CHAPTER - 195
Narrator: Selene wrapped her arms behind Dav's head, enveloping him in a tender and profound embrace, as if she wished to capture that special moment and
preserve it in time forever.
For her, it was once again a small miracle, one of those rare memories silently cherished in the heart.
Myry, the sword tied at Selene's side, observed the scene.
She remained silent, as if she too, though without a soul, understood the sweetness and sanctity of that instant.
Her spiritual eyes, ancient and patient, saw everything without judgment.
The moon, high in the sky, cast its silvery light upon the doors of the royal castle.
Selene and Dav, illuminated by the moonlight, appeared as a couple depicted on an eternal canvas: a father and a mother, two young adults who loved and cherished
each other, surrounded by the peace of the night world.
As if they had been blessed by that light.
"Would you like to go rest? Let's leave everything to Stefan.
We have to depart tomorrow anyway."
Selene's voice was sweet, now free from all shyness. Her enamored gaze shone, warm and intense.
She looked at Dav's face with tenderness, noticing his goofy and somewhat exhausted expression that made her smile.
"Lead the way, my lady."
Dav replied with irony, accompanied by evident fatigue in his voice.

Every muscle in his body seemed to crave rest.
Meanwhile, in the hall still animated by the evening's final notes, the King and Queen conversed, sipping elegantly from their goblets.
Stefan remained close to them, his sword always at his side, upright, vigilant, silent.
The only royal guard still active and awake.
"Perhaps they've gone to sleep.
Dav seemed very tired. It must be exhausting to keep that aura constantly active..
especially that mass of Black surrounding him."
Said the Queen, setting down her goblet and turning to her husband with a caring look.
"I noticed, my dear. Let's leave them be.
The evening is nearly over; we need not worry.
And besides, Stefan is strong. Let's not forget that."
Replied the King with a slight but sincere smile.
He looked at the Queen and then at Stefan, with a gaze of approval.
Stefan gave a slight bow as a sign of respect, then straightened with the composure of an experienced knight.
"Little Stefy.. even he, my adorable brother-in-law, has become a man.
How time flies, my dear..."
Commented the Queen theatrically, bringing a hand to her face in an exaggerated gesture.
The King burst into a brief laugh, infected by her charm.
"They're no longer children.
But it's true.. time flies, and we grow older, my Queen."
The two smiled at each other affectionately, joining hands naturally, like two lovers still deeply connected, despite the years and duties.
Meanwhile, Dav and Selene arrived at their room.
Selene opened the door and entered first, followed by Dav.
"I'm very tired..."
He said melodramatically, throwing himself onto the bed like an actor in a romantic tragedy.
His body sank into the pillows with a sigh.
"Then let's sleep. But this time properly, under the sheet, not like today, haha!"
Selene laughed softly as they began to undress naturally, in a silence filled with trust and intimacy.
There was no more embarrassment, only the calm after the storm of emotions.
Dav wore pajamas adorned with teddy bears and bunnies.
The pastel colors made the scene almost comical, considering his tired face and the menacing aura he often bore.
Selene, on the other hand, wore pajamas decorated with sleeping koalas.
"I'm no longer surprised by your pajamas.."
Commented Dav, letting his head fall onto the pillow.
The two slipped under the sheet, the lights dimmed.
Selene approached and hugged him tightly, intertwining her legs with his, as if she wanted to merge them together to never let him go.
She stayed there, staring at him in silence.
Her heart still full of emotions.
That whole day.. the rank, the dance, the kiss..
everything seemed so perfect it was frightening.
She feared, deep down, that it was just a dream.
So, to prevent those moments from fading, she kissed him again.
For minutes. Many. One after another, sweet, deep, until fatigue took them both.
They fell asleep with small smiles, slow breaths, embraced.
He full of kisses from the neck up.
And the world, for that night, finally seemed right.
