Ep. 1426 The Honeymoon Part 15

“Instead of your human form, could you maybe spend some time with us as an elf? Maybe the warrior form you used when rescuing my people?”

“Sure, I can do that. If no one else objects?”

Myria says “I’m fine with it, but I think to be fair we should all get a chance to request a specific form.”

Lin says “That could be amusing, but I don’t think we will have enough time left on the honeymoon.”

“I’m fine with that, as long as no one requests anything too strange.”

Sero says “Since we just joined, Kreno and I don’t really have any requests. If possible, we will save our turns for after the honeymoon.”

Lin says “That works and it solves the problem of us not having enough time for everyone to have a turn.”

“Not quite. If Brightfire gets her request tonight, that only leaves two more nights and there are three of you.”

Lin says “That’s because I don’t have any specific requests. I like being with you no matter what form you are in. Besides, you and I have already done plenty of experimenting with other forms. I will save my turn for when Bella is around to join us again.”

“Alright. That means I know what form you will be requesting. Which means Myria and Mercy get their turns the next two nights. Do the two of you know what forms you are going to request?”

Mercy says “No, I have no idea.”

Myria says “I know what I want!”

“In that case, Myria will choose tomorrow night and Mercy the night after. That gives you two days to decide what you want. Fair enough?”

Mercy says “Sounds good. That will give me time to hear some stories from Lin!”

Lin says “Sure, happy to help!”

“Alright, now that that’s settled, what do you ladies want to do today?”

Sero says “My creator told me about something that I would like to try. She called it a hot spring? Does the island have one of those?”

“Not yet, but it will. Lin, care to help?”

Lin says “Of course! I’m surprised you didn’t already add one.”

“Honestly, I didn’t think of it, but I should have.”

Lin says “It’s alright. You had a lot on your mind. So, how do you want to build it?”

“Hm, how about we build it into the side of the hill next to the lodge. We can have the overflow drain into the lagoon.”

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Lin says “That should work. Is there any underground water or lava channels for us to work with?”

“Not that I detected. We are going to have to do it all with magic.”

Lin says “Are you thinking basically an outdoor bath? Or are you thinking of messing around with nature to make a real one?”

Kreno says “Do you need to ask? Of course the second option. Ash is never satisfied with doing things the safe way.”

“The real thing is much better. The fake one is basically just a bath. I simply want the best for my wives!”

Mercy says “Oh! Good answer! Not that any of us believes that to be the reason, but still a good try!”

Lin says “I happen to agree. A real hot spring is far better. So, I can create the baths and I will leave the water source to you.”

Myria says “What makes a real hot spring so much better?”

“The water in a hot spring comes from deep underground and has a lot of minerals in it. Those minerals are really good for your skin and can have other benefits.”

Brightfire says “That must be what you know from your world. Hot springs here are much more than that.”

“Oh, right. There would be magical minerals in this world. So, what do you know about hot springs?”

Brightfire says “They can cure many ailments and help with wounds that normal healing can’t handle. They can also relieve pain from chronic illnesses and things that healers can’t fix. However, I have never heard anything about them being good for your skin.”

“Well, with magic, people are probably far less worried about their skin in this world. There are probably spells and enchanted items to help with skin conditions.”

Lin says “Yes, there are. The magic kingdom exports a massive amount of such items every year.”

Brightfire says “That must be a human thing. I have never heard of it before. Then again, we were very isolated on our island.”

Lin says “Elves have naturally beautiful skin, so that is no surprise.”

Myria says “Wait, will the hot spring make our skin as nice as Brightfire’s?”

  Lin says “It’s possible.”

Myria says “Then what are you waiting for? Get to work!”

  “Alright, I will!”

Lin says “How are you going to get the water we will need?”

“There is bound to be water already underground that I can use. It is just a matter of moving it where we need it and getting it heated. I should be able to manage without making any huge changes.”

Lin says “Alright. Let’s get started then.”

I quickly head outside, shapeshift into my earth elemental form, and sink into the ground. I move under the hill where the hot spring will be and then slowly sink straight down. I use earth mana to scan around me, looking for the water that I am going to need.

There isn’t any close by, but after a while I manage to find some much deeper down. That is going to make it a lot more difficult to get it to the surface, but not impossible. Based on the depth, the water should already be under a lot of pressure, but it isn’t heated that I can tell.

I am going to need to create the channel for the water to escape through before adding the heat. Otherwise, if I add the heat first, the increased pressure could cause me problems. I start making a chain of small cracks in the earth that lead upwards for the water to flow through.

I don’t make them very big, I don’t want too much water moving upwards at once. I only roughly know how hot springs are created, this may require a little trial and error. Since it is much easier to widen cracks than to close them, I am starting small.

Being in earth elemental form gives me the instincts to know where not to mess with. That is a good thing since if I set off even a tiny earthquake I will never hear the end of it. I keep the channels small and make sure the water fills each one before I open the next.

My main concern is when to heat the water, do I heat it at the bottom or somewhere closer? Heating at the bottom would be the easiest and is necessary to add to the pressure. The problem is, will it retain enough heat by the time it reaches the surface or will it get cold?

My only real choice is to test it to find out and just keep adjusting it until it works. I also have to be careful that I don’t lose track of time, which is an issue in this form. I don’t want to give up any more time with the girls for this project than I have to.
