After Eden promised to teach me, I slowly made my way back to my room.
The corridor was quiet. Only the faint sound of the wind brushing against the academy walls followed me.
I pushed the door open and dropped onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.
My mind kept replaying the fight with Eden.
Did I do well?
A faint smile crossed my face.
It might sound like I’m being conceited… but the truth is, I’m not. Because deep down, I know one thing very clearly—
I didn’t win on my own.
The power inside me… it’s overwhelming.
Immense.
And I still have no idea how to control it.
That’s why I lost control again.
If Eden hadn’t been there… I’m sure the entire training ground would have been destroyed.
When I woke up, the first thing I noticed were the cracks in the massive shield Eden had created to protect everyone present.
Even that shield… was damaged.
Just thinking about it sends a chill down my spine.
I remember everything that happened.
Every second.
But I chose not to tell anyone.
Not yet.
Because I don’t trust them completely.
There’s something dangerous sleeping inside me… something even I don’t understand.
And the moment people find out about it…
Things will change.
For now, I need this power for only one reason.
My family.
Someone out there already knows about this power… and they want it.
Which means they’re a threat.
And if they try to use my family against me…
My eyes narrowed as that thought crossed my mind.
I won’t let that happen.
Not now.
Not ever.
Arian and Eden seem trustworthy.
They already know my identity… yet they haven’t tried anything suspicious.
But still…
Trust isn’t something I can give so easily.

So for now…
I’ll watch.
And I’ll grow stronger.
Silently.
I have to be careful.
Before using these powers again, I need to learn how to control them.
If I don’t… things might go wrong in the future.
A sharp pain suddenly spreads through my head.
I press my fingers against my temple and close my eyes.
My head is hurting.
I should sleep… before it gets worse.
Slowly, the darkness takes over.
The next day
Warm rays of sunlight fall across my face.
My eyes slowly open as the morning light fills the room.
For a moment, I stare at the ceiling, letting my mind wake up.
Today is the first day of training.
I get up from the bed and prepare myself.
Just as I finish—
Knock. Knock.
I walk to the door and open it.
Standing outside is Sophy, holding a tray with breakfast.
She smiles gently.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning, Sophy,” I reply.
She tilts her head slightly.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Yes, I did,” I replied.
Sophy nodded slightly before speaking again.
“Well, Arian wants to meet you before the training. He’s waiting in his office.”
“Okay. I’ll go.”
She hesitated for a moment, then looked at me with a curious smile.
“Kelix… you know you’ve become a star in the academy overnight.”
“A star?” I raised an eyebrow.
“Yes,” she said softly. “Some admire you… and some are jealous.”
I stayed silent and let her continue.
“Everyone is talking about the same thing. How a newcomer managed to defeat the elite Eden… and even stand against the top hunters, especially Travis.”
Her voice lowered a little.
“Travis is extremely famous in the academy. Most students are connected to him in some way. And Eden… well, he’s rarely here. He’s usually outside the academy, protecting the southern direction.”
I crossed my arms slightly, listening.
“So naturally,” she continued, “everyone has the same questions.”
“Where did Kelix come from?”
“How does he have such power?”
“But Arian handled the situation.”
I looked at her.
“What did he say?”
Sophy smiled faintly.
“He told everyone that you are his disciple.”
“He said he had been training you since childhood… and that’s why you’re so strong.”
I remained quiet.
“He also said,” Sophy continued, “that he didn’t want anyone to know about you until you were fully ready.”
Her eyes met mine.
“Because you’re… special.”
“And now that you’ve appeared, you only need a little more guidance to become even stronger.”
The room fell silent for a moment
“ I also don’t know that you are an Arian disciple.”
“Even though I also don't know it yet ,Kelix whispers.”
“Did you say something”?
“Oh no don’t I just think why did he have to tell everyone that I am special he always exaggerates things .”
“Did he often do that”?
“Kind of , btw best of luck for your training”.
“well Sophy I wanna thank you for the help you help me a lot thank you so much” .
