"You and Wang Dong can perform a martial soul fusion?" Wang Yan asked in astonishment, looking at Huo Yuhao in the office.
“Yes. Since Wang Dong and I are both from the Clear Sky Cn, I thought it’d be best for us to share a dorm room,” Huo Yuhao replied, his tone earnest.
Wang Yan was amazed but somewhat perplexed.
A spiritual-type eye-based martial soul compatible with Wang Dong’s? Could the Spirit Eyes somehow connect to the Radiant Goddess Butterfly or Clear Sky Hammer? This fusion was truly remarkable. Given that they both hailed from the Clear Sky Cn, pairing Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao in the same room seemed ideal.
"Ms. Zhou Yi, what do you think?" Wang Yan asked, still seeking her input. In this css, Zhou Yi’s authority held significant weight, and she’d recently been promoted to senior teacher, further increasing her influence.
"You two can use a martial soul fusion?" Zhou Yi studied Huo Yuhao, surprised.
Did Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong have some sort of mysterious bond?
Her expression turned thoughtful.
Bebe with Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan, Dai Huabin with Zhu Lu, herself with Fan Yu, Xian Lin’er with Qian Duoduo...
Qian Ran, that rascal, certainly understood how to charm others.
Why was it that he was so attracted to flowers that weren’t his?
“Even if you two have a martial soul fusion, that doesn’t mean you need to be roommates. Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu can fuse their martial souls, and they don’t live together,” Zhou Yi said calmly. She knew Wang Dong’s secret—that she was a girl disguised as a boy—so there was no way she’d agree to Huo Yuhao’s request.
If she did, Qian Ran would certainly find a new way to tease her.
Her own back was still sore from earlier.
Qian Ran had insisted she keep his “gift” with her, and even though she’d gotten somewhat used to it, the odd sensation still lingered.
She’d also pnned to start regur dorm inspections soon.
If Wang Dong wasn’t sharing a room with Qian Ran, how could she spend time with him openly?
“But Zhu Lu is a girl, which is why she and Dai Huabin don’t share a room!” Huo Yuhao excimed, frustration edging into his voice. He’d expected his request to go smoothly; why was it so complicated?
Shouldn’t Zhou Yi have agreed without hesitation?
He’d always respected her. In his memory, Zhou Yi had been nothing but helpful.
“This only proves that having a martial soul fusion doesn’t mean you need to share a room,” Zhou Yi said. “Besides, Qian Ran and Wang Dong can also perform a martial soul fusion.”
“They can too?” Wang Yan’s surprise quickly turned to mild acceptance—this was Qian Ran, after all.
“Qian Ran’s Angel Martial Soul can fuse with Wang Dong’s Radiant Goddess Butterfly, and their power together is formidable,” Zhou Yi continued. Although Qian Ran and Wang Dong could fuse, the enhancement to Qian Ran wasn’t that significant, so he rarely relied on it. Instead, he simply helped Wang Dong’er train at night, which had led to rapid progress in her cultivation.
“What?”
“A martial soul fusion? Qian Ran’s martial soul is light-based?”
Huo Yuhao was stunned.
This was going too far.
He was completely outmatched.
“There’s no way. How could Qian Ran and Wang Dong also perform a martial soul fusion?” Huo Yuhao was beside himself. If Qian Ran could fuse with Wang Dong, then she might have already shared her secrets with him.
Qian Ran was practically infamous for his charm—Wang Dong living in the same room as him was practically inviting a wolf into the fold!
He’d already stolen Huo Yuhao’s opportunities and martial spirit, and now he was going after the girl he cared about too? This was beyond cruel.
"Isn’t it more fitting for Qian Ran and Wang Dong to have a martial soul fusion than you two?” Zhou Yi and Wang Yan both gnced at Huo Yuhao. Qian Ran and Wang Dong’s fusion made perfect sense, given their powerful light attributes.
"But..."
Huo Yuhao started to argue, but Zhou Yi’s face darkened.
“If you have this much energy, focus it on your training. You’re dismissed from the upcoming css outing. Instead, start running one thousand ps around the field for training,” Zhou Yi ordered coolly.
“What? Ms. Zhou Yi, I…” Huo Yuhao stammered, completely bewildered. He felt as though Zhou Yi’s attitude toward him was oddly cold.
"Start now. If I catch you scking off or running fewer ps, consider yourself expelled from my css,” Zhou Yi stated firmly. She used to carefully support promising students, as her css’s success rate in entering the inner court impacted her teaching evaluations and job title.
But now, Zhou Yi didn’t care as much. Her interest in teaching had waned, and with Qian Ran’s support, she no longer needed to achieve high scores. Who could compare to Qian Ran, anyway? With his help, even a future promotion to head teacher wasn’t out of reach.
“Yes, Ms. Zhou Yi. Right away,” Huo Yuhao said, resigned as he left the room.
One thousand ps? That would practically break his legs, and even with his martial soul, he wasn’t sure he could handle it.
“I’ll make sure you suffer,” Zhou Yi muttered coldly, her gaze icy. If he wanted to go up against Qian Ran, he wouldn’t have an easy time in her css. From now on, all the tedious tasks would fall to Huo Yuhao, and any resistance would only earn him harsher punishments.
She’d even heard the academy was considering some kind of “Extreme Soldier Pn.” Maybe she’d sign Huo Yuhao up for that.
Huo Yuhao’s talent as both a soul master and soul engineer made him a good candidate. He’d be pulled into all kinds of grueling training, with ample reasons to discipline him.
The more she thought about it, the more Zhou Yi liked the idea. Qian Ran would surely reward her for it.
He might even come by to “inspect” her sometime soon.
She could still remember the first time he’d removed that “gift” of his—the sound it made, like a cork popping from a wine bottle, had filled her with an odd blend of shame and thrill.
Huo Yuhao jogged around the track, feeling despair about his bleak future at Shrek Academy. He couldn’t understand why both Xian Lin’er and Zhou Yi seemed so hostile toward him.
“Well, well. Isn’t this Young Master Huo?” Qian Ran grinned, watching Huo Yuhao’s sweaty, miserable expression.
Qian Ran was holding an iced fruit drink, and Wang Dong’er was by his side.
Huo Yuhao’s anger fred at the sight of Qian Ran. But when he noticed Wang Dong’er, he froze and stumbled, nearly falling.
Dong’er?
Was that… his Dong’er?
Hadn’t she been posing as a boy? And yet, here she was, standing beside Qian Ran, her true identity revealed.
Wang Dong’er wore a delicate pink skirt, her pink-blue hair cascading down her back, and her matching eyes pure and captivating. Her entire appearance was ethereal, as though she were a fairy. She wore white thigh-high stockings, blending with her fair skin to create a dreamy, translucent effect.
Her petite waist curved gracefully, and her athletic figure was accentuated by the close-fitting outfit. Her belly button, exposed slightly by the short skirt, looked like a small gem inid there. Her blue top hugged her slender frame, her curves enchanting and impossible to ignore.
