Fenix gnced around the room, his eyes darting to the different patches of herbs dotting the emerald grass. He carefully collected each one, their faint glow illuminating his hands. As he put the st herb in his inventory, he returned to ChibiScker, who was standing near the door leading to the next room.
"Ready?" Fenix asked with a determined glint in his eyes.
"Always," ChibiScker replied with a grin.
They pushed open the heavy door, stepping into the second room. It mirrored the first in its lush greenery, but this time, five identical water fountains were randomly pced around the room instead of statues. Each fountain was carved from smooth stone, with crystal-clear water bubbling gently from the sides. As they entered, a notification fshed before their eyes:
[System: You have entered Krimplot Dungeon room 2 out of 5!]
“Looks like we’re in for another puzzle,” Fenix said, scanning the room warily.
“Yeah, but at least there are no statues that will try to kill us this time,” ChibiScker replied, his voice tinged with relief.
Fenix gnced at ChibiScker and smirked. "Who says there won't be something else?"
“This isn’t a Ring scenario, is it?” ChibiScker asked, his eyes widening with fear. “Because if it is, I’m out.”
Fenix chuckled. It seemed ChibiScker was a cssic horror fan. Who else would watch such an old movie? Well, except for him.
"The Ring has a well; these are fountains," Fenix said reassuringly.
"If you say so," ChibiScker said, though he still looked uneasy. Suddenly, he pointed to the wall. "Look over there! I see a pque!"
Fenix quickly walked over to the wall and read the inscription aloud: “In this chamber, your fate hangs by a thread. Five fountains stand before you, each promising reward or dread. Four will bring you to ruin, their contents foul and vile, but one holds the Potion of Luck, which will grant you safe passage through this trial. Choose with care, for only the wise will unveil the truth and continue on their quest.”
He turned his gaze to the five fountains, each bubbling with crystal-clear water. “Alright, let’s figure this out. They all look the same, so finding the right one will be tricky.”
ChibiScker watched as Fenix examined each fountain closely. “I’m not very good at riddles, but I have some intuition. I think we should check the fountains because they might have a clue on them.”
“Good idea,” Fenix agreed, inspecting each fountain. They appeared identical, but then he spotted a faint engraving of a four-leaf clover at the base of the st one.
“This one,” Fenix said confidently, pointing it out to ChibiScker.
“Are you sure?” ChibiScker asked, peering at the tiny clover mark.
“Positive. The four-leaf clover is the key ingredient in the Potion of Luck,” Fenix replied. He took a deep breath and filled his hand with the liquid from the chosen fountain. “Here goes nothing.”
He took a cautious sip and felt a rush of warmth. A notification appeared:
[System: You have completed room 2 out of 5! You may enter the next room at any time!]
Fenix let out a relieved ugh. “We did it!”
ChibiScker’s face lit up. “That’s awesome! I’ve heard about this potion—it turns into a special item after three days in-game, and it's always a rare item!”
He turned to his camera, excitement evident in his voice. “Guys, you won’t believe it! We just got to drink from a fountain that contains the Potion of Luck! Isn't that awesome?"
Fenix smiled. “Let’s keep going. We’ve got three more rooms to clear.”
They moved towards the exit, ready for whatever the next room in the Krimplot Dungeon had in store for them.
As the door swung open, Fenix and ChibiScker stepped into the third room of the Krimplot Dungeon. The stark difference from the previous ones hit them immediately. Thick, twisting vines snaked up the walls, their green tendrils were adorned with shiny pods that glinted in the dim light.
Upon closer inspection, Fenix’s eyes widened—these weren’t mere pods but baby carnivorous pnts, their jagged metal teeth gleaming ominously. In the center of the room loomed the mother pnt, a menacing giant among its offspring.
“Oh, man!” ChibiScker said, his eyes widening as he unsheathed his weapons.
That quite summed up Fenix’s feelings about this situation, so he also brought out his trusty giant cutlery, just in case. 'I’m not about to become pnt food today,' he thought. 'If anything, these pnts will be the ones getting eaten.'
Scanning the room, ChibiScker frowned. “I don’t see a riddle anywhere. Are we supposed to fight that thing?”
“Hold on,” Fenix said, his eyes darting around the room. But it was just as ChibiScker said there were no pques, but then, again, nobody cimed that all the tests would be riddles. He carefully examined the room, and then he spotted it. “Look.”
“Look at what?” ChibiScker asked, his eyes still locked on the looming mother pnt.
“Over there, behind the mother pnt,” Fenix pointed out.
ChibiScker followed his gaze. Nestled behind the massive carnivorous pnt was a baby, noticeably weaker and sicker than the rest. Its health bar was nearly depleted, a clear sign of its weakened state. Understanding dawned on ChibiScker. “So, we need to save the baby?”
“That’s right,” Fenix confirmed. “But the mother isn’t going to let us get close without a fight.”
“Then what’s the pn?” ChibiScker asked, his grip tightening on his swords.
Fenix considered their options. “If this is a healing test, attacking the mother could cause us to fail. I need you to distract her while I take care of the baby.”
“Alright, let’s do it. Time to show off my evasion skills,” ChibiScker said, flipping his swords to the blunt side.
Without hesitation, ChibiScker charged at the mother pnt, drawing its aggro. The enormous pnt reared up on its roots, its sharp, metallic teeth ccking as it pursued him. ChibiScker dodged and weaved with practiced agility, his movements a blur of precision. Fenix watched, impressed by ChibiScker’s growth.
Not wanting to waste time, Fenix edged toward the ailing baby pnt, moving stealthily to avoid drawing the mother’s attention.
He reached the baby pnt, but as soon as it sensed his presence, it emitted a piercing cry. The mother, alerted by the sound, whirled around and charged towards Fenix.
In a spectacur dispy of acrobatics, ChibiScker vaulted over the massive pnt, executing a series of somersaults in mid-air before nding between the mother and the baby.
“Hurry up and do what you have to do!" ChibiScker shouted, struggling to keep the mother at bay. “She’s about to go berserk!”
Fenix wasted no time. He fished a health potion from his inventory and poured it over the baby pnt. A soft glow enveloped the pnt and its health began to quickly restore until it looked the same as its siblings. The baby started to let out happy sounds and the mother pnt, seeing that her baby was well again, calmed down from its aggressive state.
ChibiScker backed away, his bde still at the ready but his posture rexed. Fenix also stepped back, showing that they had peaceful intentions. The mother pnt approached her revived baby, inspecting it with tender care. Satisfied with its recovery, she pced the baby gently against the wall with the other before returning to the center of the room, following her offspring into dormancy.
Once all the pnts were dormant, the vines retracted, revealing a door.
A notification chimed, indicating their success:
[System: You have completed room 3 out of 5! You may enter the next room at any time!]
"OMG, THAT WAS SO AWESOME! And I was awesome!" ChibiScker excimed, his face alight with excitement.
Fenix smiled at ChibiScker’s enthusiasm. “I have to admit, you were awesome.”
“I know, right?” ChibiScker beamed. “Let’s move to the next room.”
As ChibiScker strutted confidently towards the next room, Fenix followed with a shake of his head, wondering what the next room would be like. If it was anything like this one, he knew it would be interesting, to say the least.
