January 1, 2022.
In a land ominously known as the “Nation Struck by Heaven,” the sky is never truly at peace. Lightning rips through the clouds with manic frequency—more than twenty times a day. The deafening thunder sounds like divine curses hurled upon all existence.
Livestock are burned to blackened remains, the earth splits apart, yet strangely, fifteen humans who were struck directly only fell into delirious comas, then awoke as if they had returned from death itself.
Terrified and exhausted, the villagers fled, abandoning the land to desolate ruins—prey to entities no longer belonging to humankind.
That girl—the one we call Lightning—was trembling as she fled across the peak of a high mountain. Within her dwelled the power of natural catastrophe, a force capable of lighting a hundred million bulbs in a single minute, yet her heart was more fragile than anyone else’s. Afraid she would turn those near her into ashes, she chose solitude among the clouds and frigid lakes.
The government called it “The Mountain of Wrath.”
Scientists called her a “Research Subject.”
She only wanted to be human.
Part 2. Innocence Wrapped in Rubber
“Don’t be afraid. We’re here to help you.”
Those were the sweetest words Lightning had ever heard. They dressed her in thick rubber protective gear—gloves and heavy boots. They said it was to “isolate the electrical contamination,” to protect both her and everyone else. They looked at her with the eyes of those who had discovered a gold mine, yet she mistook that gaze for salvation.
In the cold corridors of the research institute, Lightning met children—small souls standing at death’s threshold.
“Are you here to help cure cancer and polio too?”
A child named A1 looked up at her, eyes overflowing with hope.
Lightning smiled, her clear voice echoing behind the protective mask.
“Yes. I’m here to help medicine.”
One by one, the children shared their suffering.
One wanted to save a father dying from terminal liver cancer.
Another wished to heal legs paralyzed for ten years.
Another was an orphan, hoping their life had value enough not to be discarded.
Their confessions became invisible ropes, tightening Lightning’s faith in the so-called “FAIRY Project.”
“This project is humanity’s hope,” the elderly Professor said as he stepped in, severing the emotional tide.
“You are the fairy who will save us all.”
Part 3. Echoes from the Abyss
In a distant dwelling where souls once trampled by humanity now resided, the air was thick with fury.
When the Master returned and spoke of a “new friend” integrating into the human world, a psychological earthquake erupted.
Nebelselle (expression shifting from suspicion to icy rage, voice sharp as a blade):Integrating into the human world is no different from suicide. Integration is turning yourself into a victim. The human world isn’t a place to “integrate”—it’s a grave. She’s turning herself into prey!
HuaZessin (eyes wide, voice flaring like fire):Blindness! She chose to live among them? How does she think she can integrate with humans? If she believes she can do so without being harmed, she’s dreaming. Stupidly naive. She’s walking straight into death.
Erlaibijin (voice trembling, eyes darkening as old memories resurface):There is no integration—only hunting. She will be hunted, toyed with, torn apart, and devoured. If she is still there, she must escape now! Humans will kill her! And if she survives, she won’t be herself anymore. If she dies… then at least she’ll understand why we all hate humans. A lesson paid for with her life.
DeesSwano (teeth clenched, fists trembling):She’s insulting everything I endured! Skull crushed? The most brutal torture? Does she think humans have changed? They haven’t. They’ve only learned to disguise it. Stepping in there is willingly offering her life for their next form of entertainment!
Gigyeumu (hoarse voice, shadowed gaze):I once believed in humans… and they betrayed me. She thinks she’ll be the exception? I know this well. She’ll be nothing more than a tool—a toy—then discarded and hunted. Integration is a lie.
DaljoaMoon (shuddering, hands shaking):I still feel the electricity ripping through my heart—pain so intense I couldn’t even scream. She’s willingly stepping into that world? There can be no integration. It’s only a brightly colored trap. I know how cruel humans can be. I will never believe she’ll be safe in their arms.
JoouSeele (leaning back, staring straight at the Master with profound disappointment, as though the Master too were naive):The more she “integrates,” the deeper she’ll understand humans—and the more she’ll hate them. It’s a vicious cycle. I’ve seen it all before. She’ll return to us in tears… or never return at all.
