Chapter 87: The Disciplinary Comite

The MPI, the place was...not calm; Elizabeth had thought it would be calm with all the third-year students going on their apprenticeships, the second year going to the internships and all. But instead what she found was a school bustling with activity with students going all over the place running, flying and some even teleporting (Or attempting to anyway).

"Ah sorry, miss!" A girl with purple hair that had a weird color gradient into yellow crashed into Elizabeth; the girl was wearing what looked like Victorian-era clothes, too.

"It's okay," Elizabeth said as she helped the girl stand up on her own, even while the girl had crashed into Elizabeth. Elizabeth had barely felt it, with her stats it was nearly impossible for a normal human to make her move.

More so for a girl who barely looked like she had gotten into classes.

"Obviously, it was a mistake. But even so, a Lady must apologize even if it wasn't her fault." The other girl said haughtily; Elizabeth took this chance to take stock of who she had bumped with.

The girl sounded like she was more prideful than her, and that was worrying since Elizabeth had awakened The Gem of Pride after all.

"...right.." Elizabeth said, the other girl was...pitiful, she barely had the same amount of chest as Rossie, and unlike Rossie, she didn't look dangerous(ly cute).

Also one of her eyes was purple while the other was blue.

"Well, if that was all I have work to do." And like that the other girl left, no apologies (Honest one) or even presentation of who she was. She merely left like nothing.

"Well, that was rude." Elizabeth said shaking her head and resuming her walk through the campus.

Most of what she was seeing was stuff that she had hoped to do while in class, instead of what had happened to her, her first year she had ended up in a terrible accident that had brought for the [Advent].

That made her miss most of her second year, and what little she managed to have, she spent it away from school training for the finals...

And now that she was on her third year, she was going to spend most if not all of it away, depending in how this went. As far as she had found at least, it seemed as if there wasn't much to do on her third year on the school.

Most of what they were going to do had to do with optimizing their skill builds to make sure they were doing the best they could. And now that Elizabeth had lost most, if not all, her skills. Then there was nothing that she could learn here.

And she would end with many questions directed at her, actually...she may be in some danger if there was a fight coming her way, she had discarded almost all of her skills after all. She still had some of course, mostly things that she couldn't do without.

Lately she had been fighting mostly with pure manipulation skills, some spells sprinkled here and there, and if worst came to worst, she had her armory and her crowns. Both of them.

So even while that she was still...

"Excuse me miss?" A new student popped up, this one had a full black hair, that was a new one, usually these weren't as common as one would think. At least not in a setting like the one Elizabeth was in.

Black Hair was usually tied to the [Tainted] or, well, now the Shadow users.

"I'll need to see some identification, you are currently way outside the visitation building," The student said, he looked to be probably a first grader.

The question was, why was he asking her as if she was a visitor?

Granted, she wasn't wearing her uniform at the moment, but even so, surely he...Oh, right, she was trying that new method that Lily had taught them, so currently, her mana emissions were probably close to none, right?

"Here," Elizabeth said smiling, she pulled out her student ID from thin air, the student didn't seem surprised by that.

"Miss, even if you forged a student ID there is no way a civilian would be accepted, even with the [System] giving a boost to most civilians beyond what they usually would have." The student sighed at Elizabeth, a very tired sigh, "Please don't make me restrain you."

  Oho?

Elizabeth could almost hear Rossie's frustrated profanities and Rena's amused smirk.

"Please do so," Elizabeth said, smirking, "I'm going to speak with Evangeline, so I assume you are a student council member?"

"Miss...If you were a student you would know that," The student sighed pointing at a badge on his chest, "I am part of the student enforcers under Discipline comite, I'll cast a restraining spell. Please do not resist, you will hurt yourself."

And Immediately afterward, Elizabeth saw a magic circle form atop one of his hands and pointed at her; the spell manifested afterward in the form of a butterfly that landed on Elizabeth's hand.

"Hmm....[Restraint], [Weakness] and...A [Stun] tied to a [Conditional] spell node?" Elizabeth said, eyeing the spell, "That's a fancy compound spell, so you were a mage and not a [Hero] candidate?"

