Head tilted back. Mouth slightly open. One arm draped over his desk like gravity had given up on him halfway through.
Plum sat two rows over, staring.
She didn't even realize she was doing it at first.
Her eyes traced the slow rise and fall of his chest. The way his afro stood shine and still. The calmness of him, too calm for someone living on Dragon Hive.
Einstera leaned closer, voice low.
"...Plum, you seem to be really into sleeper Boy."
Plum blinked. "Huh?"
Einstera's sharp eyes narrowed slightly. She said to herself.
Just the other day Plum was a skeleton and now she's returned to her normal self, no based on her scarlet hair she's even stronger, did sleeper boy do this?
Xiu "I don't get what's so special about someone who sleeps all day."
Plum shot her a glare. "Knock it off Xiu., Jelousy isn't fitting for an Amazon."
Xiu stuck her tongue out.
Einstera."You look... healthier, and you're even dating sleeperboy, which was unexpected, is he feeding you something?"
Plum opened her mouth to respond, then hesitated.
"Something like that" she twirled her finger through her hair.
Einstera stared at her with curiosity.
She followed Plum's gaze to Burajiru.
Fast asleep.
Roxer's loud voice cut through the room. "Guess babe finally realized how awesome I am, and that awesomeness fed your soul."
Jaja threw an arm around him. "Took her long enough, big bro!"
Plum gagged audibly.
Xiu, however, blushed. "I-I mean... he is awesome."
Plum turned away, covering her mouth. "...I'm going to barf, there is no way you really think your existence has awakened my inner kitty, it's laughable."
Roxer shifted his anger towards Burajiru sleeping, growled. He said to himself.
What's up with this guy, did he do something to make Plum turn into a hottie again, no way his abis gotta be nothing more than 200.
After school, the rooftop was quiet.
Wind moved lazily across the concrete. The city stretched endlessly below.
Burajiru sat near the edge, knees pulled up, chin resting on one hand.

Plum stepped through the rooftop door and stopped.
They stood there for a second, facing each other.
"...So," Burajiru said, squinting. "Am I really the thing standing between you living or dying?"
Plum nodded. "...Yeah. Basically but don't say thing babe it makes you sound like an object."
She took a breath.
"My Scytherian scythe doesn't eat normal food. It hasn't in years. It has a... very particular appetite."
She looked him straight in the eyes.
"And for some reason, it likes you."
Burajiru blinked.
"...Huh."
He tilted his head, really looking at her now. "You know... you look different even from back then, your hair is red now."
Plum's eye twitched.
"That's because I am a red Moon scythe user" he continued, thoughtful, "Every scytherian has a main Abi source, mines is red moon so my hair will turn red when I have a scytherian awakening."
Burajiru "One minute your an old lady and next your a Baddie, crazy glow up."
Her face exploded into an exaggerated anime rage.
"EXCUSE ME?!"
He held up a hand. "Just an observation."
She placed her hands on her hips, her hair darkened and flared up. "If you're going to insult me, at least be creative."
She drifted her eyes away "But I will accept your Baddie complimet."
He folded his arms too, then, without meaning to, his eyes drifted to her curves.
He said to himself
Wow.
She's...Thick....
Heat rushed to his face.
He turned away immediately. "Yeah. Whatever."
Plum stepped closer.
"Then... may I?"
Before he could respond, she leaned in.
Her lips brushed his neck. She bit into his neck like a vampire but it didn't hurt, it felt warm.
He froze.
"W-Wait.."
A sharp, warm pull.
Abi flowed out of him like breath leaving lungs he didn't know he was holding.
Plum's body relaxed instantly.
Her shoulders dropped. Her eyes softened.
She pulled back, wiping her mouth.
"...Ah. That was delicious."
Burajiru stared into her eyes.
"What... does Abi even taste like?"
She tilted her head, thinking. "Hard to explain. Sweet. Familiar."
He swallowed. "...Guess I'm sweet."
She smiled.
Then jumped back lightly.
"I'll need your help."
"With what?"
"It's top secret." She paused. "But since you're my food source... I should tell you."
She stepped closer again.
"I am the strongest amongst the honor students."
He squinted. "Who are all the honor students, I know most are a bunch of stuck-up genius brats, at least that's what I heard"
She laughed. "Just the men."
She counted on her fingers.
"Einstera — Morpher."
"Xiu — Amazon."
"Roxer — Himarion."
"Jaja — Herculean."
"Yusuke — Gamer."
"And me... Scytherian, it is our job to kill parasites."
Burajiru slid down the wall, sitting.
"..."
She blushed.
He sighed. "That explains why your were at the school that night, so you need me to help kill monsters."
She leaned forward. "I'd love your help... my love."
His eyes widened.
My love? She keeps saying that and I don't why but it sounds comforting
Something warm twisted in his chest.
What is this feeling...?
"I..." He looked away fast. "I'm just chilling, bro."
She laughed. "Are you blushing?"
"...No, im just........thinking about something."
"You're totally blushing."
Elsewhere, gunfire ripped through the streets.
Bullets slammed into parasite flesh, ineffective.
Mira fired again, her Abi-charged rounds tearing chunks free.
"Stop talking, Ulice!" she shouted. "Focus!"
Arelll barked orders. "Pull back! Evacuation status!"
"All civilians clear!"
The parasite roared, and footsteps echoed.
Yusuke walked forward calmly.
Ulice whispered, "That's... that's Yusuke."
"The strongest honor student," Mari breathed.
Yusuke looked at the parasite.
"Who is your leader?"
It roared and lunged.
Yusuke vanished.
A single palm strike.
"Bit Breaker."
The parasite pixelated, and shattered.
Silence.
The soldiers stared.
Arell exhaled.
"...So this is an honor student."
The war had begun.