Saintlyshu (grabbing a weapon decisively, eyes burning with determination and familiar ferocity):Where is she? I’m going to drag her back! If not, then I’ll go protect her—before those savage humans kill her!
Ang-Fuohiko (face pale, stepping back, covering her mouth as if about to vomit from disgust, voice trembling with hatred):Master, she’s playing with death and filth. I was raped by them! There is nothing good in their nature! Is she insane, or has she been brainwashed? They must not be trusted! If she thinks humans won’t do the same to her… she’ll soon learn what hell truly is.
The Master remained silent, lost in thought.
They all—the ones who once trusted, once loved, and were mercilessly betrayed—saw Lightning’s ending clearly.
An ending written in blood and exploitation.
Part 4. The Soul-Draining Machine
Inside the underground laboratory, fluorescent lights flickered endlessly.
Lightning was placed into a massive machine, surrounded by countless thin cables.“Just one minute,” the scientists reassured her.
Vzzzzzt!
Electricity was violently ripped from her body.
It felt as if her organs were being hollowed out, as if her soul were torn into fragments. One minute stretched like a century. When she emerged, her legs wobbled, her face drained of color.
Yet when she saw the children waiting outside, she forced a smile.
She didn’t know that the duration of that “one minute” would increase day by day.She didn’t know that the “charged particles” they sought to remove were her very life.
And the “FAIRY Project” was never meant to save humanity—it was meant to drain a goddess dry, until nothing remained but an empty shell.
Part 5. Behind the Humanitarian Curtain
One week had passed since Lightning first set foot in the research institute.Friday, January 7, 2022. The already-fragile soul link between the Master and the girl was suddenly severed. All that remained was a cold, hollow void.
When the Master found her, reality proved more brutal than even Nebelselle’s darkest prophecies. There was no modern ward, no respect reserved for a so-called “benefactor.” Her body had been dumped in the garbage yard behind the laboratory—a place reeking of death, where the stench of rotting animal carcasses mixed with mutilated human remains.
Only then did the truth become clear: beneath the elegant name “FAIRY Project,” this place was nothing more than a slaughterhouse.
Part 6. Regret That Came Too Late
[Setting: A bleak afternoon. Cold rain pours down like molten lead onto the porch. The Master steps inside, trembling arms cradling a lifeless body, covered by a white cloth soaked in rainwater.]
“I brought her back… but it’s too late.”
The Master’s voice was low and hoarse, choking in his throat.
“They killed her. Just as you all said… they drained her dry, then tossed her away like trash.”
The air froze.
Nebelselle stepped forward, pale lips unable to form a single word. All her doubts and hatred had crystallized into a bitter truth so vile it made her nauseous.
“Murderers!” HuaZessin screamed, rage erupting around her like flames threatening to incinerate the gray sky itself.
Gigyeumu stood still. Her usual scornful smile was gone, replaced by the hollow gaze of someone who had completely lost faith in the world.
“This is the price of innocence. From this day forward, I will never forgive anyone who still dares to harbor kindness toward humanity.”
DaljoaMoon and Erlaibijin collapsed, tears streaming down their faces. Lightning’s death was not merely the end of a life—it was the collapse of the last remaining hope in human compassion.
Part 7. The Resurrection Ritual: One Trillion Volts
“Stop crying. She isn’t truly dead yet.”
Gigyeumu’s words became a faint ray of light in the darkness. She explained that Lightning had fallen into a deep coma due to complete depletion of her primordial energy. To save her, the Master would have to attempt a mad endeavor: feeding her thunder.
For nearly an entire month, the Master carried her cold body on his back, crossing the harshest lands—where storm clouds churned endlessly and lightning tore through the night. This continued until Ang-Fuohiko and Gigyeumu completed the “Thunder Accumulator”—a device capable of drawing electrical energy from across an entire hemisphere.

The Master returned, the machine blazing with red warning lights. Instead of the required one billion volts, he had charged it with one trillion volts.
When that colossal surge of electricity poured into Lightning’s body, the space itself trembled. Her eyes snapped open—but the clarity they once held was gone.
“You vicious humans… all of you should die!”
A deafening explosion rang out as an overwhelming bolt of lightning struck the Master directly.
Nebelselle: What are you doing?
HuaZessin: Why would you attack the one who saved you?
