February 28th, 1919

We continued moving today. I tried to cheer up Angelo. Lawrence offered me a better way of doing it than just telling him to cheer up.

  "Angelo, I have a question," I called.

Angelo flinched, "You sound like an American."

I chose to ignore his words, "What's your favorite color?"

"Not white. Not gray. Probably green," he responded.

I nodded, "That's a pretty color to choose. The color of life and things. I bet you like the vibrant green instead of the army one."

He smiled, "Yeah. What's your favorite color?"

"I don't know," I informed him after a second of thought.

"You should figure it out. It makes life brighter," Angelo advised me.

I fell back to Lawrence and he asked, "How did it go?"

I smiled, "He seems much happier. I'm so happy that I finally cheered up someone."

Lawrence shook his head, "Even such a grump can cheer up someone when they try, but you? It's a miracle."
