CHAPTER 6

Helena wiped the tear from her cheek.

  — "Tch. Whatever."

She hated that Madison had managed to get a reaction out of her. But no matter.

  Madison would pay for this.

Helena took a deep breath, trying to focus. She still felt… off.

  — "Ugh…"

It had to be that fucking transformation spell.

That lingering trash of Madison’s features still clinging to her body.

Maybe it had drained more of her magic than she thought. Or maybe something else was happening. There was a slight tightness in her skin.

She looked down at her hands.

Her nails. They were longer and with red nail polish. Not hers.

  Helena knew her magic.

Her transformations were (almost) always precise. Always temporary.

Well, she don't even remember the st time she did a transformation on herself.

  But anyway, this was spreading.

  Her breath quickened.

She reached up, grabbing at her hair, running her fingers through the ptinum strands. There were streaks of grayish gold in it.

  Madison’s blonde.

  Her throat tightened.

  — "No. No, no, no. What i did wrong with this spell?? "

She should’ve fully reverted by now. But she wasn’t.

Helena swallowed hard, forcing herself to breathe.

  — "Okay. Okay. It’s fine."

  She could fix this.

She just had to read again her main spell book and solve it.

Helena gritted her teeth and stomped toward her broken bookshelf, yanking out her main spellbook. Her fingers trembled slightly as she flipped through the pages.

This isn’t happening. This isn’t happening. This isn't happening . This isn't happening. This isn't happening.

She skimmed past basic transformations, illusions, energy manipution, self control, curative magic. None of this shit was useful. Her breathing grew shallow.

Then she caught her reflection in the reflection of her off TV.

  Her breath hitched.

  Her face wasn’t hers anymore.

Her cheekbones were rounder. Her lips fuller. The traces of Madison’s features had fully taken over.

She stumbled back, her stomach twisting in horror.

  And speaking of her stomach

She looked down and got shocked.

Her waist had thickened. Her arms looked fcid. There were cellulite on her thighs that hadn’t been there before.

  — "Why is this still happening?! It was just a temporary spell!"

Her breathing turned ragged. The magic had never done this before. Had she messed up the reversal? Had she been too careless? Had she been so foolish as ever?

Her nails dug into her arms.

  She needed to undo this.

Helena's fingers trembled as she flipped through the pages. Her mind racing.

The right spell had to be here somewhere.

Her eyes darted over the words, but nothing looked right. Nothing.

She tried to focus, but every second that passed, her body felt worse.

Her belly infted out further, pressing against the waistband of her skirt. Her arms felt soft, heavy. Even her face she could feel changing, shifting further into Madison.

Her jaw clenched. She could fix this. She had to.

But the book wasn’t helping. (Also Helena)

She turned another page. Then another, then another, and another.

  — "Where the hell is it?! It was supposed to be easy to found!"

Her hands shook. Her vision blurred slightly.

She grabbed her head, breathing heavily.

But she couldn’t. She never properly studied any kind of spells. Just the transformation ones, without reversal.

  And now..

Her chest felt tight. Her clothes stretched, clinging to her body in the worst way.

She had never felt like this before. Trapped.

  She had to stop it.

She smmed the book shut. frustration.

  — "WHY CAN’T I FIX THIS?!"

  Her voice cracked.

Her voice didn’t sound like hers anymore. Such a shame for our lovely Helena.

Helena's breath was shaky. Her hands were clenched into fists.

This wasn’t working. The book was useless.

Whatever. She would do it her way.

She stepped back, trying to steady her breathing. Her legs felt thicker. The growing weight of her body made everything feel off-bance.

She didn’t care. She had to stop this.

  Closing her eyes, she focused.

  — "Alright… I just need to… reverse it. Simple. Just undo what I did."

Her magic flickered around her. A soft and sweet glow.

She pictured herself—the real her. Small. Cute. Perfect.

She felt the energy surround her, pushing against the changes.

  — "That's it… just go back…"

  It was actually working.

A relieved grin spread across her face. Yes! She still had control! Lesgo!

  But then—

  PAIN.

A sharp, twisting pull shot through her.

  Her eyes flew open.

  Something was wrong.

Her skin burned, stretched. Her limbs pulsed, and before she could react... Her stomach pushed out even more.

Her arms thickened. Her legs swelled. Everything expanded.

  Her clothes ripped.

  — "W-WHAT?!"

Her voice deeper and heavier. Not hers.

She stumbled back, nearly falling over.

She had made it WORSE. Let's congratute her!