DeesSwano: Do you know why you’re still alive right now?
Lightning (panicked): I—I’m sorry!
Gigyeumu: Is the Master alright?
Master: I’m fine. It felt like a mosquito bite, that’s all.
DaljoaMoon: Are you immune to lightning now? Have you been struck before?
Master: The very first time I carried her to collect thunder, I was already struck by lightning.
JoouSeele: Like a mosquito bite, huh… That attack earlier must’ve been around a million volts.
Part 8. Youseinder and the Horrifying Truth
“I’m sorry…”The small girl trembled after the violent surge of energy.
The Master gently stroked her hair and asked softly,“Tell me what happened.”
Through tears, she revealed the brutality of the “FAIRY Project.” Those scientists never saved anyone. They deceived orphaned children, devoted sons and daughters trying to earn money to treat their parents’ illnesses, turning them into test subjects to study how humans survive natural disasters. When she discovered the truth behind the corpses hidden within the laboratory and confronted them, they mercilessly drained all her energy in a single session—to silence her forever.
“Your name will be Youseinder,” the Master said quietly.
“A fusion of Yousei (fairy) and Thunder. A new beginning.”
Part 9. Unity Forged in Hatred
They returned to the old laboratory, only to find it reduced to a field of smoldering ashes. The government had erased all traces with an explosion, burying the crime beneath the label of “nuclear radiation contamination.”
Back home, Youseinder sat among the others. One by one, they spoke of their suffering:
- Nebelselle was framed by lies and false accusations.
- HuaZessin was burned alive.
- DeesSwano and DaljoaMoon were tortured to death.
- Gigyeumu was betrayed by humans.
- Ang-Fuohiko carried the humiliation of rape.
- Saintlyshu was shot by humans.
- Erlaibijin was hunted like a wild beast from the moment of birth.
And now, Youseinder—used, drained, and discarded like garbage.
Ten souls. Ten different agonies. One shared curse: humans are never worthy of trust.Within that small house, a dark alliance was formally born, bound together by shattered lives and hatred carved deep into the bone.
Part 10. Reunion Amid Fire and Smoke
Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
The television screen overflowed with chaos. The “Nation Struck by Heaven” was shaking under the footsteps of beings known as “Mutants.” The government was powerless. The military had been crushed.
“We’re going to save people.”
The Master’s words echoed through the silent room, stunning everyone. Youseinder froze, hatred still burning deep in her eyes.“What? Why should we save them? Aren’t humans traitors?”
“Because it is the Master’s will,” Ang-Fuohiko replied coldly, the flames around her flickering softly.
“The Master’s command is absolute,” Erlaibijin and Saintlyshu said in unison. In this world, his words were the only law they clung to.
When they arrived at the battlefield, smoke and dust swallowed all visibility. Then, amid the screams, a hoarse voice rang out:
“Is that… Sister Thunder?”
Youseinder stopped short. Before her were not mindless monsters, but beings encased in strange, rugged armor—without eyes, without ears. They were Alpha, Beta, Gamma… the pitiful children from the laboratory years ago.
Part 11. A Brutal Evolution
“You… why have you become like this?” Youseinder trembled.
The story was told through distorted voices echoing from within iron shells. After draining Youseinder dry, the scientists had poured her energy into these children. They detonated nuclear weapons, throwing them into the heart of hell again and again to create “superior humans.”
The experiment succeeded.
They could no longer die from earthquakes, volcanoes, or radiation.
But the price was the complete destruction of their human forms.
Their flesh fused permanently with the armor. Their faces warped into grotesque, tumor-like masses. The government attempted to erase the evidence with a nuclear explosion, but the experiment’s excessive success allowed them to survive underground—nurturing hatred until this very day.
“I’m alive because someone risked his life to save me… that person is the Master,” Youseinder introduced him to the children.
“And I know someone who can give you your human forms back.”
Part 12. Light at the End of the Tunnel
Through teleportation, Gigyeumu appeared. As she looked at the deformed beings, her eyes held no fear—only deep compassion.
“Come to my laboratory,” she said.
The children shuddered at the word laboratory, but Youseinder’s reassurance calmed them. Riding atop a colossal cloud created by Nebelselle, the group soared into the sky, leaving the ruined battlefield behind.
