That is probably what I will end up doing, but I am going to wait until the experiments are done. Not only will finishing them possibly let us learn more, it is a good way to spend time with Mulan. Besides, she is highly intelligent and she might think of something I missed.

  However, our experiments get interrupted a few hours after lunch when the caravan stops. When I stick my head out to take a look, I see a group of soldiers ahead of us. It looks like we have reached human lands just as predicted, but I don’t have to deal with it.

  Amn comes forward to deal with them, meaning that I don’t need to even get out of my carriage. We end up sitting still for over a half of an hour while Amn talks to the soldiers. Once we are finally moving again, we get on to the kingdom’s roads and follow them.

  According to the map, we need to pass through a small part of this kingdom and then another to reach the Magic Kingdom. This is not the path that I took to reach it last time, but I did pass through a different part of the next kingdom. Not that it really matters, what does is that we should reach the Magic Kingdom in three days.

  Maybe less since the caravan is still moving faster than it would normally be able to. So, I at most have the next two days to spend with Sero and Kreno before they need to return. I will also probably send Mulan home with them, at least temporarily, but not Asuna.

  I will keep her with me to help with Kirito, Lizzy and I should be able to protect them. Besides, Asuna is strong enough to protect herself and Kirito from most things. The same should be true of Mulan, but I’m not confident in how she would react right now.

  Mulan is more mature in a lot of ways, but Asuna is more steady, maybe because she is older. I think that Mulan is more mature because of her memories from her past lives, but she lacks actual experiences. Asuna doesn’t have the memories, but she has experienced more than Mulan.

  Probably because her and Kechara were my first kids and I made more mistakes with them. It was also just me at the time, I didn’t have any wives to help me with them back then. I’m pretty sure that I have mellowed out since I met my wives, well since I met Lin.

  Kechara and Asuna had it the hardest out of my kids, because I had no idea what I was doing. The kids who came later at least had the two of them as older sisters to help them. That is why I feel that I can trust Kechara and Asuna to handle things that the other kids would struggle with.

  Hopefully, the missions will help the other kids mature and be more like those two. The sad part is that I want them to have the chance to mature without actually being in real danger. That isn’t really possible, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting it to work that way.

  A guard of Amn’s knocks on the door and informs us that he wants to stop at the city ahead. It has been a while since everyone else has had a chance to sleep in a bed, so I don’t object. In fact, if they want to stop for a day to rest, I won’t complain since it will give me an extra day with Sero and Kreno.

  We should be ahead of schedule thanks to passing through the lands of the beastmen, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Of course, that doesn’t mean I am going to be the one to bring it up, I’ll leave that to the rulers. I am sure that at least one of them will complain about wanting to have a rest.

  In fact, I would be willing to bet money that Gremshow is already complaining to Amn. However, that is Amn’s problem, since he doesn’t want me to kill Gremshow. It takes two more hours to reach the city, but as usual Amn sent someone ahead.

  He rented out an entire hotel, one big enough that even the guards have rooms. To be honest, I am surprised that there is a hotel this big considering it is only a small city. It must be on a major trade route or something, that’s the only reason I can think of.

  Amn was even nice enough to get me two suites, one for the kids and one for me. The kids join us in my suite so that we can all eat dinner together and after we eat I play with them. They head back to their suite to sleep once I have worn them out and I head to bed with Sero and Kreno.

  I have fun wearing the two of them out and then open the soulscapes as usual. The first goes as usual, but in the second I inform the goddesses of what Everburn told me. Mainly so that they can’t get mad at me for experimenting or if something strange happens.

  Which if I am being honest, is more likely than not considering how things normally go. It’s not like I intentionally try to make things go in strange ways, well not all the time. I’ll admit that there have been a few times where I have done things that way just to see Seronia’s reaction.

  However, this is not going to be one of those times, at least not intentionally. I will not mess around considering that this has to do with my potential to become stronger. On the other hand, that isn’t going to stop things from turning out weird, that will depend on my luck.

  So, something going weird is almost guaranteed, that’s just the way my luck goes. After having some fun with the goddesses, I enter my medication and start working on my core integration. As I am working on it, instead of trying new things, I try to sense what is actually happening.

  It takes a lot of concentration, but I can eventually feel that my body is forming connections to my core. The energy I am putting into my core is fueling them and attracting them to my core. However, when I turn part of my focus to my body, I find I can make the connections myself.

  Then I just have to let the energy in my core attract them and finish off the connection. It is much faster that way because I can build the connections easier than just letting them build themselves. I am extremely pleased with my progress by the time I sense Sero and Kreno waking up.

  That has me in a really good mood as I end my meditation and join Sero and Kreno in bed. We have our morning fun and we are about to have breakfast with the kids when there is a knock on the door. When I answer it, I find one of Amn’s guards who informs me that Amn would like me to join him for breakfast.
