Dear Dad,
This place is honestly kinda amazing. We’re just finding more and more people who do cool stuff, and I wish I could show you half the fantastic things we’re seeing.
Thond, this guy who’s been breeding butterflies for, like, ever, and by now, they're all colors of the rainbow, and they gently fly in whatever order he wants them to. He’s made paintings out of butterflies that only live for a couple days. That’s insane. He has to replace his entire living butterfly stock every few days. We could only stay for so long, but he let the butterflies guide us closer to the right direction. At least, we hope it is the right direction. We’re going to assume it is.
Willow stumbled on a moleman, literally, who’s trying to tunnel through the entirety of the valley and was coming up to grab a snack. His name's Braxtal, and he thinks that if he goes far enough below the valley, he’ll find some really cool stuff, but I think it’s just an excuse for the man to dig and dig a lot.
We found Lilandra after our encounter with moleman Braxtal. She's a nice lady with a nice large house, but I couldn’t look at her cause she wasn’t wearing clothes, and the only thing she was wearing was beads and stuff to cover up herself. Lilandra said that she was the priestess of this place and that we were welcome to stay in her home as long as we needed to, as long as we woke with her at dawn to prey. We agreed cause there wasn’t really a reason not to. It wouldn’t hurt us after all.
So we’re staying in her nice house, which is well-decorated. I recognized one of the little robots that Jeron makes that was saw the day before yesterday. So he’s apparently been here before, and there’s a little butterfly preserved somehow, too. I think they were both presents, but I’m not sure what.
None of the other places had things from the other creators, so maybe it’s where we are?
Maybe they got bored and went for a walk. I mean, it wasn’t terribly far from there to here.
Reese and Zunair were more than happy to help Lilandra around the house and in her garden, not that she really needed the help. Everything was blooming perfectly, and plenty of fruits, veggies, and stuff were growing on every vine. I think they just wanted to be near her without an excuse.
Willow and Riley took the chance to relax a bit. We haven’t been doing that much, but why would you want to avoid it in a place like this? Sure, there are some more creative things we could be doing, but at this point, it’s just us vs. whatever we’re going up against next, so maybe relaxing and getting some extra rest will help. And the lady doesn’t have to worry about any of her plants or anything for the next little bit.

I wandered around Lilandra's house a bit. She’s got a lot of books, some interesting, some boring, some that I couldn’t read and so couldn’t pass judgment on.
I think there’s a lot more to be done here than we realize, but we could spend a lot of time here doing nothing. Or spend a lot of time here doing anything, like Jeron the scientist, Thond the butterfly trainer, and Braxtal the crazy man in the dirt making lots and lots of tunnels.
I think we’re going to keep moving onward tomorrow, though Lilandra told us we could stay as long as we wanted.
She didn’t have a lot of answers to my questions, though. Apparently, it’s less common for schools to happen places than here, but she said we’re about in the middle of the valley, which means that, hopefully, we’ll be leaving soon. I’d really like to get home, even if this place is super nice and full of weird but very nice people.
Grace took to exploring the entire outside around the house, the little woods included, and all that came with it. She said there weren’t a lot of birds or anything else and that she didn’t see any animals, which she thought was weird if this place had so much abundant food for people to eat. I asked what she thought it was, and she didn’t have an answer.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think as long as we’re not getting poisoned and no one’s getting hurt, maybe it’s okay if there aren’t any animals all over the place? And no bugs means no birds, which makes sense to me. I don’t know why there aren’t other animals out there, too, but maybe it’s just something to think about.
Lilandra says it’s the world of the gods, this place, a safe haven for anyone who needs it, never thought anything. I think it’s just weird and nice.
Reese and Zunair thought it was interesting enough to be heaven. I think they were just trying to pull Riley’s chain, though. Reese asked the lady all kinds of questions about being a priest here. I don’t think he wants to join a priesthood, though. I think he’s just curious about what kind of religion has a woman dancing around nearly naked all day.
Willow was very interested, too. I think she’s planning on joining, though also for all the naked lady perks.
We didn’t stay up as late tonight. Lilandra helped us learn more about the different plants and what they paired with. What could be good in a smoothie together? She didn’t know what a smoothie was, but she thought it was a marvelous idea and planned to tell the mad scientist about it the next time she saw him, which she hoped would be soon.
After dinner, we stargazed for a little while while the lady told us some stories about the stars and the gods and a lot of the things in between. It was neat to hear these stories. She said them so surely. They had to be real to her, even if we’ve never heard anything like it.
I did my best to doodle some of the plants, but I think they’re going to be pretty illegible even with my help. But I miss sitting with you and going over the things I learned. Hopefully, I get home soon, so we can do that again.
Miss you lots, Love, Jack
