“Yeah, after seeing the fight between Everburn and the gold, I am nowhere near that level of power yet. Although, I might stand a chance against a younger dragon. The real problem would be convincing my wives to even let me try.”

  Mercy says “Yeah, that’s not happening! We still haven’t forgiven you for going hunting the gold with Everburn! That was suicidal enough! No way are you going to another world to hunt dragons on your own!”

  Myria says “I second that! If you go anyway, we will absolutely tell Lin!”

  “Even if I am doing it to make you all stronger?”

  Sero says “We don’t need to wait for Lin, I can just tell my creator right now!”

  “Now that is just being mean!”

  Brightfire says “Then you are going to have to wait until you can convince us that you are strong enough that it isn’t suicide!”

  “Yeah, that’s not going to be anytime soon. I’m not even sure that I can reach that level of strength! Although, Damona, do those worlds also have lots of lesser dragon types? Like drakes and wyverns?”

  Damona says “A couple of them do, why?”

  “Because I can hunt those and they are a good way for me to get stronger. Not to mention, they would be better food for the dragon’s essence.”

  Mercy says “That would be fine, as long as you promise not to try and hunt any dragons. But how do you plan to get to these worlds?”

  Damona says “I have already visited them, so I can teleport directly to them. Although, carrying Ash while doing so is going to completely drain me. Then again, with the new tattoos, maybe not.”

  “If you can get me there, I should be able to gate us back. Not to mention that I will handle anything we run into. However, I don’t have time to go right now, we will talk about it more later.”

  Mercy says “I know that you need to go soon, but you aren’t leaving without making the promise! That way, you can’t just accidentally run off without asking any of us first!”

  “Alright, I promise not to try and hunt any dragons without permission!”

  Mercy says “Good enough.”

  To start the goodbyes, I go around and kiss my three wives, then Sero and Kreno. They are leaving with me, but I just wanted to kiss them and then I go on to kiss Leafa. She is a good kisser, but she behaves and doesn’t try to take things any further.

  When I move on and give Damona a kiss she tries really hard to take things too far. However, I was absolutely expecting that and I was completely prepared to fend her off. However, she is tempting enough that I almost want to let her have her way.

  The main reason that I don’t have some fun with her on my throne is that my kids are in the room. While a little disappointing, it is probably a good thing, the rulers are still waiting for me. I finally manage to pry her off of me and start giving each of my kids some attention.

  They are still grouped up, but when I walk over I find that Kirito is sound asleep. He probably got completely worn out playing with all of his new siblings, I bet he had fun. I pet and cuddle each of them, I also make sure to chat a little with each of them.

  By the time I am done with that, it is definitely lunch time, so I get ready to open a gate. However, when I go to gather everyone, I get a surprise, Leafa and Damona are with Sero and Kreno. Bella is also standing with them, chatting and laughing like this is a party.

  “What’s going on?”

  Bella says “The three of us are coming with you, but only for a day or two. You don’t mind, right?”

  “No, I don’t mind. I just didn’t know that this was part of the plan.”

  Sero says “It was a last minute decision. You need to sleep with them to seal the contracts and Kreno and I enjoy sharing.”

  “Do you really enjoy sharing? Or do you just want others to distract Kreno from picking on you?”

  Sero says “If I’m being honest, both.”

  “Well, as long as you don’t mind sharing your time, then I have no problem with them coming with us. I’m sure it will be fun! Alright, let’s get moving!”

  Asuna is coming back with us to keep helping out with Kirito and Mulan is also joining us. She is going to see if she can help me with my experiments on essence since she is the most knowledgeable of my kids. Since she is one of the ones I plan to offer the blood to, it should work out fairly well.

  Other than that, Lenora is heading back with us, but I have to wait a few minutes. We all stand around waiting while she gives Grimgar a list of instructions to follow. From how Grimgar looks, I am guessing that this isn’t the first time she has told him the list. When she finishes, I quickly step in and open the gate before she can start the list over.

  Luckily, the throne helped to recharge my mana while we were talking and I don’t need to use a crystal. I usher everyone through ahead of me, follow them through, and then close the gate. I brought us out near the carriage and Lizzy instantly starts sniffing at Leafa and Damona.

  I quickly make the introductions before Lizzy can do anything that I would regret. I make sure to warn Leylisha about Damona, otherwise she might end up seduced. Although, for all I know she might be interested in that kind of thing, but I’m not about to ask.

  After the introductions, we quickly fill the two of them in on the current situation. As soon as Leylisha hears about the clans possibly moving, she asks to carry the message to her clan. Since I am not planning to have the caravan move today, I agree and open a gate to where we found her.

  Lizzy detaches herself from the carriage, waits for Leylisha to mount her, and then goes through the gate. I will summon Lizzy back around dinnertime, that should give them enough time. They both had to go because without a mount Leylisha would still be an outcast.

  Once they are gone, I head over to have lunch with the rulers and fill them in on the plan. The rulers are fairly confused at first, but after explaining it again they start to get the picture. As usual, Amn is the first one to understand the implications of the beastmen leaving.

  Emperor Amn says “How long do we have to make sure we have defenses in place?”

  “I don’t have a definite timeline right now, but I would guess around two weeks.”

  King Cecil says “Defenses? Are you thinking that the beastmen will go raiding before they move?”
