Undercover pt2

  —

“What do you think of this new organization calling themselves the sin brokers?”

  “Who?”

“The newest group of sin hunters on the market. Some are even saying that they'll replace the HAS”

“Yeah right, no one can be better than the originals. These sin brokers are just a fad, they'll be gone in a week”

  —

“What do you think of this new organization calling themselves the sin brokers?”

“Honestly? I think they're some of the best sin hunters we've had in ages.”

“Do you believe they could eventually replace the HAS?”

“No the HAS is way too old to be replaced. but they should, I mean the HAS was a pretty good deterrent for its time, but we're in the modern age now, I think it's time a new group took the spotlight.”

  —

“Sin brokers? Those guys ain't replacing anything, they're way too expensive, the og HAS didn't ask for payment, they just did the job. Why do I have to pay a thousand yen for my life to be saved? How can they put a price on life”

  —

“I heard a rumor that the sin brokers have multiple angel gears.”

  —

“I never did like the HAS, those bastards send out kids into battle, at least with the sin brokers we can be sure that our kids are safe out there y'know?”

  —

“My brother joined the HAS, and we haven't heard from him in months. Sin brokers all the way.”

  —

“I don't get what everyone sees in this new group, with the HAS we didn't have to pay out of our pockets, and the HAS provides top tier protection. And between you and me… I know they're doing something illegal behind the scenes I just can't prove it”

  —

  “These sin brokers-”

  —

  “The HAS”

  —

  “Sin brokers-”

  —

“Quite the predicament the HAS has found itself in, hasn't it?”

Kiyohime juryoku sat at the circular table of a large board room. And in all the other seats, were all the other directors of all the other sin hunter agencies across the world.

“I'm fully aware that we've found ourself falling into a hard place, however I have the situation under control. These sin brokers are simply just another group of people trying to rise above the HAS, this is nothing new, and it's definitely not something that we need a meeting for.” kiyohime said, her voice silky smooth, scanning the people around her.

“Miss juryoku, while i have faith in your ability to curb this insurrection, you cannot act like this isn't the most successful any group has ever been in replacing your division” said the director of the Russian MPSA, Rory mordova

“It doesn't matter how big they are, you know that when we do something, success is an absolute” kiyohime said.

“you act quite confident, but you're ignoring the elephant in the room.” On the other side of the table, Laura Graves of SEVENS spoke up. “youre ignoring the public opinion. You can put a stop to those sin brokers all you want but as long as public opinion is swaying towards them you ought to be very worried.”

“What are you talking about?” Kiyohime asked the woman with a glare.

“Isn't it obvious? While the HAS has been for millennia, that does not mean it can't be Removed. If the majority of Japan decides to remove you from your position, then the global sin authority will have no choice but to remove you, and In your place, the sin brokers.” The woman said, staring at kiyohime with a knowing smirk “though I bet you didn't think of that, did you angel gear?” She said the last part like it was a slur.

“your lack of faith disturbs me miss Graves”

“She speaks the truth tho” said the director of onmyo corp.

This surprised kiyohime as she looked back at the man.

“Surely you do not expect us to place trust in faith.”

Kiyohime's fingers twitch imperceptibly against the table

“Id expect you to trust in my track record.” The violet eyes woman said

“its difficult to trust you at all. What with you saying nothing about that mysterious fourth angel gear of yours.” Laura said.

This caused all eyes to fall on her. And then kiyohime.

The director of the HAS did not flinch. “That has nothing to do with the topic at hand”

“I'm aware, but it does make it very difficult to trust you. Surely you are aware of the influence that your kind holds. If I didn't know any better id say you were trying to climb to the level of the Americans. All you angel gears are the same.” She said that last part underneath her breath, but kiyohime still heard it.

“Careful, your bias is showing.” Kiyohime glared at the woman across from her.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“Okay that's enough. This meeting is clearly going nowhere” said Godfrey, the director of England’s ESU

The whole room suddenly went quiet as the Englishman spoke.

It was no common occurrence for the ESU director to speak at all. The fact that he chose to do so now made the atmosphere tense.

“It's not going anywhere because certain people are talking about unimportant things. Not because of me." Kiyohime pointed out, her glare unwavering from Laura “as I mentioned earlier. I have this all under control. By the end of the month, the SB will be nothing more than a foot note in the annals of history”

  “Let's hope so.” Godfrey said.

  The Chinese director said nothing.

after a few more minutes of extended silence, the directors all filed out of the room one by one.

As all the directors left, only kiyohime remained in the room. Sitting at the table, thinking back on everything that had happened.

It was then that Ash walked into the room, and came up to her. “Hey, uh everything good? What happened in here?” He asked. Even though she didn't need it, kiyohime had brought ash as a bodyguard, just like all the other directors.

She turned to ash “how much faith do you have in those kids” she asked.

  Alot, why?”

“Those kids are probably the only ones standing in the way of us and defeat and they don't even know it.”

Ash raised an eyebrow, he wasn't listening in. He couldn't, the entire room had been soundproofed specifically so that he couldn't hear anything.

“It seems like the cycle restarted, I've

spent my whole term as director making sure no kids would ever have to bear the weight of the world again. And yet…”

“Well I mean they are division 13, it's practically tradition”

  “It shouldn't be”

“Well.. look on the bright side, after they win, you don't have anything to worry about. Because division 13 always comes out on top. You should know that better than anyone, as a former member yourself.”

  —meanwhile—

Konchuu and liun searched through the empty halls of the detention center, they would occasionally spot certain people doing things that were very well illegal

In one room there was a few people snorting lines of cocaine and injecting themselves with substances that were definitely illegal.

