Tilla and Moas
The shadow boat dipped, glided, and slid across the lava flows. Yana smiled; she actually loved riding the lava. Her senses seemed to become endless when exploring these areas. The ships continually recycled shadows, and the magic inlaid onto them continually drew shadows to it. Yana took advantage of this to practice, manipulating some shadows to help the ship and some for her own purposes. Both efforts worked to elevate her magics.
Yana looked up as Mag appeared next to her, her black flame flecked with more red than usual. 'I want to go into the lava with you, Mistress.'
Yana paused briefly. 'Okay. Are you ready?'
'Yes.'
Mag flared, and they both moved down toward the flowing lava. They floated side by side like leaves carried by a calm wind. DD sped by them, hitting the lava hard, arriving at the location before they would. Yana shook her head. He truly took being her bodyguard seriously.
'He is very strong, Mistress, but he is not needed this time. Lava is essentially liquid flame, so I can control it. I can call anything in the lava to me, but I can not do it from above—my flame is still too weak.'
Yana nodded. They would need to make a stop at the Shadow Flame Fields when they got to Sho.
They entered the lava. DD was waiting, and Mag drifted down a bit further and immediately went to work. DD looked to Yana questioningly. She shrugged.
'She says that she can bring them both to her by using the lava to carry them here.'
DD nodded in understanding and immediately began protecting the area. The first, and closest, Shadow Memory came to Mag quickly, and she directed it over to Yana without hesitation while continuing to draw the other.
Yana drew in the Shadow Memory shard and felt the second one closing in quickly. It was a great distance away and traveling through lava against the current, so Yana knew it would take some time.
They waited twenty minutes. The shaed was almost there, and Yana had finished absorbing the first when she and DD stiffened as one. They both sensed multiple life forms.
They exchanged knowing looks, then both smiled. Yana indicated with her eyes that DD should take the three coming from the ship; she would take the ones below. DD nodded. They moved apart quickly, Yana’s smile broadening.
She found the four. They were Fire Lizards, beastkin whose reptilian heads, torsos, and tails were covered in bright red and orange scales – not shadows. They moved through the lava flow like missiles. Yana knew their souls would greatly benefit Jasmine and Mag.
She isolated them with Spell Weave, weaving a subtle net of magic that encased them without them ever knowing it. As they moved closer, the Spell Weave slowly began cooling the lava surrounding them. It was so gradual they didn't understand what was happening until their movements became sluggish. She had their scales, their hearts, and their shadows without much fuss.
The system alert flashed before her eyes.

She returned to her previous position to see DD quietly waiting with three hearts of his own. They moved to her, and she gathered them all together. She gave two of the shadows to Jasmine and held two for Mag.
A few moments later, the second Shadow Memory arrived. Yana passed the shadows to Mag just as Mag sent over the Shadow Memory.
On the ship, Yana gave the hearts to Starlight and paused to give her the three artifacts for the church. There was a flash, and Starlight was gone.
Jasmine and Mag were absorbing their souls, and Yana was processing the Shadow Memory shards. After a short time, she got more alerts.

Yana called up the System.
Yana raised an eyebrow. She had expected the half-level increases in her magics, and Jasmine’s move to Adept was not a surprise. But she was surprised by Mag’s fire increase. It seemed awfully fast for an increase. She would ask Mag when they were done on Moas, and she would experiment with Shadow Light.

She nodded. Mag now had fire at an actual readable level. She felt excitement stir within her. She loved power and Mag was a powerful being.
Moas
Moas was similar to Zom, with vast land carved from lava rock, but its cities were both below and above ground, processing lava rock to build free-standing structures. Moas was a beautiful planet covered in obsidian and plants—mossy ground cover in greens, yellows, or reds, and massive trees and orchards of unique fruits.
Yana only sensed one shadow memory on the planet, and it was deeply embedded in obsidian. She wanted Moas to be a quick stop so they could move on to Orb and finish the church's mission. And she had to think about the tight timer on her shadow memories.
She stretched her senses outward, attempting to find a weakness in the obsidian surrounding the shade. She found none. The memory shadow was inside a small portion of obsidian that was wrapped by other obsidian. Yana simply used a surge of force to tear away the piece she needed. She placed it in her pocket dimension and smiled.
Simms was incandescent with rage, madder than he had been in a very long time. He had received seven hearts now—the only thing stopping him from losing control was the fact that each heart appeared within a brilliant, inexplicable flash of light. Yana was delivering the hearts with theatrical flair. He wanted the ability to summon objects, to teleport. He needed her alive.
He looked up at Ka. "Increase the bounty. I want her alive."
"Boss, you need to..."
"I SAID INCREASE THE BOUNTY!!! I WANT HER ALIVE!!!" He yelled so loudly the dishes rattled. Ka nodded once, the Wao shadow silently retreating to execute the insane order.
