CHAPTER - 190 [The Arrival of the Guests and His Entrance]

  CHAPTER - 190

Narrator: The three continued to talk as if nothing else existed, while Dav, sitting with a relaxed air, began to wonder who among the nobles and high-ranking figures

  would attend the much-anticipated event.

Dav: (curious) Will there be anyone I know at this party?

[Edmund looked at him with a simple, almost distracted gaze.]

Edmund: Depends. Do you know any noble from these lands, boy?

[Dav turned his eyes toward the horizon. He remained silent for a few seconds, thoughtful.]

  Dav: (sighing) No, no one.

[He paused briefly, then lowered his gaze, becoming more serious.]

Dav: But.. since when does Selene enjoy events like this?

She doesn’t really seem like the type, judging by her expression.

I think she’d be happier climbing Mount Everest than attending a royal reception, judging from the look in her eyes.

[Edmund and Algernon exchanged a surprised glance.

hey didn’t expect Dav had observed her so closely in such a short time.]

  Edmund: (thoughtful) Who knows..

She seemed interested while talking with the Queen, but I can’t say for sure.

I was kicked out of the room before things got interesting.

[Algernon stood silently and gave a respectful nod.]

Algernon: (bowing slightly) Your Majesty. Legendary Hero. I take my leave.

I must oversee the soldiers’ training.

[He took a step back with elegance and saluted them.]

Algernon: Enjoy the rest of your time.

Narrator: The two followed him with their eyes as he calmly walked away toward the training field.

His cape swayed slightly in the evening breeze, as imposing as ever.

Dav: (serious but with an ironic tone) There will be plenty of food, right? After all, at a royal party, that’s the least I expect.

[He asked with an expression halfway between seriousness and hope, turning to Edmund.]

Edmund: (with an irritated yet affectionate tone) You can always go to the kitchen if you get hungry..

maybe this time I’ll finally get rid of you.

[But beneath that grumpy tone, there was a faint smile.]

  Edmund: (more serious) Anyway..

  don’t forget your cloak.

And fix that hair. Looks like a crow’s nest.

Narrator: He said it with a touch of paternal concern, like someone who knows Dav tends to overlook such details.

He stood up slowly, stretching with a slight sigh, then walked off toward the castle without adding anything else.

Dav remained there a moment longer, then stood up as well and returned inside, heading to Selene’s room to find his cloak and do something about his unruly hair.

When the clock struck eight, the guests began to arrive.

Dav observed everything from Selene’s window.

From above, he saw luxurious cars, some proper limousines pulling up outside the castle walls.

Elegant figures stepped out with grace, refined attire, and composed smiles.

  The grand hall filled quickly.

The King, seated on his throne,

raised his voice to welcome those present.

"I thank you all for being here tonight, in honor of Royal Guard Selene and her new rank, earned during the evaluation today.

Enjoy your evening, ladies and gentlemen."

The hall was packed. Impeccable waiters moved among the guests with silver trays, serving glasses and hors d'oeuvres.

On the sides, long banquet tables were overflowing with fine dishes and desserts.

The decorations were lavish: tapestries, banners with golden lions, heraldic symbols everywhere.

It was then that Dav decided to make his entrance.

He walked into the hall with his usual nonchalance, moving through the crowd as if it were his own home, cloak neatly in place and his hair finally, more or less, under

  control.

His crimson red eyes moved slowly, scanning every face, every movement.

He was looking for someone in particular.

Selene was nowhere to be seen, not even the Queen on her throne.

He continued to walk unhurriedly, his serious gaze and crimson eyes casting a subtle fear among the guests due to his strong aura and piercing presence.