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"...So you studied before coming; even so, you can't deceive a mana sensor; you are at best at 5 points on INT and WIS." The disciplinary member said, "I'll bring a female member to escort you, please try to not move. I don't want to write another file for a wounded civilian."

"Sure, but only the 'Not writing another file' thing," Elizabeth said excerting some strength on her hands, it barely needed a budge before the spell broke, "You may need to add some extra oomph into it, perhaps something like: [Bind] + [Restraint] + [Mana] + [Amp] + [Merge] + [Stun] = Bad boys don't eat dinner."

Elizabeth weaved the spell nodes, writing the magic circles in the air, just like how Rossie had done, only her writing was both faster and more refined. The spell wove together and fused into a modified [Stun Person] version.

Only hers had more complicated make and it would probably require at least a B-Tier Magical Girl or Magical Guardian to come and dispel, perhaps a B-Tier Hero could too? Elizabeth wasn't too sure about what they had on their skill list these days.

"Don't think too badly on me for that, you didn't listen after all." Elizabeth said summoning her shadows to pull towards her her Student ID, "Also, you should have a way to verify if these things are legit or not, maybe next time check on that?"

Elizabeth smirked as the student tried to move but her spell remained stalward stopping him from moving, she could even see his mana core spinning trying to cast some type of spell, obviously since her spell also bound his mana, that was impossible.

Perhaps he could use his skills? If his mana even could move.

"Oh, by the way, I am sure you saw it on the ID. But I'm Elizabeth Starbright, a third-year student here... So yeah, sorry about the mana thing. But I am testing something one of the [Heroes] under which I am with the apprenticeship thing is teaching me, so my mana is kind of invisible right now?" Elizabeth wasn't sure how to explain what she was doing, not like he could understand right now...actually was he even awake? "I'll go to speak with Evangeline now, I think your boss was there too? I'll ask him if you got released or not, but for now stay there."

And so Elizabeth started walking once again, this time however, she attempted to manipulate how much mana her dantians released. She tweaked the feeling till she was able to regulate how much aura was released to the outside.

Just above what she was feeling from the other students, so that meant that she should look like a D-Tier? Perhaps an E-Tier? Elizabeth wasn't quite sure; she would continue tweaking that as she was going, she did want to make it look like she was still a C-Tier. Since that was how they thought of her before leaving at the end of second grade.

She needed them to think of her as someone weak, that way she could get away with most of her plans, and then release all her power and scare them.

That would be fun, but for now she had more important issues to deal with. Like finding the student council building, last time she had been guided there by Selen after all. And she hadn't been paying too much attention since she was busy panicking about what was happening.

Also, her brain was that of a bimbo at the moment, so at the time, her brain didn't have many thoughts. Or more like, there were no thoughts only bimboness there. Perhaps some bread?

Even so, Elizabeth carried on. Watching the young, impressionable minds of the new students marvel at the wonders of magic. All the while walking around searching for a way to

"Excuse me, did you see an old lady that looked like a civilian come by?" A female student came to stop her, she was also wearing the full uniform, "I would give you a warning for not wearing your uniform but we are searching for a possible Villain spy."

Elizabeth measured the girl that had stopped her, she was...kind of cute, but not too much, she had a black hair that was just above her shoulders, she would look cuter with longer hair, she also had blue eyes, and that was a weird thing that Elizabeth couldn't get used to, most of the shadow users she had meet lately had the same blue eyes.

Not as pure as hers, but blue nonetheless.

  "No?" Elizabeth answered, "What happened?"

Was a spy around? Elizabeth didn't want to deal with side quests at the moment.

"One of our members got frozen by some weird skill, his latest report was that he had found a woman that looked like a civilian walking around, he didn't gave description and only said she looked older enough to not be a student." The girl answered looking around, "We found him frozen a minute ago when I went to pick the women, they are attempting to unseal him, if you see any suspicious activity report it to the ticket system."

...Wasn't that report about her? She didn't look that old.

That one had bad eyesight, confirmed.

"Oh right, I need some help." Elizabeth said, grabbing the girl by the arm before she was able to leave, "Can you point me in the direction towards the student council?"

