While Layla occupied Morgan and Levi was currently reuniting with his friends, Lian was currently engaged in battle with the woman dressed in a Kimono.
Most of the trees around them were already split in half, and the ground itself was filled with slash mark that looked like they left deep wounds on the planet.
Lian burst out of a dust cloud, leaping backwards and skidding to a stop. Her chest heaved up and down and she gasped for air.
"This is bad," she muttered, wiping a smear of blood coming out of her nostril.
She was exhausted. For the past two days although not physically engaged, she had been working both her mind and stamina tirelessly.
Her currently being able to engage in a fight was yet another impressive feat. And even at the moment, she was currently working on deciphering the barrier covering the island.
In contrast to her gentle looks, she was ranked as a 2A Sentinel, which was one of the upper echelons most people would struggle to reach.
She wouldn't have been struggling this much on a normal day. But today was far from normal. Her strength was split, her stamina frayed, forcing her into a purely defensive fight.
"Please tell me that's not all the great barrier master has to offer," the woman's sly voice drawled as she stepped out slowly from the dust cloud clearing up.
Her eyes remained hidden by the white parasol in her hand.
"What... Exactly... Do... You guys freaking want?" Lian queried, panting and struggling to catch her breath in-between our words.
"Will you stop this child's struggle and surrender like a good girl if I tell you?" The lady responded, her lips curving slightly into a devious smirk.
Lian straightened, spat a fleck of blood onto the ground, and wiped her lips with the back of her right hand. "Good question..." she sighed. "But then I can't help but feel like you think you've complete won here."
"Right now, you should be the one asking for a chance to surrender."
The lady's smirk faded as quickly as it came. It was the first time she had seen Lian speak confidently in that manner since they arrived on the island.
Rather than the nervous or frustrated look she had earlier, her face was now completely dead serious. Even her demeanor had completely changed, now replaced with a calm confidence.
Suddenly she began to laugh. "Do you actually think... Do you think you can make a dent in it?"
"Even if you do, what help do you think you can call for. Before they find you, you'd all be dead."

However, Lian's face remaining unchanged, not moved even the slightest bit by the woman's words.
"Cain... That's the name of the annoying blonde guy, right?" Lian responded. "Earlier he mentioned something about looking out for an A Rank Sentinel—"
Before Lian could continue, the woman's smile faded once again. "I see..."
Slowly she lowered her parasol revealing her eyes. Nothing but white. She was blind.
That was when Lian figured out her identity. Selena.
She was Like Morgan, she was a name Lian had only heard in the context of danger. Not an internationally wanted criminal—not yet.
However she was a well known assassin in Aeroterra.
"I'll spare your life if you tell me one thing," Selena said. "The King of hell... Which one is he?"
Hearing Selena's question and noticing the change in her demeanor, Lian simply smiled, remaining quiet.
While Zenon and Emilia stood out as the strongest individuals in Metreona, there was often one more entity people mentioned had the potential to rival them. However after a tragic incident, he suddenly vanished from the minds of most individuals which was the identity seal at work.
And in order to avoid slip ups, heavy seals were also placed on him to limit his power greatly.
Shortly after, his retirement was announced. What he looked like, what he sounded like, and even his powers were forgotten by people. He walks among them but no one recognizes him.
But everyone knew one thing. This man was known as the King of hell. And he was the strongest grade 1 A Rank Sentinel.
Selena and the others had been warned that the King of Hell was among the teachers trapped on the island. Yet when they first arrived and surveyed the group, they dismissed the claim as fantasy. No one there radiated the overwhelming presence they expected.
If the seals on him could be lifted, it would mean disaster for them. Those seals were locked by the Sentinel HQ itself; impossible to break from the outside. But if Lian managed to breach the barrier, even slightly, the locks could be undone. And once that happened… their defeat would be inevitable.
Selena’s grip on her parasol tightened. She lifted it before her and slid the handle apart, revealing the gleaming curve of a katana beneath.
"I'll ask again," Selena raised the parasol up before her, slowly pulling it's bottom, revealing a katana. "Which of them is the King of hell?"
It might have seemed like Lian was giving away a critical piece of information, but she was stalling—and she knew Selena would ignore anything ordinary.
"It's obvious," Lian said, striking a stance, preparing to fight. "He's the one that stands out."
Selena's eyes widened immediately, and her lips parted slightly. She had never considered it.
"You can't be fucking serious..." She said gritting her teeth. "Garrion?!"
As she uttered the name, like he had been waiting for her to speak, Selena heard a loud energetic voice tearing through the air.
"Come on Darius! Show me more!"
The ground shook. A dust cloud exploded outward as trees were uprooted and hurled aside. From above, Darius came crashing down like a meteor. A second impact followed—revealing Garrion standing atop him, one arm pinning Darius to the dirt.
"It can't be..." Selena said in shock as the scene unfolded before her. "Darius is losing?"
Darius, a Grade 3 A Rank and the strongest fighter they had brought to the island, was being tossed around like a child’s toy. Lian’s words suddenly felt far more dangerous.
Her brows tightened, she raised her Katana swinging it downward without hesitation. It looked like a gentle motion, but the force it released was enough to send out a gust of wind in every direction.
It sent for a slashing wave of energy towards Garrion. It was faster than the eye could follow, even if one was capable of tracing the wind itself, they would still have issues with following Selena's attacks.
But to Garrion, it appeared like a normal wave of energy approaching him at a normal pace. He raised his hand to block it.
"Garrion!" Lian's voice rang out filled with panic. "Don't try to block it. Her ability is the power to cut through—"
Before she could complete her warning, the slash collided with Garrion's arm creating another dust cloud from the impact.
Selena wore a satisfactory smile but as the dust cloud faded, so did the smile. Garrion was standing there, still pinning Darius down with his left arm, and his right arm held upward with a mere scratch from blocking Selena's attack.
"Impossible!" Selena yelled in disbelief. "That's god damn impossible!"
"Selena... One of Aeroterra's greatest terror," Garrion's lips curved into a smirk as he shifted his gaze towards Selena. "So that's your ability... The power to cut through space itself."
