VI: DISTURBANCE

Having just recently returned from her ‘secret meeting’ with Magnus back at the temple was Galactic Decider Anora.

Sporting her skin-tight black Galactic Decider’s Uniform with her platinum blonde hair running just a few inches down past her ears, the pale-skinned Intergalactic Warrior met with her fellow teammates.

“AH, ANORA, MY DEAR SISTER! Where have you been???” Tristen called out after noticing his ‘sibling’ enter the room at the top floor of the Nicholex Engineering Corporation (which provided ALL astro-vessels to the denizens of planet Voltaira).

“Grand greetings, Anora,” Draex nodded to his sister as he took a moment away from using his special power of creating ‘knives’ or other ‘bladed objects’ out of gravity, which he was throwing at a board in a game against Rayven, who chose to use Pulsar Daggers instead.

“Grand greetings to you as well, Draex.” Anora nodded back before she met with the rest of her team. “Grand greetings to you all. So, how has everyone been keeping since…”

“Where have you been,” Braako asked in a stern, angry tone whilst glaring at his Anora from the other side of the room.

Standing alongside him were Apollox and Medo, who both had equally irritated expressions on their dark-skinned faces.

Meeting eyes with Braako, Anora asked, “What?”

“Have you gone deaf in your extended absence, Sister?” Medo snottily asked.

Anora gave Medo a confused glance whilst brawny Apollox said with his arms crossed over his bulging chest, “He asked you where you have been, Anora… ANSWER HIM.”

Not wanting to tell everyone the truth about how she secretly broke into Magnus’s Private Chambers back at the Temple, Anora chose instead to ‘half-lie’, “I… was off… elsewhere.”

“Elsewhere?” Braako asked in a mocking tone which garnered a glare from Anora.

“Yes, Braako,” Anora replied in a stern tone. “ELSEWHERE.”

  “And where be that exactly?”

“Tis none of your business… Tis none of anyone’s business within this room.”

Locking eyes with hot-headed Braako again, Anora stated, “And I do not have to answer to you, Braako. You are not the ‘Commanding-Leader’...”

“Tuh-Tis Muh-Magnus,” Xan fumbled out which garnered a grin from Anora and glare from Braako, Apollox, Medo, and even Rayven.

Sensing the tensions beginning to rise between his fellow Galactic Deciders, Tristen stumbled forth bearing a goblet of the finest ale on all of Voltaira in his right hand.

“SIBLINGS, SIBLINGS! PLEASE!!! Let us not ‘quarrel’ with one another,” Tristen drunkenly tried to reason whilst the other rolled their eyes at him and his ‘carefreeness’. “Tis a ‘celebration’, yes??? LET US THRACKING CELEBRATE!!!”

As Tristen rallied in the ‘celebration’ by chugging down the rest of the ale that resided inside of his own goblet, Braako looked to Anora and asked, “So, I assume that you have heard the news?”

“What news?” Anora asked with her brow scrunched.

“About Magnus,” Kai said from off to the side whilst leaning against a pillar. “During his Processing a ‘confliction’ was discovered.”

Anora’s eyes widened in worry even though she already knew about this.

“A confliction… OF EMOTION,” Apollox hissed. “Urgh… The skogger. He’s supposed to be our leader??? What kind of a ‘leader’ can’t keep his emotional level stabilized???”

“Tuh-Tis not true, Ah-Ah-Apollox,” Xan shockingly defended.

Glaring at the ‘runt’ of the team, Apollox snapped, “Silence, thracker! Your word is the equivalent to a pile of fresh raxx!”

Braako and Medo both snickered now as Xan hung his head in embarrassment.

Kai strode over to him in console as Anora snapped off at Braako, Medo, and Apollox, “Let him be, you three!”

“Let him be?” Apollox mocked. “Mind your place, Anora.”

“Come now, Apollox. Do not ‘fault’ Sister Anora,” Medo said with a sneer. “She might run off and tell Magnus about how ‘disrespectful’ you are currently being. Heh, heh, heh…”

Apollox chuckled now as Braako looked at Anora and asked, “Is that what you are going to do, Sister? Are you going to ‘run off’ back to that emotionally weak skogger and tell him about how we are all being so ‘disrespectful’ and ‘slanderous’?”

Realizing that Braako was trying to goad her into breaking away from her emotional baseline, Anora took the higher road and said nothing.

This made Braako upset because he wanted to get a rise out of her, which he failed to achieve.

Before anyone could utter another word an alarm suddenly sounded off.

‘Twas Voltair City’s Planet-Wide Alarm system that was only activated during the DIREST of circumstances.

“The Crisis Beacon,” Draex gasped after he had landed a perfect shot with one of his Gravity Knives.

“There must be a disturbance,” Kai stated after pulling away from a still hurt Xan.

“But what could it be?” Medo asked.

“THE KREN,” Apollox snarled whilst lowering his brow.

With an angry expression still on his face, Braako shouted, “GALACTIC DECIDERS… WITH ME! Let us see what this ‘disturbance’ is!”

As everyone followed Braako’s command and left with him out of the room, Anora stayed behind for a moment.

Walking up to a long stretch of Windows, Anora peered out of them to see several Voltairan Astro-Fighters, Gunships, Mechs, and several other military aerial and land vehicles that were all heading towards one location… THE GRAND GALACTIC DECIDING TEMPLE!
