Sam spotted a shield surrounding the vessel, barely visible in the darkness. It was a light blue in color, similar to that one surrounding his faction city, back on Earth. Sam extended a spike of the Dao from the tip of his hammer, condensing it in upon itself until he could feel the pressure from it. Then he thrust it into the shield. There were a few moments of resistance, as tens of thousands of points of mana were brought to bear. Then Sam overpowered it, and slammed the spear of light through the shield, and into the hull of the ship. The metal deformed, and imploded, blasting a massive hole in the ship. It was quite tough, able to hold up to Sam’s E Rank power without completely disintegrating, but a hole was still blasted through it. Sam flew into the ship, the Dao propelling him forward.
Within, a few F Rankers had survived, drawing weapons at a rate that seemed pitifully slow to Sam. He teleported a dozen times spelling death each one. With a mighty blow of his hammer, he sent one half of the ship flying, towards another. Moving at meteoric speeds, the hunk of metal crashed into the shield, and drove the intact ship off course.
Sam teleported in front of the reeling vessel, his hammer cocked back and swinging. The momentum of the ship drove it into the incoming head of Terra’s Will, and the entire thing creaked as its hull dented inwards before the blow. Sam pushed with all of his Strength, and the multi hundred ton chunk of metal and machinery was batted away like a supersonic baseball, aimed at the center of the fleet. There were about fifty of the smaller craft heading Sam’s way, led by three dreadnoughts, the true threats. All of them seemed to be made out of E Rank materials, meaning that Sam couldn’t just vaporize them in a single blow. He was going to have to work for this victory.
Hundreds of guns turned their sights on Sam as he flitted through the inky darkness of space, firing off projectiles so fast that they posed a danger even to him. Many of them he could simply ignore, but a few of the larger ships’ attacks had a homing component, loosing great orbs of flame and exotic energies that were locked in on him, even through teleports.
Sam whirled around to face on of them, his hand streaking forwards as he drew upon his Dao. A wreath of red and blue light surrounding his gauntlet as he punched, and a cone of force shot forwards, impacting the center of the enemy attack. The orb bent inwards, and was obliterated from the inside out, imploding on one side, and exploding on the other. A wash of flame spread across the void, but was quickly extinguished by the intense cold and lack of oxygen.

Sam destroyed the other attacks in a similar manner, before turning his sights on the ships. Like a wrecking ball, he tore his way through the weaker vessels, teleporting beside them and hammering them into one another. While they were annoying to destroy, as all had the same relative durability, smashing them into one another like toys worked wonders. After all, most of the crews were weaklings, at least compared to him.
On the massive asteroid far below, the portal began to shudder as something immense pushed its way through. A massive, mechanical dragon, with wings the width of a city, emerged, its eyes replaced by sensors, and its claws by cannons. It screeched, waves of the Dao buffeting the world as it locked eyes on Sam. Behind the glassy orbs and cameras, Sam could feel the attention of a living being. It was being controlled by Abrinadus.
Sam blitzed the weapon systems on the nearest ships, wanting to give his allies from the Blacktusks a fighting chance before he engaged the true threat. Metal screeched as cannons were torn apart and guns blasted back into their mounts. Then Sam teleported once more, and exploded into motion, searing flames of his Dao shooting him down towards the asteroid below.
The mechanical dragon glared up at him, and raked one clawed hand, the size of a small town, across the sky. Thousands of energy bolts streaked forth, all of which homed in on Sam, looking like a solid wall of force. He twirled his hammer artfully in one hand, and shot down, coating the weapon with the skill matrix of his most powerful technique. Dao layered on top of elemental energy and mana imbued his Artifact with enough power to destroy cities, and with a titanic bang, he slammed it into the center of the incoming barrage. So powerful was his Dao that it made itself known in space, the sound transmitting itself to his ears, regardless of the lack of a medium to do so.
The wall of projectiles loosed by the dragon bent inwards, bulging out on the other side before coming apart completely, a hemisphere of light and force blasting it apart, letting Sam fly through. He forced his hammer to expand to maximum size, and raised it as he fell towards the dragon below. The massive weapon, far larger than its wielder, sparked in the light of the distant sun. Sam adjusted his grip, and transformed it into a pillar of fulminating electricity, before blasting it down at the very limits of his strength. Space seemed to light up between him and his target, as the bolt streaked down to strike the metal monster below.
