I asked Catalina to go with her Uncles to the clinic and draw the twins' homeland Catalina tells me she will go by herself because the twins may be scared of men. I nod my head in agreement. Cat comes back and tells us that the twins are from King Frederick VI Coast in Greenland. It's known as the forbidden coast. She shows Ashura and Thoran the safest place to use the portal that is closest to water. She tells them there is a code phrase that needs to be said before any Merfolk will talk to them. The words are Siku killipput, siku killipput qianerput tusaajuk." It means Icebond, Icebond please hear our cry in greenlandic. Catalina tells them they will both have to say this phrase 5 times together. After studying the phrase and memorizing the exact location to place the portal, they leave through a portal. Although I have traveled through several portals. I can never get used to the feeling of being sucked into a mirror. It's what dirt must feel like when it's sucked up by a vacuum cleaner.   It wasn't long before 4 people came into the room. 1 person from each pod was here to verify or deny the claims. I introduce myself to the family members. I explain why I asked them to come.

  From what my brothers said. 1 Mer who said his name was Brin Glacien claims the whole Icebond pod was murdered by a greedy, treasonous uncle who wanted to control every creature in Greenland. Do any of you know this to be true?

What he failed to tell your brothers Alpha Jackson is he has a bounty on his head for murder. He is the one who killed the Royal Mer family. The reason he answered the call is because he is bound with blood ties. Unfortunately other Merfolk can't use this method on other Mer or he would already be shark food.

  The Call as it's named only works once a year and can never be used by the same person. Once someone uses The Call they only have one chance to get answers untrue or not.

  Another person speaks up. I'm Tavon. I'm from Saltfang. I know what Jordan says is true because I am the one who put the bounty on Brins head.

  Jordan tells us Brin had killed own mate. She was his Aunt. She refused to be a part of his plans. She left a message in her own blood. Bdnit. We found her diary hidden in a secret drawer of her vanity table. Her last entry was how Brin started changing after they went to New Orleans for a vacation. A dark witch ran straight into Brin. She didn't know what the witch had done to him but from that day Brin started turning into a monster. Talking about how he was going to kill his pod, get rid of the Royal family of Icebond by taking control of the ice sea creatures.

  My name is Paris. I am from Nightfall. I'm also Maris twin brother. We are closer to the Icebond pod. We heard the battle cry for help, but couldn't answer in time. It takes special gear for us to travel. By the time we arrived. He stopped talking. Everyone could tell he was holding back tears. He starts talking again. Brin really had learned to control the sea creatures in that area and that is how he was able to do the horrible act so quickly. No one stood a chance. We had to fight several Orcas.   I ask the members if they would be willing to adopt the girls.

Not because they don't want the girls but because the regions they live in would kill them since they are Ice Mer and since the depth of which Nightfall and Shadow Reef dwell is in the deepest part of the seas the pressure of the seas would kill them as well. So no fire Mer or Deep Sea dwellers could take them without harming them. Going back to Greenland or any ice climate is off limits as Brin is still on the run. I ask if what they say about their regions killing the twins are true, how was Brin able to live in different places of the seas? Jordan tells me that when Mers find their mates, they are linked together. He gives an example. If a Deep Sea Mer and Fire Mer are mated the Fire Mer can travel to the deepest part of the sea while the Deep Sea Mer can travel to the hottest parts of the world without harm. Since the girls are not mated yet it would harm them if they went to different regions. The only way a Mer can find their mate is if they are in human form but staying in human form for a long period becomes painful and they can no longer walk on 2 feet. Mers must be able to transform and swim.

  I turn to the girls and tell them they can have a home here. If they want. I can find a way to have a suitable habitat built for them if they want to stay.

  They look at each other and nod their heads yes. I tell them I will get started planning right away. Then a thought hits me. I look at Jordan, Travon and Paris and ask if a spelled Ice lake would be suitable? The girls answer in unison YES but we would also like 2 homes, one in water and one on land. I agree to their request and excuse myself telling the girls that their new homes will be ready by the time they are released from the clinic. They thank me and I take my leave.

  A mermaid followed me out and asked if we could talk in private. She had been in the room but never spoken a word. I told her we could talk in my office. She said that was fine with her.
