right then you're the answer to everything. so i'm gonna get straight into making sure you're privately trained, we've been experiencing some trouble recently with a group known as the excertion, and if we are really gonna discover the truth behind everything, we cant have anyone in our way." turning back to kaiden with a smile across his face.
"i'm gonna teach you how to use your soul techniques" Kaiden stared back in confusion, he'd never heard of soul techniques before.
"whats a soul technique? Kaiden said.
Ruko continued walking while explaining. "a soul technique is a 10 stage power, you've already seen Devon's Futomaki, that's his level 5, a level 5 is always a summoning technique, level 1 through 4 typically focus on short abilities, stuff like small energy blasts etc, levels 6 to 9 are typically more advanced, harder to learn techniques, ranging from being able to destroy houses, to cities. and then level 10 is something i doubt you'll ever learn so you don't need to worry about that for now."
Kaiden took a moment to process this all. "A-and is this all controlled by uh, renum was it?"
"renim." Devon spoke up from behind the two. "I'd be more than happy to train him myself sir, i can sense a small amount of renim inside him, i can probably push out his stage one within the next few weeks."
"we don't have week's Devon." Ruko said blankly. "i need his ready with at least 3 stages within the next 5 days, that's why I'll see to training him by myself."

Ruko stood before Kaiden in an empty field, holding a small blunt dagger.
"this field is far away enough that no one will interrupt us." handing the dagger to Kaiden. "this dagger will allow you to harness your renim better at first, putting it into its blunt tip, once you land a strike on me with renim powering it, ill teach you to learn to control it without the dagger, then how to activate stage one, now lets not waste time, come at me."
Kaiden hesitated for a moment before pushing forwards, running at Ruko while holding up the dagger between two hands, swinging recklessly as Ruko dodged effortlessly. "cmon kaiden, put more swing behind your attacks, let the dagger move with your body, push into the swing!"
with new strategy, Kaiden charged forwards, swinging the dagger more effectively, getting close a few times but still falling short, the dagger waving over Ruko's shoulder as he ducked beneath it, knocking it back from below with the palm of his hand, holding it up before closing the distance between him and Kaiden, wrapping his hand in renim and landing a punch clean on his stomach, sending Kaiden flying back, slamming hard into the ground, coughing up blood.
"what the fuck is your problem!" Kaiden screamed at Ruko while picking himself up.
Ruko stood emotionless. "Don't get angry kaiden, you cant expect to be any use if you cant take a low-level renim punch, now pick up your dagger and keep trying. Kaiden reluctantly picked it up and charged towards Ruko, swinging the same as before with no hope, Kaiden though of how to catch his off guard, upon thinking of a way, he suddenly started swinging like crazy, until the opening was perfect, and spitting the loose blood from his mouth straight into Ruko's face, pushing the dagger straight for his chest, connecting straight into it, the small amount of renim pushing him back a few centimetres.
wiping his face, yet smiling, Ruko began laughing. "See! that's it Kaiden, use any method you can possibly think of to distract your enemy and get a good hit in, if that was a real dagger you would have killed your enemy right then, obviously not me though, if this was a proper fight you'd already be dead.
Kaiden chuckled. "You're a bit over-confident aren't you, i'm guessing you've mastered stages 1 to 10 if you're talking this big"
"yeah, yeah i have, and i'm not over-confident, i'm just aware of my own strength, in all my time alive I've only ever met 2 people who would deem strong enough to beat me in a fight." Ruko said with confidence.
"Oh yeah? who's that then?" Kaiden smiled while handing the dagger back
Ruko looked into the sky. "One of them died a long time ago, and the other... is Devon, hes the strongest person I've ever met, yet he hasn't even mastered the 9th stage yet, he still has years left before even having the option to learn the 10th."
Kaiden looked in shock, he thought Devon was just someone sent to collect him, not the strongest member of the wistoria. before having the chance to speak, Ruko took out a small wooden box, sealed all around but with visible hinges of where it should be able to open, he handed it to kaiden while explaining its purpose.
"this little wooden box has two openings, one on the bottom and one on the top, each one sealed off by a small segment of my renim, i want you to try and use your own renim to break mine, this is the most important renim trick you'll ever learn, being able to break someone else's using your own, if you cant successfully manage to do this, i doubt you'll be able to learn even the first stage, ill be back in an hour to see how you're doing, for now don't stop for a second, i trust you'll learn every single step of how to do this fully on your own, only then will i continue to train you, Kaiden Huritan."
END OF CHAPTER.
