Chapter 22: Building a Hero-Tier Tribe!

  …

Back in the Tian Kuang Tribe.

  Tian had recovered his strength.

  Time to grow stronger.

Breeding with Moon had raised his level cap past a hundred, but he still needed experience to reach it.

He needed to level up fast.

Otherwise, the Sword Saint would kill him in one strike.

Tian equipped himself, took Eveleya by the hand, and prepared to head into the corrupted forest.

But he suddenly thought of something.

  “Moon, you’re coming too.”

The future would only grow more dangerous—Moon needed to survive.

She needed strength to protect herself.

Bringing her along to level up was the best option.

Still, leveling up slowly would take too long.

  “System, start Life Simulation.”

【Life Simulation System activating. Current scenario: Cultivating Third-Generation Goblins】

After raiding Bright Town and capturing a Hero-tier specimen, you achieved solid results.

But you’ve provoked the Sword Saint, the royal family, and even the massive Holy Church. You need to raise your level and strength fast.

You took Eveleya and Moon into the corrupted forest to level up.

In two weeks, you killed two corrupted wolf packs, seven ghost-faced monkey groups, and various Tier 1 and Tier 2 beasts. You reached Level 43.

Moon, however, reached Level 50—surpassing you.

Upon closer inspection, her passive talent “Wild Growth” seems to double experience gain.

You were thrilled. Even your loyal dog Eveleya reached Level 40.

Another two weeks passed in the corrupted forest.

Finally, you reached Level 50. Moon reached Level 60. Eveleya reached Level 45.

Choice 1: Return to the tribe and plan the next steps. You can’t stay out any longer. Score +0

Choice 2: Strength still isn’t enough. Keep leveling. Score +10

Choice 3: Level all the way to 100 and face the Sword Saint alone. Score +1000!】

Tian looked at the absurd choices and laughed helplessly.

Face the Sword Saint alone? Even at Level 100, it was impossible. Goblins were low-tier monsters with limited potential.

Unless he evolved into a higher variant—but even then, defeating her in single combat was unlikely.

  Strategy would triumph over strength.

Time had passed anyway. It was time to check on the third-generation goblins.

So, Choice 1: Return to the tribe.

Then interrupt the simulation and fast-forward one month.

【Summary: This corrupted forest no longer provides enough experience. Leveling has become too slow.

  “Shua!”

  Instantly, Tian’s mind reeled.

His vision flooded with white light. He felt suspended in another world—silent and empty.

From above, he watched everything that had happened flash by in rapid succession.

Finally, the scenes froze on the Tian Kuang Tribe.

Tian felt himself pulled back—and snapped awake.

“My beloved Master, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?”

Eveleya’s concerned voice came from beside him.

Tian opened his eyes and ignored her, checking his status panel first.

  Level 50, as expected.

  HP: 850

  Strength: 270

  Defense: 300

  Overall combat power: 900

  Not enough.

He’d leveled too quickly—his actual combat ability hadn’t caught up, hence the low rating.

No matter. His stats had improved. The rest could wait.

  Next, he checked Moon’s panel.

  【Moon: Lv60

  Race: Goblin

  Class: Divine Messenger

Titles: Female Goblin, Fallen Divinity, Pure Soul, Monster Slayer, Blessed by the Gods

  HP: 1000

  Strength: 270

  Defense: 390

Skills: Gene Devourer, Wild Growth, Climbing, Silent Step, Stone Skin…

Equipment: Simple Iron Armor, Simple Curved Blade

  Overall: 700】

Her stats had improved, but her overall rating was pitifully low.

She wasn’t a fighter, after all.

Having some self-defense ability was enough for her.

Eveleya didn’t matter. She was just a pet.

He hurried to check on the newborn third-generation goblins.

“Gob Tian, where are the new goblins? Why don’t I see any?”

  Tian asked sternly.

Gob Tian shrank back, lowering his head.

  “Boss… they’re with the elves.”

