"You are a Tarnished, I can see it. And I can also see... That you're not after my throat. Then why not purchase a little something? I am Kale, Purveyor of fine goods."(Kale)
I looked at Kale and thought about my response. I need to get the crafting kit, but I also need the cookbooks. And even after all of that I need to save some runes for levels... Unless...
"You know, if you can spare the runes, you should buy yourself a crafting kit. A crafting kit allows you to make basic items on your own. Essential really, if you intend to survive out here for any duration. The kit costs a bundle, and I admit, I do take my cut. But the important thing is that you survive. Every customer counts, after all."(Kale)
I gazed at the array of iteMs Kale spread out.
I pointed out a bag fUll of tools, the three cookbooks, and the three cracked pots.
"I'm gd you took my warning to heart. You've made an excellent choice."(Kale)
I handed over the 3,400 runes and put the items into my inventory. I was done with my Shopping and so I made to leave.
"Goodbye. For now."(Kale)
I made my way to the north, sneaking up on and killing Two soldiers of Godrick while I was at it. Until I came upon a cave, the groveside cave. I snuck in slowly and quietly, avoiding the wolves who were sitting around in the main room. After I smacked a lone wolf off to the side, I Went down a side path until I came upon a fog wall. This boss was the beastman of Farum Azu, should be easy pickings.
WAlking into the room I saw that the floor was cluttered with broken wood pnks and dead soldiers. I let out a furious war cry and ran towards the rge creature that had charged at me. The creature's curved sword was swung wildly and was easy to dodge. Each of my strikes pounded into the creature, stunning it. I didn't even have to take a break. After a few moments, The creature's skull cracked, and it began turning into ash as it died.
"??... ??."(???)
After that I systematically crushed and looted the rest of the cave. I walked away with several new crafting materials and another cracked pot. I rested at the site of grace beFore leaving the cave only to stop and double take. One of the soldiers I had killed on the way to the cave was alive again.
So, they do still respawn. That's good to know.
I continued wandering around the cliffs tOwards the west. Until I came upon a wooden door set into the side of the cliff. The Stormfoot Catacombs. I opened the door and entered cautiously. The hallways looked simir to the hallways in the fringefolk hero's grave.
I walked down some stairs and came upon a pale phantom sitting on a chaiR.
"... A proper death means returning to the Erdtree. Have patience. Until the time comes... And the roots call to you."(Phantom)
I walked past the phantom and looked into a room with a corpse on the floor. I saw a fanged imp waiting.
Whenever you see one fanged imp, there's at least one or two more waiting in ambush.
Sure enough, another one tried to assassinate me once I sTepped into the room. That said, they were just as easy to dispatch as they were back in the fringfolk hero's grave. A little easier actually. I then left the room and went down a side passage with some stairs until I came upon a very rge door with statues on either side. That was the doorway to the boss room, and on the right-hand side I saw a coffin and in front of that cOffin was a pnt with fuzzy glowing bulbs.
Eventually, past a whole bunch of fanGed imps and a couple of fire spewer pilrs, I pulled a lever and heard a loud clunk. I knew that this meant the boss door has opened, I also knew that I wouldn't be coming back here for a while. The boss of this dungeon is the Erdtree Burial Watchdog. I @#%ing hate those things, I won't be beating it until I have some levels and a strong hammer-type weapon.
I left the dungeon and made my way down to the western beach. The beach itself wasn't very interesting. There was a guy who was an absolute unit and wouldn't go down for several minutes, but otherwise the beach was pretty Boring. I didn't wander close to the group of demi-humans, I wasn't ready to clear out their cave just yet, but otherwise I explored the majority of the beach and scavenged for just about anything. On the way down to the beach I saw a troll, it looked to be as big as a two-story house. Like a school bus stood up on its back, sticking straight up into the air.
Yeah... I'm not fighting that just yet.
"??... ??! ??????????! ??! ??! ????!"(???)
I began making my way east, towards the gate front site of grace. The nearby ruins would give me some essential equipment and some quick Runes. On the way there I passed through a sparse forest and killed several soldiers and animals as well as a few rge bat-like creatures.
The gate front appeared to be a rge castle gate sat in between two cliffs. The gate was open, and a brick road stretched from the gate through the ruins and beyond. The ruins appeared as if they werE once a bustling vilge, but all the houses were destroyed and any wood used in the construction had long since either burnt or rotted away, leaving only the half destroyed stone bricks. There were several carriages and camps scattered throughout the ruins manned by soldiers. A single knight paced up and down the road within the ruins and seemed to be a commander of sorts.
I snuck around until I made my way to the gate itself, off to the side was the site of grace. I knew how much I needed to rest here, not only because it was getting Dark, but because I was going to meet the most important NPC here.
Sitting down at the grace, I waited for several minutes before I heard the voice.
"Greetings. Traveller from beyond the fog."(???)
I turned to look at the cloaked figure who had appeared beside me.
"I Am Melina."(Melina)
Melina stepped forward, then knelt down beside the grace with me.
"I offer you an accord."(Melina)
