It chuckled.
"Parasite want to eat Scytherian."
Burajiru stepped closer to Plum, placing himself between her and the thing.
He didn't raise his voice.
"Hey," he said. "Scytherian... do you trust me?"
Plum swallowed, blood on her sleeve, heart pounding. She reached her hand out. A wave of Green Abi pushed the parasite several feet backwards."
"I don't think I have a choice," she snapped. "So you better tell me you've got some secret power that saves us. Otherwise we are both parasite meat."
Burajiru dropped to one knee.
Plum blinked.
"...What the hell are you doing?" she hissed. "There's a parasite right in front of us."
"Give me your hand."
Her face burned.
"This is not the time for whatever this is," she said, flustered. "Get up you fool!"
Burajiru "Please."
She looked into his eyes.
And froze.
There was something there.
Something vast. Quiet. Holy, in a way that didn't belong.
Slowly... she placed her hand in his.
Burajiru whispered one word.
"Imagine."
The air snapped.
Plum's scythe materialized instantly in her grasp, no summoning delay, no resistance. It bit the air, a low chewing sound echoing down the hall.
Plum gasped. "What... what is this power?!"
Her body changed.
Teeth sharpened.
Bones reinforced.
Two massive grizzly-bear ears burst from her hair as white and red streaked through it like flame.
Burajiru's gaze met plum with absolute amazement "Woah ,she's so cool, cooler than anything Iv'e seen."
She moved.
Too fast.
The parasite screamed as its limbs were severed mid-adaptation. It tried to retaliate.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Plum cut it cleanly in half.
Silence fell. Th eparasite wa s no more.
She turned,
Burajiru was already walking away.
Calm. Casual. Like nothing had happened.
Plum stared after him, breath shaking.
Burajiru waved.
Outside, in the schoolyard, Yusuke stood amid cracked concrete and fading Abi residue.
"I figured you didn't need help, how is Plum" he said.
Burajiru shrugged. "She's much better."
Then, quieter: "Mind not telling anyone about me being here?"
Yusuke raised a brow.
"You could take the credit," Burajiru added. "If people find out about my art it'll be a drag."
Yusuke exhaled. "They might not believe I fought two parasites."
Burajiru waved him off. "You don't even believe that."
The next morning, the school was... whole.
Walls restored. Floors intact.
Yusuke stared.
"...Impossible," he muttered. "Did he do this?"
Students whispered.
Jusuke was missing.
Plum sat quietly at her desk, mind spinning. Her hair, white fell over her shoulders.
Xiu leaned in. "Whoa. New hairstyle? Looks amazing."
Einstera squinted. "That's not dye... was that always your natural color?"
Plum blinked. "I... don't know."
Xiu sniffed the air. "Wait. Your stomach's not growling."
She grinned. "Does that mean your scythe finally ate something for once?"
Plum's eyes drifted to the back of the room.
Burajiru slept.
Later, Burajiru walked home. Kyra padded beside him.
"I just want to sleep," he muttered.
At home, he collapsed onto the couch.
A knock.
He sprang to life "Did I deliver something?"
He opened the door.
A woman stood there with a smile.
Burajiru said to himself
Why is there a beautiful woman standing outside my door smiling. She's short and thick too. That is an Afro mans favorite choice.......wait....nothing good can come out of this.
Burajiru "NO"
Burajiru slammed the door.
KNOCK KNOCK!
Burajiru opened the door
She whispered something.
Burajiru "Go away lady." Burajiru shut the door.
"Time to sleep," he mumbled.
The knocking resumed.
Harder.
He opened the door again, irritated. "What do you want?"
The woman was Plum stepped past him.
"Feed me."
"...Feed you?"
She sat on his couch like she owned it.
"My scythe and I have been starving for years," she said calmly. "When you fed me your Abi... it was delicious."
She gripped her tummy sueezin it.
"For the first time in my life, it isn't growling. My instincts aren't screaming. I can see. Hear. Taste, and if you haven't noticed my curves have returned to me."
Burajir "No way, your the skeleton lady from last night?"
She looked at him.
"Afro man... you have saved my life and awakened my Scytherian power. Something that would have taken a century."
Burajiru looked into her eyes, and he couldn't help the fascination that pulled at him. Her orange eyes didn't just shine, they glowed, warm and unreal, like lanterns lit deep behind glass.
And the moment that light touched him, something inside Burajiru clicked.
His breath caught. His body went still.
The red in his eyes flared awake, brighter, sharper, like her gaze had flipped a switch in his soul. The Imagi Eyes activated.
Burajiru said to himself.
This is not imagination those are her real eyes, orange.
She stood, scythe appearing in her hand.
"For that, I am indebted to you."
Her eyes sharpened.
"And you... are indebted to me."
Burajiru sighed. "Listen, you don't owe me anything. Chill. If you're hungry, go to Naruto's down the block, the ramen there is pretty good."
She pointed the scythe at his chest.
"You're not listening."
Her voice dropped.
"You are my soulmate."
Burajiru blinked.
"...Huh?"
"You will surrender your heart to me."
Silence.
Kyra meowed.