“No, it's just breakfast. Why thank you.”
“Yeah it’s just a breakfast but thank you for the book and explaining to me how to control the powers, if it’s not you then I might lose”.
“Kelix, sorry to interrupt but I think you are misunderstanding. I am the caretaker of the academy. I am not a hunter. I may know some basic magic but not much to teach someone” .
“My mother is the chief caretaker here, everything from academy chores, weapons to food library to battle ground she handles it and I want to do the same that’s why I start from the low .
So no one thinks that it’s because of my mother that I got the job. I have to learn so many things so how can I tell you about the rules of the fight and controlling magic while I just start the job of caretaking”.
“Ohhhh I am sorry but I know it’s you ,how can this be possible cause at midnight you gave me the books and handmade notes for power control and they told me the rules”.
“No it’s definitely not me cause the power control and rules are only known by the hunter student because fighting rules are set by the elites and it has nothing to do with caretaking so even my mom didn’t know it’s definitely a former student or current student who disguises as me.”
“Hmmm if it’s not you then maybe someone else but I barely know anyone here why would someone help me” .
“Well whatever it is, isn't it great that someone wants to help you? I tried to find out if I got the hint. I'll tell you who has helped you” .
“Okay but still thank you .”
“No it’s nothing but You're most welcome”.
“Have a good day” .
Sophy leave
Door closed
Huh .. then who had helped me then. ?
It’s so stressful, well I think for now I have to focus on the training .
I got to see Arian because he wanted to meet me. I knock the door open and Arian is sitting at the chair.
“Ohh morning Kelix I waited for you.”
“Sorry to let you wait for me that much”.
“No it’s alright Kelix don’t be sorry” .
Arian is really a chill guy responsible, cheerful and at the same time his presence holds great power. He is straightforward with his words and smart.
“Humph: Well, what do you want to talk about”?.
“Well Kelix your training starts from today and you want to go back home as soon as possible. I think you have to know something before starting your training . I hope you are interested. “
“No ,I am not interested but also I don’t mind” .
“Well then take a seat” .
“We both sat down facing each other” .
“Kelix I start directly .”
“Your world isn’t different from ours,” he continued. “It’s simply a place that exists in another dimension.”
“We both live on Earth… but our lives are not the same as ordinary humans.”
His voice became more serious.
“Because we are the ones who protect it.”
His eyes studied me carefully.
“And your power… it isn’t normal.”
“You must already feel it. Deep inside, you know you’re something special.”
“But having power alone is meaningless if you cannot control it.”
“You will have to work hard to master it.”
I frowned slightly.
“Sorry, Arian,” I said honestly. “I know I lost consciousness during the fight… but I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
“If I really had something that great inside me, I would definitely know it.”
I looked down at my hand.
“Yes… I do feel a small amount of power inside me.”
“But nothing like what everyone is saying.”
Arian suddenly chuckled softly.
“You should see yourself when you lose control of it.”
I looked up.
“There’s nothing small about that power.”
His eyes narrowed slightly.
“In fact… it’s terrifying.”
A small smile appeared on his face.
“But at the same time… it’s amazing.”
“The rage in your eyes… the sheer intent to destroy everything in your path.”
The room fell silent.
“That,” Arian said quietly, “is the true power sleeping inside you.”
“Even if I accept what you’re saying for a moment,” I said slowly, “that I might have some mysterious and powerful ability…”
I looked straight at him.
“I’m still just a normal human.”
I took a deep breath before continuing.
“And until the day I lost my family… I had never even heard about hunters.”
My voice became quieter.
“So believe me, Arian…”
“If there really is something strange or dangerous inside me, then I would be the first person to tell you.”
I clenched my fist slightly.
“Because if that power is real… then I would want to get rid of it.”
My eyes lowered for a moment.
“So that I could live a normal life again.”
“A life with my family.”
The room fell silent.
“I get suffocated with all these things. My life is upside down and it’s being a hell “.
