Chapter 274: Nothing That a Cheat Can’t Fix

Well, what could one say? Qian Ran was a walking cheat code.

Without unleashing the most potent hacks, life would have been a constant struggle—living in fear, endlessly grinding cultivation. If that were the case, he might as well have stayed on Earth, binge-watching videos and pying games.

But since he was now in a new world, why not go all out?

There was nothing a good cheat couldn’t solve.

While everyone else followed conventional training methods, Qian Ran was running on tech hacks. How could he not dominate?

“Five left,” Qian Ran said coldly, slowing his attacks deliberately. Ending things too quickly would be far too dull.

“Yu Mengdi, you and I will take the front! The rest, support us!” Ye Wuqing shouted, charging at Qian Ran. If they didn’t stop him soon, Qian Ran might pick them off one by one.

With two of their members already defeated in mere moments, Zheng Tian Academy was left with five fighters:

Shangguan Can: Level 46, auxiliary control spirit master with the Wailing Soul Bell.Yan’er: Level 46, fire-attribute long-range spirit master.Ye Wuqing: Level 58, assault-type spirit master and captain.Yu Mengdi: Level 55, assault-type battle spirit master with an angel spirit.Tang Xiaolei: Level 51, long-range assault spirit master wielding the Zihua Bow.Notably, Yu Mengdi, the second strongest Soul King after Ye Wuqing, also possessed an angel martial spirit.

Although she currently only had a two-winged angel, it was already an incredibly powerful martial spirit. If her cultivation reached seven rings, her wings would evolve into four, and at nine rings, as a Titled Douluo, she would possess six wings. With every additional pair, her martial spirit would undergo significant evolution.

At this moment, however, Yu Mengdi’s heart was pounding as she stared at the six-winged angel behind Qian Ran.

“The Six-Winged Angel still exists,” she murmured, her beautiful face full of shock. This martial spirit had been a symbol of dominance ten thousand years ago, ruling over the spirit master world since its inception.

It wasn’t just a martial spirit—it represented an entire sacred organization of spirit masters: the Spirit Hall.

Hearing Ye Wuqing’s urgent shout, Yu Mengdi snapped back to reality.

“So, this is his trump card—one of the most legendary martial spirits in history. But this is a new era! I don’t believe its dominance still holds sway,” she said, her expression firm as her spirit rings lit up.

With a powerful fp of her wings, Yu Mengdi accelerated, streaking toward Qian Ran like a golden comet. Simultaneously, Ye Wuqing fnked from the side to encircle him.

Yu Mengdi’s first spirit skill, Holy Twin Bdes, materialized twin golden swords. Her second spirit skill followed immediately, creating a glowing cross in the air. Her wings spread wide, radiating intense golden light into the cross.

A melodious, sacred hymn echoed from the cross, while dazzling holy energy surged toward Qian Ran.

Yu Mengdi’s angel martial spirit excelled at divine offense. Her attack, Holy Cross Ssh, not only boasted immense power but also inflicted continuous holy fme burns. Her martial spirit was especially effective against dark or evil-aligned entities.

Ye Wuqing attacked next, and his method was unexpected.

A leaf gripped between his fingers glowed as his second spirit ring lit up. He flung the golden leaf toward Qian Ran, where it exploded upon impact, creating a searing metallic storm. The golden fmes within the storm surged with destructive power, threatening to engulf Qian Ran.

Behind them, Tang Xiaolei drew her Zihua Bow, spirit rings forming glowing arrows on the string.

The other two, Yan’er and Shangguan Can, were also fully focused. Yan’er’s fire-aligned spirit released bzing fmes, while Shangguan Can activated her Wailing Soul Bell, amplifying its haunting resonance to disorient Qian Ran.

  “Too weak,” Qian Ran muttered.

His first spirit ring glowed, and a radiant Angelic Sword condensed in his hand.

Swinging it in a horizontal arc, he unleashed a golden sword light that shattered Yu Mengdi’s Holy Cross Ssh and obliterated Tang Xiaolei’s fearsome arrow.

  Boom!

The intense collision caused the entire stage to tremble.

The Angelic Sword’s divine light smmed against the protective barrier surrounding the stage. The energy shield dimmed, cracks spreading across its surface.

The 108 spirit masters responsible for maintaining the shield instinctively poured all their spirit energy into the metal columns linked to the barrier, stabilizing it just in time.

Yu Mengdi was horrified. Her Holy Cross Ssh seemed ughable compared to Qian Ran’s Angelic Sword. She realized that if that sword strike had nded on her, it could have sliced her in two.

Tang Xiaolei was equally stunned. His Zihua Bow, capable of firing five arrows with soul ring-level power, could even force Soul Emperors to evade. Yet Qian Ran had destroyed one of his arrows with a casual ssh?

Qian Ran smiled at Yu Mengdi and Tang Xiaolei before shifting his gaze to Ye Wuqing.

Ye Wuqing’s scalp tingled, and his fifth spirit ring, his strongest, fred to life. Golden leaves swirled around him in a protective cyclone.

“Team, what are you doing? Yan’er, suppress him from a distance! Shangguan Can, control him with your bell! Just half a second of control is enough for us to finish him off!” Ye Wuqing shouted.

Qian Ran’s sheer power terrified him. Despite his lower cultivation, Qian Ran’s combat ability was monstrous, surpassing even Soul Emperors.

As a Soul King with limited physical enhancements from his Golden Leaf martial spirit, Ye Wuqing knew he couldn’t withstand a direct hit from Qian Ran.

“Oh?” Qian Ran turned to Shangguan Can and Yan’er, a sinister smile on his lips.

His eyes gleamed, and Shangguan Can suddenly screamed in pain. Blood gushed from her eyes, ears, and nose as she colpsed, her face a ghastly mask of horror.

Meanwhile, Yan’er felt an overwhelming sense of dread. The temperature around her plummeted, a bone-chilling cold enveloping her. As a fire-aligned spirit master, she was acutely aware of how the extreme cold drained the ambient fire energy.

A pale blue light glowed from Qian Ran’s torso—his trunk bone, sourced from the Ice Empress. The feral aura of the Ice Empress spread across the arena, rapidly lowering the temperature.

Snow began to fall within the protective dome, bnketing the stage in an icy chill.

“Oops, I forgot to mention—I also have an Ultimate Ice martial spirit,” Qian Ran said nonchantly.

Although he could only use one martial spirit at a time, the Ice Empress’ 400,000-year trunk bone provided abilities he could wield freely.

Ye Wuqing and the others were stunned.

  “Dual martial spirits?”

Yan’er, meanwhile, was horrified to find herself unable to conjure even a small fireball.

For someone like Ma Xiaotao, nearly at the Soul Sage level, Qian Ran’s Eternal Freeze Domain was already challenging to endure. For Yan’er, a mere Soul Elder, it was a nightmare.

As the others watched Yan’er struggle to summon a pitiful spark, they couldn’t help but feel a mixture of fear and pity.

Compared to her predicament, their own situations suddenly seemed much less dire.
