The People’s Supreme Order of Aldira (PSOA), commonly known as Aldira, the Order, or the Aldiran Order, was a state-like military and religious order in Northeast Asia that existed from early 1970 until late 1994.
After the global catastrophe of 1968, the human population fell below one billion, and chaos became the dominant condition of human life. Most states collapsed after violent conflicts and civil wars. Those that survived saw their authority weaken, with many regions falling into the hands of separatists, which resulted in the creation of many quasi-state polities. Under these circumstances, Aldira was established in Manchuria as a tightly centralized and hierarchical power, opposing the federalization and decentralization that had become the prevailing global tendency amid the decline of absolute authority.
Throughout its existence, Aldira was distinguished by its extreme secrecy, unique theocratic structure, rigid intellectual doctrine, and formidable military power. Its perceived xenophobia and shared characteristics with totalitarianism led to international sanctions, condemnations, and exclusion from global organizations. Publicly, isolationism defined the Order’s foreign policy; covertly, Aldira was highly—but selectively—interventionist: organizing raids, sabotaging trade routes, building spy networks, disseminating ideological texts, threatening rival states, and ultimately becoming a feared belligerent.

Aldira’s relations with the international community remained consistently strained. Its principal rivals included China, Japan, and the Federated States. The Order granted asylum to Arnold, who later directed a clandestine biological weapons program; propagandized Iliya’s diary, turning her into a sanctified icon; cultivated a close relationship with the Soviet cosmonaut Orelya, who involuntarily became an intellectual symbol of the New Humanity; and ultimately engineered the brain parasite Nova to control the minds of the masses—a creation that, in the end, seized the world.
In the spring of 1994, Aldira became the target of an international coalition whose forces advanced as far as Ordostok through a joint offensive. By late that year, the conflict had reached a total stalemate. During the winter of 1994, over ninety percent of the Order’s elite participated in a mass suicide ritual. Thousands of its leaders ended their lives in a single night through a ceremony conducted in Undulon Square. In the aftermath, Aldira was left headless. Eventually, coalition forces captured Ordostok, committed genocide against the Aldiran population, and dismantled the last remnants of the Aldiran Order.