  Tian looked over.

Leah was cradling two goblin infants, nursing them. A third lay curled on the ground, barely breathing.

“You’re back... I don’t know why, but only these three survived. The rest were stillborn or died within hours.”

Leah’s voice carried deep sorrow, as if they were her own children.

Tian didn’t understand yet, but he offered comfort.

“I see. Thank you for your hard work, Leah.”

“Hahahaha! Disgusting goblins, thinking you can breed powerful offspring? Idiots!”

  Rodel sneered from the side.

His hair hung long and matted, his face covered in stubble. Bound to the rock, he looked utterly wretched.

But his mouth was as sharp as ever.

  Tian narrowed his eyes.

  “You seem to know why.”

  Rodel snorted coldly.

“The higher-tier the goblin, the harder it is for offspring to survive. Otherwise, with your breeding speed, goblins would’ve conquered the world long ago!”

“I see. You knew all along but kept quiet, letting my elves suffer needlessly.”

Tian’s expression grew colder and more terrifying.

He glanced at Gob Kuang and the others.

Rodel suddenly lifted his head, face twisted in defiance.

“Come on, you beasts! I’m not afraid! Do your worst!”

“Is that so? Then let’s try something new. You lot, come here.”

Tian beckoned a few goblins over and whispered in their ears.

The goblins looked reluctant and pitiful.

“Boss... that’s too much, even for us...”

  “Don’t want to? Then die.”

  Tian threatened.

They could all sense it—Tian had become stronger, darker, more terrifying.

Terrified, they obeyed and walked toward the bound Rodel. They untied him and dragged him into a hut.

Tian looked at Rodel with mock kindness.

  “Bye-bye. Enjoy yourself this time.”

“Goblin! You’re ruthless! Even as a ghost, I’ll haunt you forever!”

From inside the hut came Rodel’s trembling roars—fury mixed with despair.

At that moment, Leah’s sad voice rang out.

“Tian… another infant didn’t make it.”

Tian looked over. Sure enough, the curled-up goblin baby on the ground had stopped breathing.

But thankfully, the other two looked healthy.

Only two surviving infants per month—with potential for Hero-tier evolution, which would still take considerable time.

Even with a full year, he couldn’t produce enough Hero-tier goblins.

Not nearly enough to replace the current generation.

Only one option remained: evolve the current Greater variants into Hero-tier goblins.

And the wyvern he brought back would be the perfect catalyst.

“Line up, everyone! Today, Boss is letting you play with something rare!”

Tian walked over to the resting bipedal wyvern and stroked its smooth scales.

“Good girl. All this food is yours. Eat.”

With that, several goblins hauled over huge piles of wild boar, deer, and even magical beast carcasses.

The wyvern immediately began devouring them eagerly.

While she ate, Tian ordered the goblins to begin—no delays.

One day and one night later.

  The wyvern collapsed, panting heavily.

Tian was surprised she hadn’t resisted. Apparently all wyverns, not just the Amethyst Dragon Mother, were in breeding season.

They just had to satisfy the Dragon Mother first.

“You’ve been holding back for a long time, huh? Good girl—eat as much meat as you want.”

Tian said, signaling more food to be brought over.

The other goblins looked refreshed and excited.

It felt like dragon power was surging through them.

“Boss is the best! Mating with a dragon—this is legendary in goblin history!”

“Hahaha! I can feel it—I’m going to evolve!”

“Yeah! I feel like I’ll become huge soon!”

Tian ordered them into the corrupted forest to kill everything they encountered.

That was the fastest way to level up.

Evolve into Hero-tier goblins as quickly as possible.

  Today.

Rodel’s eyes had lost their defiant spark. Looking at Tian, he trembled with pure fear.

  This goblin was a monster!

  Too cunning—beyond anything human!

He was building an entire tribe of Hero-tier goblins!

  A single Hero-tier goblin could lead a mid-sized tribe.

  But a hundred?

That was enough to threaten an entire city.