Wednesday, March 2, 2022. At Gigyeumu’s research facility.
“I can help you regain human forms,” Gigyeumu declared, carrying a choked yet fragile hope for the cursed souls.
“But…”
Chi: Is there any problem, Sister?
Gigyeumu: I can only help you regain your human form one time only. If you revert to your "Mutant" form, you will never be able to return to human form again. Do you understand clearly?
Youseinder: Do you promise me you will never revert to your "Mutant" form?
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Eta, Theta, Lambda, Mu, Omicron, Pi, Rho, Sigma, Tau, Phi, Chi, Psi, and Omega, all agreed.
Phi: We will not go back to this ugly monster form.
Gigyeumu: Ang-Fuohiko, come here and assist me. I will handle the first nine: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Eta, Theta, Lambda, and Mu. You will handle the remaining nine.
Ang-Fuohiko: Yes, Sister.
The rescue operation was successful; they all regained their human appearances.
Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.
The Master, along with Nebelselle, DeesSwano, DaljoaMoon, and JoouSeele, brought the children home. The moment of reunion between the children and their families was deeply moving.
Alpha’s Father: Didn't the government announce you were dead?
Alpha: It must have just been a misunderstanding, Father.
Alpha’s Father: Then let me inform the government.
Alpha: No need, Father.
Master: There's no need, Sir. Doesn't it seem unusual that an entire group of children who were declared dead are suddenly returning? I helped them return, but if this news leaks out, especially to the government or other forces, the safety of Alpha and the other children could be threatened. They might want to take the children back, or worse.
Master: Currently, the best way to protect Alpha is to let him continue to be considered... "missing" or "deceased" according to the old records. I know this is hard to accept, but this is the best for your son's safety right now. Please trust me.
Alpha’s Father: (Nodding, choking up) I understand... Thank you... Thank you for bringing my son back...
The families of the subsequent children were similar.
After ensuring Omega was safely settled, the Master and the group (Nebelselle, DeesSwano, DaljoaMoon, and JoouSeele) returned home. Now, it was time to confront the situation outside: The Master needed to act to stop the government's pursuit, which was aimed at non-existent "Mutants."
The Master sent an anonymous letter to the Government: "The Mutants have been neutralized."
The Government ignored it; the military commander continued the "Mutant" hunt.
Military Commander: We must destroy the roots to prevent regrowth. If they breed later, their children will be a threat to us.
Part 13. The Trap Called Peace
Friday, April 1st, 2022.
One month passed, and the Government's efforts were like "searching for a needle in a haystack."
President: Could it be that the Mutants really died?
Prime Minister: We need to see the bodies to confirm death.
Presidential Advisor: I have a way to lure them out. Aren't they just children, after all?
The Government announced the end of the manhunt and lifted the state of emergency.
President: Why are you doing this?
Presidential Advisor: We do this so that the Mutants become careless and drop their guard, thinking they are safe, thus appearing in society. That way, they will be easier to capture.
Prime Minister: Those who were once declared "dead" but suddenly reappear will be placed on the suspicion list.
It was International Children's Day. Today, the government organized a large festival under the guise of celebrating the 200th anniversary of Children's Day.
The Alpha group and their families went out to participate in the nation's major event. Security cameras recorded and reported to the government that people who had been officially reported as dead were actually appearing on the streets.
The military was immediately deployed to the location.
The military directed unrelated people to move away, leaving only those whom the security cameras identified as having died but being alive.
The military then opened fire on that group of people to eliminate them. To protect their families, the Alpha group decided to discard their human forms and revert to their Mutant forms. This was despite Gigyeumu's warning that reverting to the "Mutant" form would make it permanent.
Alpha: You people forced us!
Beta: Do you think a person who survived a nuclear explosion can be killed by bullets?
The Minister of Defense heard this and immediately reported to the President.
President: So, the experiment was a success?
Minister of Defense: Please give your command, Sir.
President: Persuade them to join the military and help the country.
The Minister of Defense spoke to the Alpha group:
Minister of Defense: I convey the President's order. He wants you to perform one mission: Destroy nuclear weapons globally.
Minister of Defense: If you succeed and return safely, we will spare your families. If you fail, your families' lives will continue to be threatened.