"....It's on the sub building, that way." The girl said trying to release herself from Elizabeth's hand, "Also don't stop a disciplinary member while on the job, that is a good way to get warnings on your file. If I didn't have to deal with this, then I would be filing a warning."

And in that tone the girl used a skill to attempt and release herself from Elizabeth's hand, the feeling she got was of space, so perhaps a blink? Either way, Elizabeth released her hold over the girl and allowed her to teleport away.

She didn't want to make more issues to the poor girl, what she did make sure, was to send some extra mana to the spell node that she had made for the restraint on the other student, she didn't feel like leaving him free before dinner time.

Saying that Elizabeth was old? Rude.

She was on her prime, if anything she should look younger than she was! And they reported her as an [Adult Woman]?

  Rude!

She was young! Granted, she was about to be eighteen, so technically, she would be an adult woman...But that was in like five months!

Oh god, in five months, she would be of age...her V-Card was going to be lost in five months...

"Focus Elizabeth, focus..." Elizabeth decided to not think too much about that, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, then opened her eyes slowly and started walking in the direction she had been guided to.

For now, she needed to continue tweaking her dantian to make sure she was giving the right mana signature, or well, the right amount of mana density. She had never had to worry about that since most of her skills dealt with that. But since her skills now were gone and she was going the work manually...

Yeah, her info sec skils were more sturdy now, so that was something. But giving the mana sign of being a C grade and having the mana density of a civilian...yeah, that was obviously something that didn't happen.

It would be like screaming 'Hey, I'm hidding my real status'. Something that Elizabeth didn't want to do at the moment, she wanted to look as normal as possible.

Something that was hard to achieve when one was as gorgeous, talented and powerful as Elizabeth, and that was leaving aside how humble she was.

But that was for later to worry about, for now Elizabeth focused on her upper dantian, the one that was housed on her head...in a place that she decided didn't want to think about, having a marble stuck in your brain should cause several issues, but somehow the one she had didn't seem to cause such problems.

Was the Dantian made up of intangible stuff? She sure as hell hoped so, either way she focused on the stupid sphere and made sure to release enough mana to support her middle dantian.

This way, between the two, she would give just barely enough mana to her mana aura so that she would look like a C-Tier. And that was just in time as Elizabeth was nearing the building she had been pointed to.

The thing reeked of stuck up people, so that was promising, at least

"Hello, what can we do for you today?" The receptionist said as soon as Elizabeth walked into the building.

The site was empty besides a few students with the weird badges of the disciplinary comittee and some with bands of the student council.

"...Starbright," Also a very annoyed white-haired male student.

"...I forgot your name, but yes. That's me, Elizabeth Starbright." Elizabeth answered to the member of the student council that she barely interacted with.

"Asher," The white-haired guy said, "Asher Sterling, The Disciplinary Comite Chairman."

Oh.....the guy at the top of the organization of the student who Elizabeth left stunned...

"What can we do for you Starbright? I was under the impression that you returned only to register the [Hero] or [Villain] with who you will be taking an apprenticeship with." Asher said standing straight and looking at Elizabeth with narrowed eyes, some of the students with the badge turned straight to attention and turned their attention to them.

"...Do someone really say when they will be under a Villain?" Elizabeth asked back intriguied, she doubted some would be that dumb right?

"Some do," Asher answered, "When they are too proud to understand that they are dumb for telling the next generation of heroes who they will be with, those that do usually return in a stretcher and end up not working as members of the superpowered community."

That sounded about right, Elizabeth also would not like to work with someone who advertised her identity...if she was in the business of keeping it secret.

But that was beside the point, "Well...I do want to make sure that the school knows that we will be studying under two members of the [Nine Stars]." Elizabeth said, smirking, "I have Rossie and Rena's paperwork with me."

"You could have filed that with the receptionist, you didn't need to come here for that." Asher said without a care in the world.

  Wasn't that amazing?

  Though public.

"I also need to speak with Evangeline," Elizabeth said next, at her words Asher's demeanor turned razor sharp and Elizabeth could feel the Lightning react. "So now you know why I needed to come here."

Elizabeth said as she let some of her Lightning course through her body, if Asher wanted to fight with that...well, she could test her might against another Lightning user...that should be a good workout for her.
