Now that we have officially completed Book 1, I wanted to take a moment to reflect. It is absolutely amazing that so many of you are reading this and enjoying the story. To be completely honest, when I first started, I never actually expected to finish it. But the deeper I got into the story and this world, the more motivation I found to see it through to the very end.

  ?It has been an incredible journey writing about Valerie, watching her grow from a wandering street child into nobility, and exploring the complex, intense ways she deals with Demian and the rest of the cast.

  ?Right now, I am working incredibly hard on the first few chapters of Book 2! Once I have those rolling, I will probably also start working on a comic adaptation of the story, which is something I'm really excited about.