The Vice Prime Minister appeared:
Vice Prime Minister: The government is acting not only for its own interests but also out of the ambition to eliminate the nuclear threat. We know this will turn you into unwilling heroes. Every great power in the world will even consider you potential enemies.
The Alpha group began to hesitate. Suddenly, a familiar voice appeared.
Master: There are no heroes here; they are only children.
The Alpha group was overjoyed to see the person they considered their true hero again.
Youseinder: This story is exactly like the "hunt to kill" story of Saintlyshu.
Gigyeumu: I don't have faith in humans because I understand how malicious the human heart is. Therefore, I only removed 90% of the mutated cells from your bodies, keeping 10% of the mutated cells. And you truly needed it.
Erlaibijin: If you truly want to destroy nuclear weapons, do it yourselves. Don't use our families as a threat.
Ang-Fuohiko: Do you know how long people exposed to nuclear radiation can live? Their lifespan is counted in days.
All: "What?" (Everyone was surprised: the Government faction, the Mutants, the Master's faction.)
Ang-Fuohiko: Huh, didn't everyone know?
Gigyeumu: I have recovered and partially published the experiment data.
Master: Withdraw your troops immediately, and never, even in thought, touch any of their relatives.
Minister of Defense: You are acting against the nation.
Erlaibijin: No. We are acting against inhumanity.
With that, the Master's group and the Mutants disappeared, leaving the Government to face the public's outrage.
Gigyeumu made the entire experiment file public globally, leading to strong international condemnation.
Part 14. When the Children Completed Their Mission
Monday, April 18th, 2022.
The Government was overthrown.
The children's lifespan had run out; they vanished permanently into the void.
The Master felt helpless because he couldn't save the children.
Alpha's Father: When my son vanished, he didn't die. He completed his mission. He protected us. You don't need to regret it. You brought us eternal comfort: that our son was a hero, not a monster.
Beta's Mother: You did what no one else dared to do. Though the outcome is painful, thanks to you, we had the chance to hold our child one last time. Thank you... from the bottom of our hearts.
Gamma's Father: If not for you, we would forever live in agony, not knowing if our child was alive or lost. You gave us hope, and love.
Delta's Mother: We don't blame you. We know you did everything you could. The children chose to sacrifice themselves to protect us. That was the choice of brave hearts.
Epsilon's Father: Even though they are no longer here, their memory will live forever in our hearts.
Eta's Mother: You fought not for fame, but for humanity. That is something we will always remember.
Theta's Father: The government may have been overthrown, but you built something much greater: belief in human goodness.
Lambda's Mother: You were the only one who saw the children not as monsters, but as people. And we know, they saw you as a second father.
Mu's Father: You gave us a chance to say goodbye. No one can understand how precious that is.
Omicron's Mother: All of us here are grateful to you.
Pi's Father: If anyone deserves to be called a hero, it is you.
Rho's Mother: You didn't save everyone, but you saved the most important thing: the children's dignity.
Sigma's Father: We will tell this story to the next generation. About the brave children, and about the one who fought for them.
...
The Master returned home with a despairing, heavy expression.
Nebelselle: (Steps closer, places a hand on the Master's shoulder. Her voice is gentle, devoid of her usual bitterness, but full of understanding.) You did your absolute best. You couldn't fight destiny... or a biological mechanism that was programmed in advance.
HuaZessin: (Saddened. She looks out the window, where the world is in chaos.) They chose to protect their families, and they won. Their sacrifice was not in vain. You gave them their final moment of humanity and courage.
Youseinder: (Hugging the Master's arm, tears streaming down her face.) Master... I am the only one who survived that lab. You saved me. You are my hero. You couldn't save everyone, but you saved me.
Gigyeumu: (Her tone is calm, factual, but mixed with respect.) None of us, including you, could change the original data. The moment they reverted to their Mutant form, the biological degradation process started. You bought them an extra month of peace, a month of reunion with their families. That was a miracle, not a failure.
Ang-Fuohiko: (Placing a hand on the Master's shoulder.) They did not vanish meaninglessly. They left behind a better world.
Saintlyshu: (Speaking softly.) Stop blaming yourself. The government has been overthrown, the truth has been exposed. That is thanks to you.
...
