After acquiring my new cook as well as securing my army’s rations from the surplus of grown food from the gnolls, who were more than happy to provide, I had everything I needed to continue my expansion of my empire for world domination!
It only took a few days to get all the preparations done. From crafting new gear for me and my army to use, to gathering all willing soldiers, and informing those staying behind. I was ready for my Dominia Empire to make its proper debut!
Soon everyone will know of Vladimir!!!
But before that I wanted to do one last check up to fully understand the strength of my army. As confident as I am in my conquest, it would be foolish of me to go at this blindly. My experience with dealing with the Mivtic commander had taught me as much.
And I thought what better way to start off but to use [Game Screen] to give me detailed information on me and my henchmen’s strength as well as overall knowing the number of soldiers I had on hand with me.
I started off by seeing each of my henchmen’s status window. The first one would be my ever loyal if rather overly passionate Minotaur, Mordred!
From what I can tell it doesn’t seem like there hasn’t been much progress in his Attributes since I first met him. It must be a lot harder to rank up after B than. Still, he is immensely powerful even now. If I had to be honest, I don’t know if I could match him in a real fight even with all my progress up to now. I count myself lucky that the only thing stronger than those muscles was his devotion to me. Which is proven with his [Bloodthirsty Loyalty] already ranked up twice. In fact, It’s the only ability of his that has even made a rank up. Considering his strength, I guess there isn’t much to push any of them in the first place.
I have noticed that recently he has been relying less on his [Bloody Rage] and has been gettering better in holding back his aggression until I let them loose. I’m glad the lesson stuck with him, and he’s been a lot more helpful to me overall.
He always calls himself my weapon. Even if I would prefer he didn’t compare himself as only an object. After all, those of mine are much more valuable than that. I’m hoping to see how much he can show for in the future.
Then there’s V. A young goblin that holds so much potential.
…. What is this?! Since when has V’s [Attribute] explode this much?! I can see why their [Map] and [Search] ranked up as they’re both very useful for all kinds of situations but for their stats to grow this much could only mean they must have been training without me noticing. But when did it happen?
...Thinking back on it, it must have been Damian who could have done it.
He really is great at training; glad I had him in charge as a trainer. But why?
Why is he training V in the first place? They aren’t exactly built for combat, they’re too innocent to be at the forefront of battle. And what is with this mysterious [Skill] I’m unable to Inspect. Does this mean they’re gaining a new skill? So many questions….
I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Nothing I can do about it now… I just hope they won’t have to be in a situation where they need to fight directly. I doubt they could mentally handle the stress of combat…
And speaking of Damian…
Compared to Mordred, Damian has made some improvements with his [Attributes] though it can probably contribute with how difficult going past B must be. It’s like a stop gate for progress. Reminds me how much extra work I will need to push myself due to my own [Kobold Adaptability] slowing my progress.
I did notice there has been some progress on everything else, though there wasn’t any Rank Up with the closest one being [Unarmed Mastery]. Well with [Skills] and [Abilities] like that there’s probably little in need of improvement in the first place. I still don’t quite understand how [Game Screen]’s System works yet and how it handles the statistics. Especially since he has apparently a new ability underdevelopment that I’m unable to inspect. Hopefully it will prove to be useful for me soon.
I am concerned with a few things with Damian outside of his stats.
Lately, it seems like he’s been a whole lot more affectionate…. My body subconsciously shivered thinking of it. Before, it was usually only aimed at me and V. I’m still surprise that V enjoys the affection and I wish they would get more of it but for some reason he is fixated towards me.
But now my black bear has been spreading the love towards others. I still remember how much it freaked Mordred out. I’ll have to figure out how to resolve this issue soon or we’ll all be hugged to death…
Next came Zeph.
Not much progress on Zephyrus either. Then again, Zeph hasn’t done much in battle directly. Usually, I had him do more behind the scenes work that no one else would be able to handle. Still, there’s not much I can say to his combat abilities because of that.
Even more so on his personality. I still can’t quite figure out what this bird man is thinking half of the time as well as the fact he seems to pick up more about me than I would like to admit. And since he still is only a (Temp) Henchman, who knows how long he’s going to stay with us.
Until then, I’ll make sure to use his skills as much as I can. At least I’m able to act more casual with him since he seems to be the only one of my henchmen who doesn’t blindly praise me.
Now Paimoth was a real surprise addition.
Whoever thought I would have gotten a Demon like butler like that one particular story. From what I can gather from his overall status he seemed to be highly skilled in Mana. Enough so that he already showed some crazy feats with just his [Shadow Mastery] alone! I couldn’t wait to see what he could do with [Advanced Elemental Magic]!
Other than that, he’s already proving to be an effective butler. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought he was trained for this. It makes me more curious about his history a little and where he picked up such skills.
Oh well, he’s already proven to want to show his devotion to me at a level that even rival’s even Mordred’s, so I didn’t care too much.
Then there’s Vash.
Unfortunately, I hadn’t gotten much of a chance to properly know my new Golem’s combat prowess. From what I can see on his stats, he could really take a hit. With [Health] above even Mordred’s it was a good idea for me to have him defend the Mivtic kingdom. His two abilities looked rather interesting, and I’ll have to look it up in more detail when I meet up with Vash again.
There’s not much for me to say for Vash for now, but I couldn’t wait to see how things will go for him. He seems obedient enough at least, especially while my Mana is used to fuel his core. Now I just need to worry if the citizens in that kingdom will get used to him at least.
And last but not least was my new personal Chef, Jordan Hamsey.
Jordan is an interesting character. He seems surprisingly shy for both a Gnoll and a cook. But he definitely has the potential to make some amazing dishes, and I’m definitely going to cultivate his skills! ~
As for his combat skills, he seems to have a decent set as a gnoll though the [Wild Chef] ability seems intriguing. Based on the title alone I could see it to be useful for him to cook in even the wilds. Perfect for on the go freshly cook food. It’s possible if he gets good enough, he will be able to feed the entire army.
And that’s it for the summary for my main henchmen. For my minions, they’re still in the small size. All my human minions had opted to stay in their designated areas. I don’t blame them since the only ones who seemed excited to join in my conquest were my fellow monsters. I doubt they would all be excited to go to war. Best not to bring unwilling soldiers to the fight.
Phew, that was a lot of info to go through. I sat back on my shadowy throne provided by my moth butler as I finished going through the various menus. It was a ton of work, but it was something to pass the time while I waited for my soldiers to assemble.
Plus, now I have a good idea of some new equipment I could make for everyone. I was itching to experiment in some crafting with my [Material Forge] after all.
It’s time to make some upgrades! ~