In other rooms people were doing unspeakable things to each other and in others people were fighting and others surrounding them were betting on who would win.

Konchuu made sure to take pictures of what was happening in every room. Not allowing himself to miss a single thing.

Liun was absolutely disgusted, sure he'd been aware that these weren't exactly the best people, but they were apparently trying to completely replace the HAS based off what he was told, so this was just completely unacceptable.

Konchuu lowered his phone slightly, jaw tight. “This place is worse than I thought.”

Suddenly konchuu was driven forward as a knife was driven through his back.

Liun quickly put his guard up as the bald man from before was attacking them.

He threw his leg at liun who blocked it throwing him off.

“I knew you weren't no damn transporters” the man said, with a devilish grin on his face.

“哦親愛的” liun said as he stepped back from the man.

The man cut his own wrists with his fingers causing blood to poor out.

Suddenly the blood started flowing up, into his hands forming knives.

Liun was surprised. Was this man.. an angel gear?

“I'm gonna cut you boys up real good” the psychotic man said as he ran at them.

  —meanwhile—

Yui and asaka walked. The heavy bass from the rave vibrated through the floorboards, a rhythmic thumping that seemed to sync with the frantic beating of Yui’s heart.

“How are we supposed to know where to go?” Yui asked as they navigated through the crowds.

“We'll probably just see a door or something, then we can just head in there” the girl said before noticing yui heading off somewhere else.

The girl had felt a pull in that direction, there was definitely a sin in that direction. Tho she wondered why she wasn't running off to go kill it like before.

She weaved through the crowd trying to get to what she felt, it was then that she noticed a child.

A little girl who couldn't be older than 7 was running through the crowd, and yui was being pulled towards the girl.

Was that little girl a sin or something? No that couldn't be possible, she looked nothing like a sin.

She kept pushing through the crowd until she finally caught up with the little girl, she grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around.

The girl looked panicked, terrified even.

“Hey hey, there's no need to be scared, I'm a sin hunter, one of the good guys. Now why don't you tell me what a girl as young as you is doing in a place like this.” Yui asked, doing her best to ignore all the instincts in her head telling her to attack this child,

The girl pushed her away “stay away from me if you wanna live!”

Yui froze for half a second-not from fear, but from the violent, overwhelming pull screaming inside her chest. Every instinct, every sense, every thread of her being was telling her the same thing:

  Attack the child

But her eyes… her face… her trembling hands

  No. She looked human.

“Hey- hey, slow down,” Yui said, holding her hands up. “I’m not here to hurt you. I just want to get you out of here, okay?”

The girl backed away, bumping into a passing dancer, nearly falling but being caught by some invisible force.

“I'm not the one you should be worried about miss” the little girl said timidly.

Yui was confused, until she felt a presence standing over her.

The girl was blasted through the crowd of people who scattered upon noticing what happened.

Yui looked up to see that what had struck her, was a sin. And based off how hard she'd been hit, it was probably a phase 2.

Normally when yui thought of a sin, her mind went to messed up humanoids or half monster half human hybrids. But this sin was not normal. Instead of having even a bit of human flesh, it was a giant teddy bear, standing at 8,3

  —meanwhile—

Malik quickly got his composure back and sat down, ISHGAR following suit. They both took a moment to straighten out their clothes.

ISHGAR looked around awkwardly, still blushing from the experience with the girls as Malik took a moment to take stock of the man in front of them. This person was clearly high up the chain

He placed the package on the table in front of them.

“Hm, much appreciated.” The man said, taking the package from across the table.

“We should really be on our way now sir” Malik said ready to bolt. Every second since he'd entered the building, he'd been secretly recording everything. Prostitution was illegal in Japan, so the SB owning a brothel was likely enough to get them out out of business.

“Yes you probably should. But before you go… do you know what was in this package?” The man asked

Malik had no idea what to say to this. A lot of companies transport companies inspected the package beforehand, but he had completely forgotten to check what was actually in the package that he was handing over. What was he supposed to say right now?

“OF COURSE NOT, A REAL MAN NEVER LOOKS AT ANOTHER'S PRIVATE PROPERTY” ISHGAR said, pointing to his puffed out chest.

Malik sighed, whatever happened next, was out of his hands.

“hmph, quite a respectable one you are” the boss man said, giving them an unreadable expression. “So since you don't know what was in the package let me tell you myself.”

He took a seconds before speaking again. “Bombs”

  “Huh?”

  “HUH!?”

“High grade explosives, with a similar yield to hmx explosives” the man explained. “That was what was in the three packages delivered today, or, what was supposed to be delivered, until the HAS took them and replaced them with duds”

This caused several alarm bells to start ringing in the heads of both the boys who were now on high alert.

“What are you talking about sir” Malik asked, pretending to not know anything.

“Tell me boys, how rewarding is it to work under the HAS?”

“Fuck” Malik instinctively reached for his guns to take the man out quick, but he and ISHGAR were quickly grabbed from behind by a couple of the girls in the brothel.

These girls were far stronger than regular girls.

“I AM UNCOMFORTABLE ONCE AGAIN!” ISHGAR said, trying to throw some of the girls off him.

The man let off a grin as he watched the two boys being restrained by the number of girls.

  —meanwhile—

Laura Graves had not taken the initiative to head back to America. She was instead staring out the window of the HAS building contently.

Her bodyguard seemed weirded out by the face the woman was making but he didn't comment.

“wondering why I'm so content?” She asked her guard who was surprised that she could guess what he was thinking but he responded anyway.

“I mean… why are you so content?”

“Because I know that soon.. I'll be rid of that damned angel gear.” The woman said with a look back at the poster of kiyohime’s face, that seemed to be all over the place “all I have to do.. is wait”
