Digging myself out of the rather heavy dirt took a long, long time. This cave in was heavy, and deep. I was seriously embarrassed and annoyed at myself. I thought I had gotten better at this stuff.
I had reinforced the walls and ceilings with rock and wood that I had cut. The floors were cobbled, and the walls had posts every few meters. I thought it would have been enough, and it was, until now.
But from the way I was crushed and severely damaged by this GODS BE DAMNED CAVE IN, I had failed SOMEWHERE along the line.
When I finally emerged, I had to immediately head back to the tomb for proper maintenance. I had been damaged badly, and I needed proper maintenance before something broke right and proper.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Eventually, I returned to my mine, and started reinforcing as I got deeper. Thankfully, water was less of an issue, as I had it draining into a natural cave. So, with a cursory check on the cave, I went about the task of reinforcing the mine.
The higher levels didn't need much, but as I got deeper, I added more supports at the halfway point between the previous support pillers. This, I hoped, would stabilize any issues that might arise.
When I got to the caved in area, she began digging. I eventually got the room clear, and packed the walls. Then, I set up the pre-made pillers, and set them in the walls and middle of the room.
I redug my entrance into the bedrock layer, and cut up a block. It was solid, and it would do as a proper practice material.
I moved the block to a better location, and started chunking pieces off. First things first, I wanted a ball. It would be 6in by 6in by 6in. So, I got wo work, shaving bit by bit with my sword.
