“Well, I have some blood infused with giant essence. It would give you some of the strength and maybe increase your size a little. I just had the thought that it might suit you.”

  Lizzy says “I thought I was going to be the first test subject?”

  “For dragon essence, yes. This was me figuring out how to infuse the blood, I wasn’t going to do that with dragon essence.”

  Lizzy says “Oh, that makes sense. Okay.”

  Grimgar says “It sounds interesting. Will it affect my ability to sire children?”

  “It shouldn’t. At most, it would give you a giant bloodline, which would be passed on to your children.”

  Grimgar says “Meaning my kids would be bigger than normal? I definitely need to discuss that with Lenora before agreeing!”

  Brightfire says “Good idea!”

  “Fair enough. I will hold on to it until you discuss it with her.”

  Grimgar says “Actually, would it be possible to make another? It might make things easier if we both take it.”

  “Yeah, that shouldn’t be a problem. Although, that would increase the chances of your kids inheriting something.”

  Grimgar says “I see that as a good thing. I am pretty sure that Lenora will feel the same, but I will still wait until I have discussed it with her before I agree.”

  “That’s for the best. Trust me, keeping your wife happy is the key to a good life!”

  Brightfire says “Especially when you have more than one wife, right Ash?”

  “Absolutely!”

  Grimgar laughs and says “Smart answer! Luckily, I only have one wife to keep happy. That is more than enough for me!”

  “You had better hope it stays that way. Lenora is currently interacting with my wives, she may decide that she likes the idea.”

  Grimgar says “Don’t say that! I have no idea what I would do if she decided she wants me to take another wife!”

  “If you’re smart, you will make sure that is what she really wants and then gracefully capitulate to her wishes!”

  Brightfire laughs and says “Like you did?”

  “No, I am hoping he will learn from my mistakes! I fought against it and it was completely useless! Trust me, if Lenora selects someone she wants as a sister wife, you will already be outnumbered. At that point, surrender is the smart choice. Besides, having more than one wife can be quite fun, as long as they get along.”

  Grimgar says “I will take what you have said to heart, but I really hope that I don’t need to worry about it!”

  We finish lunch and get back on the road, but I don’t go back to experimenting for now. I feel bad that I haven’t given Brightfire as much attention as I should have. So, I plan to spend the rest of the time that she is with me trying to make up for that.

  I spend the rest of the day cuddling and chatting with her, but I also pay attention to Asuna and Kirito. While we are chatting, Brightfire tells me that I need to go through the gate tomorrow. Apparently, I am needed for some ceremony, but she won’t give me any specifics.

  I know my wives well enough to know that they won’t waste my time, so I agree to go. Since she won’t tell me, my wives obviously want to surprise me with something. That means that it is probably good news, maybe something to do with Leafa and Damona.

  I will just have to wait and find out tomorrow, for now I just enjoy my time with Brightfire. When we stop for the night, I set up the cabin and then bury another gate platform. It is a little early to place another, but it will make gating back to the peninsula a little easier.

  I feed Kirito while the others eat, but I don’t eat myself, but I don’t think anyone notices. As soon as Brightfire is done eating, I take her into the bedroom and shapeshift into my elven form. I then do everything that I can to make our fun last as long as possible.

  Eventually, Brightfire runs out of stamina and falls asleep, but she definitely had fun. The first thing I do after she is asleep is infuse another drop of blood with giant essence for Lenora. After that, I take out the gold’s heart and start stuffing myself like I am starving.

  Well, that was certainly a pleasant bonus, but it triggering doesn’t stop me from eating. The heart is just too delicious, I don’t stop eating until I feel like I am going to burst. There is still enough of the heart left for one more meal, which I will save for later.

  After putting away the remainder of the heart, I open a soulscape and invite everyone. I spend some time giving all the kids some love and then let them go play tag with Lizzy. I make an attempt, but none of my wives will give me any hints about the ceremony tomorrow.

  Not that I really mind, but it is fun trying to get them to slip up and give me a hint. After the kids get tired and leave, we have our fun, but even then I can’t get any hints out of them. After that, I spend some time with the goddesses, then I spend the rest of the night working on my core.

  When Brightfire wakes up, we spend a nice relaxing time together before joining the others for breakfast. Once we are done eating, I head outside and inform the rulers that we will be delaying leaving for a bit. Once everyone is out, I put away the cabin and then open a gate to the throne room.

  When I walk through, I find the throne room crowded, all the tribal chiefs are present. There are also some new people that I don’t recognize, probably new recruits for the government. I move to take my seat on the throne and then wait to see what my wives have cooked up.

  My kids are here, but they all quickly gather behind the throne to meet Kirito. Asuna has him, so I am not too worried about him freaking out, he will get used to them. Grimgar also came along and he is eyeing all of the tribal chiefs, but introductions will have to wait.

  The doors open and to my surprise it is Leonarr that enters, but I see Lenora sneak in behind him. The chatter stops, meaning whatever is going on, it has to do with Leonarr. He has certainly been winning the war, so maybe this is some kind of award ceremony for him.

  Leonarr kneels and says “I, Leonarr, chieftain of the Lion tribe, hereby swear my allegiance to Ash, Emperor of Brittania!”
