Ep. 1424 The Honeymoon Part 13

If it were a male spying on us, that would be a completely different story, I would kill them. I would also have a problem if it was a female other than Seronia and Krenocia. Special rules apply to the two of them, especially now that they are basically my wives.

The entire situation feels both complicated and yet simple at the same time. My feelings for them are pretty simple, but the situation with my wives is getting more complicated. Of course, that is to be expected since I basically added two more wives, but it hasn’t blown up, yet.

Or at least, it hasn’t when I have been around, I’m sure there has been some drama behind my back. I just can’t see any way they could all get along without there being at least a little drama. I would imagine that they are purposefully keeping it hidden from me, which I appreciate.

I honestly have more than enough to deal with without having to play peacekeeper. They look perfectly peaceful right now, sleeping all in a pile and hugging each other. Of course, the fact that they are all naked makes it an even better picture in my mind.

The crafting and enchanting are done and I realize I have been just staring at the girls for a while. I am tempted to climb into bed and wake them up, but that would probably be a bad idea. They would be mad at being woken for a second time and I would have to work hard to get them to forgive me.

It isn’t really worth it, I can just wait for them to wake up and then have some fun. Just as I am trying to think of what to do, I hear another blast of lightning go off. It is from the south side of the island again, so I fly over to see if more crabs are attacking.

However, when I get there I don’t find any more crabs, instead I find a croc-like thing. It took the hit from the lightning, but it is still alive and dragging a crab corpse into the water. It makes me realize that I was in such a rush to get back that I didn’t clean up the bodies.

I didn’t take them for food because of how burnt they are, but I shouldn’t have just left them here. I land and start throwing the corpses out, as far as I can, into the water. Just because I don’t want to eat them doesn’t mean that something else won’t want to.

In fact, not long after I start throwing corpses, there is a lot of splashing out there. There is a feeding frenzy going on, but it is far enough from the island that I’m not worried. The majority of the things can’t even come on land, so chances are that they won’t bother us.

Besides, with the amount of corpses that I am throwing out there, they should be able to eat their fill. Of course, that is assuming that something else doesn’t eat them first. From all the splashing, there is probably quite a bit of fighting going on.

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

However, I ignore the activity and just keep throwing corpses until there are none left. What happens out in the water has nothing to do with me as long as it stays off my island. Although, I could probably go kill a bunch of stuff for exp, but that doesn’t seem fair.

It is probably mostly normal sea creatures just trying to get a meal and survive. They probably wouldn’t be worth much exp, if any, and I would feel kind of bad for killing them. It would be a different story if they were trying to eat me, but they aren’t, so I don’t feel like killing them.

Instead, once I am done clearing the beach, I fly to another island to gather stone. I am going to need a lot to build the towers, once Lin helps me finish the design. I make several trips, better to have too much than to run out in the middle of the project.

Besides, if I get too much stone, I can just turn what’s left into more small obelisks. I end up taking so much stone that I am changing the shape of several islands. Luckily, they are just uninhabited hunks of rock so it won’t really affect anything.

The huge piles of stone kind of ruin the scenery on the island, but it is only temporary. Although, I should probably think of a way to disguise the towers so they don’t ruin the view. Maybe I can enchant the towers so that they are invisible unless they are activated.

If not true invisibility, I should at least be able to make them blend into the background. I will keep it in mind, but it is going to depend on how much mana capacity they end up having. The defenses are the main priority, I will have to see what is left after those are done.

I am going to turn this island into a fortress so that I don’t have to worry about it again. I want everyone who visits here to be safe enough to be able to truly relax while they are here. I thought that I did well enough the first time, but I didn’t account for small armies.

This time I am not going to leave anything to chance, there will be spells for any type of enemy. While I am at it, the defense against aerial enemies also needs to be improved. I do my best to plan everything out as I am flying back and forth gathering more stone.

By the time the sun comes up, I have the enchantments I want to use planned out. Now, all I need is for Lin to help me figure out the formation to use and I can start construction. Then the only problem will be finding the time to do the work without missing out on time with the girls.

I don’t want this project to disrupt the honeymoon in any way if I can help it, I can always finish it later. I won’t be able to completely relax if it isn’t done, but that shouldn’t affect the girls. I can’t count on being able to do it while they sleep, the trick I used last night won’t work again.

The girls will keep me from targeting Sero again, so I will need a new trick if I want to have a chance. Unfortunately, Nothing is coming to mind so far, but I have the rest of the day to think of something. In fact, I probably still have a few hours left before the girls start waking up.

However, I think I have more than enough stone for the number of towers I plan to build. I keep calling them towers, but they are just going to be a different kind of obelisk. Calling them towers just helps me to think of it like a tower defense game.

I am hoping that thinking this way will let me cover all of the possibilities and not miss anything. I need to plan for both strong single targets and numerous weaker targets. I think that the enchantments I have planned will do that, but I will have Lin double check.
