Chapter 1
Unconsciously Chisuke started speaking, "You betray me! You imprison me! Enslave my kin! Oh, foolish humans. Beg to your so-called gods my son is kind." Throughout the world, these few sentences were muttered by all vampires before turning to ash.
...
Fifty years ago, the Vampiric Crusade, wiped three of the four houses causing three-fourths of their population to dwindle. Alucard, the remaining house's sire, helped the humans kill her fellow kin. Having felt victory the human's greed fell upon her as well.
The cruelty of humans had no bounds; they didn't directly kill her off like the rest. Having known if they did all vampires would die. Instead, they imprisoned her and enslaved the rest.
Over the years empires prospered because of vampires. Having their immortal bodies meant they wouldn't die and made for the perfect slave. Now that they disappeared, many empires fell simply because their economy relied on them. All hell broke loose.
...
Being buried alive, Chisuke couldn't do anything. He remembered saying something strange before he passed out and a name suddenly came to mind.
Alucard.
”Boy, what did you do to me? What were you thinking?” Alucard questioned.
”I don't know what you’re talking about, can't I even think. Why am I even talking to you? I know who you are.”
”Do you now. Nothing but mindless sheep listening to unknown shepherds.”
”You killed your brethren for what? Power? That's just sad.”
”The victor decides what the truth is, and you lot swallow it like it's nothing.”
Chisuke had nothing else to do but listen, he didn't know why he was alive, but this was his life now. He couldn't do anything, so maybe having Alucard would keep him sane.
He listened to Alucard ramble on about the actual events that led to the Vampiric Crusade. Learning the only reason she joined hands with the humans was that her race was becoming parasitic and no longer could she watch as they wipe out everyone.

Together with the humans they wiped three of the four houses, along with them three-fourths of all vampires. Having tasted victory the humans didn't just stop there, they could easily have killed Alucard as well, but a man proposed they don’t kill her instead imprison her and enslaved the remaining vampires.
That man had convinced everyone that vampires were the ideal slave anyone could ask.
”Your nations were built on our backs; now I can laugh as I know for a fact, every power above us is suffering at the loss of there so called ideal slave.”
”Loss?” Chisuke questioned.
”I’m dead. As a result, my kin is wiped out. All but...Why is it that I'm still alive. Better yet, why are you? What did you do boy? I know my blood is running through your veins. Not like my progeny...”
”Blood? I have your blood? Is it because I drank it?” puzzlingly asked Chisuke.
”Tsk...If wasn't for that bastard djinn, I would have controlled you.”
”Controlled me? How? My body is my own.”
”Vampires are different only by drinking their sire’s blood would you lose the control of said sire. Although I don't think that would have worked. Your blood is mine so...To heal. That's why you're alive...We’re alive.”
”So you’re blood heals?”
”Not exactly. It most likely just sped up the process of you having my blood as a result. Regeneration.” concluded Alucard, “Judging from that, you wished to have my blood.”
“Wish? I only thought. Did it actually happen?”
“The djinn granted your wish.”
“Djinn? Why was such a thing here?”
“That bastard, ‘Mad Solar’,” Alucard seemed to have cringed for a bit and continued, “He built this so called impenetrable prison and put the djinn right in front of me saying all I had to do was reach the bottle to escape.”
“But if the djinn could grant a wish why didn’t it just escape if it’s that powerful.”
“The djinn was tricked as well; he used it solely to trap me. All he had to do was kill me with a drop of poison. He told the djinn if he killed me with poison as instructed he’d use the last wish to set him free.”
“Why didn’t he just let you touch the bottle?”
“It’s own power was its downfall. A djinn must grant a wish; it does anything until it does, laughed Alucard, "The poor bastard soon found out I couldn't die."
"Can't it easily kill you?"
"That's the best part. That bastard chose his wish carefully; the djinn must will me with poison. He tried many poisons, even ones I didn't know."
...
Years passed, any enmity towards each other passed. Alucard started calling him son, since vampires couldn’t have children yet Chisuke had her blood running in his veins.
Chisuke didn’t have a mother as she died giving birth to him. He wondered many things throughout the time. If his father was still alive; was he still running the armory? Did he find a new apprentice? Did he hand the shop over to said apprentice? Was the shop even still open since he remembered the capital in ruins.
Eventually, Chisuke lost count of the years. He started genuinely seeing Alucard as a mother figure since she would teach him life lessons and tell stories of her many years alive.
Alucard eventually realized Chisuke truly wasn’t a vampire. Although her blood ran through his veins, it didn’t mean he was undead like a true vampire. Chisuke was alive; life implied death.
