Seronia says “You can be so frustrating at times! Why are you just standing around? I can sense that you haven’t moved!”
“Well, I was waiting to see if any of the gray or black gods would send an avatar for me to play with.”
Seronia says “Ash!!”
To avoid another lecture, I go ahead and gate myself back to the oasis. Besides, if more avatars were going to show up, I’m pretty sure they would have by now. Luckily, while I was gone, Myria and the others have gotten everyone organized and settled in.
As soon as I show up, Myria pounces on me, but I was expecting that since she is leaving in the morning. I don’t resist her at all as she drags me into the carriage for some private time. I shapeshift into her favorite form and spend the next few hours giving her everything she wants.
Once Myria is exhausted and has fallen asleep with a smile on her face, I try to remember what I was working on. I know I sorted through my pouch and upgraded it, but I don’t remember what I was going to do next. Since I can’t remember, I take out all the angel gear I looted and go through it.
None of it is as good as the armor and sword I already have, so I leave it in a pile. I will give it to Myria to take back with her and hand out to those who can use it. I guess I could always start working on the new carriage, I have everything I need for it now.
Before that, I take out my golden armor and take a look at it to see if I can improve it. There is not much room left and since it is enchanted with divine power I can’t see any improvements to make. However, I get a slightly crazy idea and decide to disenchant the armor.
Then, I pick out the best of the armor I got from the angels and disenchant it as well. Once they are disenchanted, I work on merging the two armors together despite them being made from different materials. As I am merging them, I use my new knowledge to reduce the mass of them and turn it into capacity.
Before I go any further, I grab the nice suit that Zachariah gave me and add it into the pile. The angel armor from today is a silver chainmail, I place it in the middle between the golden armor and the suit. I don’t completely merge them, just enough for them to count as a single item for enchanting.
It ends up having even more capacity than I was expecting, more than enough for some experiments. The first thing I need to do is separate the capacity, but not evenly, I want more space for mana. In the end, I decide to isolate a quarter of the capacity for the divine enchantments.
Once that is done, I add a divine enchantment for protection and then a mana enchantment for the same. While the enchantments are kept separate, their effects are not and I am glad to see they work together. With a few minor changes to the enchantments, their effects merge and enhance each other.

It works even better than I was hoping, the only real limit is how inflexible the divine language is. If I could update and expand the divine language, I could do a whole lot more with this. However, after all the warning, I am not about to mess with the divine language.
I am just going to have to be satisfied with what I can manage to do with it as it is. So, with that settled, I next put in all of the divine enchantments that I want on the armor. Then I create matching mana enchantments for each of them and tweak them to match up.
It is much easier for me to tweak the mana enchantments to match the divine ones. Adding the two types of enchantments together gets me about three times the effect. That varies between enchantments, but it is certainly worth the extra time and effort.
In fact, it is working out so well that I stop for a minute to cast a barrier around me. I am worried that the armor is going to end up an artifact and want to see if I can block whatever ripples alert the goddesses. It is basically a stronger version of my privacy screen and I am hoping that it is enough.
With that in place, I go back to working on the enchantments and trying to fill the capacity. When I have all of the enchantments that I want on it, I use the remaining space for anti-magic enchantments. It just makes sense considering I am headed to the Magic Kingdom and someone is bound to throw spells at me.
Of course, I would prefer if that doesn’t happen, but I doubt that I will be that lucky. I will consider myself lucky if I am not at war with the Magic Kingdom by the time this trip is over. I am almost done with the enchantments when I feel Krenocia’s gaze on me, but I don’t let that distract me.
I finish the last of the enchantments and I feel the pulse as the armor is completed. It definitely just became an artifact, but I can’t tell if the barrier stopped the pulse or not. The pulse didn’t seem to bounce back from the barrier, so I drop the barrier to talk to Krenocia.
“Hey, did you feel anything just now?”
Krenocia says “Like what? No, I didn’t feel anything.”
“I just turned my armor into an artifact, but I put up a barrier to stop anyone from noticing. I wanted to know if it worked.”
Krenocia says “I would say it did. I had no idea and I was watching you.”
“Perfect! Now I can craft my carriage without worrying about pissing off the gods of the continent.”
Krenocia says “What’s wrong with your current carriage?”
“I didn’t make it, so it isn’t as good as it could be. Besides, I am selling this one to Amn. So, I plan to make a new one that is up to my standards.”
Krenocia says “So, you plan to make a carriage that is an artifact? Is it going to be a mansion on wheels or something?” Well, it will be bigger on the inside, but no, not a mansion. It will have some other features though and they are what I think will make it an artifact.”
Krenocia says “Well, as long as you have your barrier up when you finish it, I guess that won’t be a problem. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the souls.”
“You’re welcome. I’m just glad my new technique worked how I wanted it to. Although, your sister wasn’t as happy.”
Krenocia says “Yes, I know. I already heard everything from her. She is too used to hiding and doesn’t want to take any risks. I can’t really blame her, but I also don’t want things to stay the way they are. Not that they could, not with you around.”
“Are you calling me an agent of chaos again?”
Krenocia says “I’ve never called you an agent of chaos, I called you chaos itself. This time I am saying you are pretty much a guarantee against stagnation.”
