I had barely made it halfway back to the castle when Usaki rushed up to me in a panic. Tristy and I instantly tensed and scanned our surroundings. “Nya! What's wrong!” I asked worriedly. My tail lashed back and forth rapidly.
Usaki began to shift and a moment later she was in her naked Foxkin form. “Nya! Saki said no nakedness!” I snapped at her. I formed a pretty yellow water dress over Usaki.
She paused, looked down at the dress in surprise, then smiled, giggled and twirled in it. After a moment she seemed to come to herself and grabbed my hands. “Tama, you need to take back control quickly! If you don't, my mind will be erased and mind controlled!"
“Mistress Tama can do as she pleases!” Tristy snapped at Usaki. She summoned fire in her hands and glared at Usaki. I sighed quietly and smacked Tristy upside her head like Sensei used to do to me.
“Tristy does not attack friends!” I said angrily before turning back to Usaki. “Tama accepts being Queen again?” I asked in uncertainty. After a moment nothing happened and Usaki was looking more panicked.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the castle. After a few steps she paused and turned back to me. “Wait a second, you can blink Tama! Please blink to the throne and sit back down! Hurry!”
I frowned, but blinked over to the gate and waited for the guards to open it. “Are you serious! We are in a hurry!” Tristy said in an angry voice. She summoned a fireball and lobbed it at the gate.
I blinked over, and took the fireball head on. It hurt, but I was already regenerating and my water dress was reforming within seconds. I blinked back over to Tristy and smacked her, hard. “Nya! Do not hurt innocents!”
Tristy held her cheek and tears streamed down her cheeks. “Yes Mistress Tama, I am sorry! It will not happen again!” She cowered and her elven ears drooped.
I smiled and nodded. “Nya! Now go run around the city fifty times. Then do three hundred pushups. Tama expects you back by tonight.” Tristy nodded obediently, turned and ran down the central street towards the front gates.
I turned back around right as the gate finally opened enough for me to get through. I blinked through the hole and straight to both doors. Making sure to open them quickly and into the foyer, then the throne room.
Saki was sitting on the throne, General Tully, Kita, Parsnip, and a dozen other people I didn’t recognize were there. “Oh Tama! You gotta hear what Rodrick can do with his…” Sabi came from behind giggling as she turned to face me, then noticed the room. “Oh, who died and made Saki Queen?”
I frowned but before I could speak, she continued. “Either way, get this! Rodrick has this cool skill that lets him literally force you to obey. But like, unlike yours, he does this cool trick where it forces fear in obedience rather than reverence!”
“Right.. This is kind of important Sabi, can we discuss your.. Intimacy later..” Saki said calmly as she slowly stood and stepped to the right of the throne. “For now, Tama, please take a seat, we have some… decisions to make.”
“Nya!” I said as I blinked to the throne and sat down. The blue box popped up with new words and it wouldn’t let me close it until I clicked one of the two buttons. I looked at Saki helplessly. She frowned, then walked over and took my hand.
“Describe the symbols Tama.” She said with a sigh. It took us around an hour, but we finally understood the strange thingy was asking the following.
“Say yes” was all Saki said. I nodded and it disappeared, I was finally able to close the blue box. “Now then.” Saki started and she turned to face the crowd of fancy dressed people. “We have all been brought here today to…”
She was suddenly cut off and two Wolfkin girls, around 18 or so, rushed into the room and to the only wolfkin man in the room. “Father! Xan is taking Tina and us to Rojier! We are going!” The first girl said aggressively.
“If.. if that is alright with you father..” The second girl said nervously as she looked at the ground. The wolfkin looked horrified.
He quickly turned to me and bowed. “I am terribly sorry your Majesty! My daughters, they are..” He trailed off as if trying to find words.
I stood and pointed at the wolfkin girls. Everyone in the room suddenly went super tense for some reason. “Tama loves Xan! He is super cool! Has he captured Crivar yet?”
The second girl seemed to notice me, she instantly dropped to her knees and slammed her head into the carpeted floor. “I am horribly sorry your Majesty! I did not realize!” That's when the first girl noticed me.
She visibly paled, then slowly got down on her knees and bowed her head to the floor. “I beg forgiveness, your highness.” I frowned and opened my mouth to speak, but Saki stepped forward and I went quiet.
“Ah yes, you must be.. Saki paused for a moment before snapping her fingers “Lexis and Petal! I believe Lyran mentioned meeting the two of you.”
She pointed at the one with silver hair with a red streak in it. “You are Lexis, forward, brash, and quite straightforward.” Lexis stiffened at that, but kept her head down.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Saki continued uncaring. She pointed at the other wolfkin girl with the same hair color, but it had a blue streak through it. “You, you are Petal. Apparently you are fearsome in battle and, based on Xan's admission, quite… persuasive in the sheets.”
Petal visibly shuddered and quickly looked up in horror. “That is.. I mean..” After a moment she began to cry and slammed her head back into the carpet.
“Tama is very good in sheets! She especially likes to roll around in them!” I added helpfully. The room went dead silent, aside from Petal’s crying.
Saki’s face had turned red and she was holding back laughter. “Indeed you are Queen Tamaneko, but as much as I am sure everyone here would live to hear in intimate detail your.. Proclivites. I suggest we get back on topic,”
She turned to the wolfkin man and smiled kindly. “I am terribly sorry, but I need you to ask your daughters to wait outside during this meeting.” I turned to see Parsnip also holding back laughter, when I looked at him though he quickly forced himself into a calm state. He was still shaking slightly and his eyes showed laughter.
The wolfkin man nodded and bowed deeply. “Of course Royal advisor, I once again deeply apologize!” He then grabbed both girls by the scruffs of their necks and walked them out of the room.
He came back a few minutes later, bowed, and took his place. He looked pale still and he was sweating.
Saki once again stepped forward and pulled out a piece of paper. I hated paper, but Saki handed it to me. “Queen Tamaneko, this is the…” I glared at her. She looked uncertain for a long moment, then sighed. “Tama, this is a form that shows the districts of the city.”
I nodded and looked at the map of the city with the different colors spots. It had words, but I couldn’t read them. Saki stepped forward. “As I am sure you are all aware, there has been a plague. Recently, a cure has been found. Due to the time, cost, and prerequisites of using the cure however, we are limited in how fast we can.. Administer it.”
I froze at that and looked up at Saki. Saki swallowed and continued. “Now, of the 5 districts, three of them are in danger and will lose many lives if we do not hurry. So, for our first order of business at this meeting, we will discuss the order in which these 3 areas will be administered.”
The room was dead silent and I was shaking. “Tama can save them all!” I said as I stood and threw the paper down. Saki turned to me and smiled sadly.
But she said nothing to me, instead she turned to the other nobles. “We will be putting it to a vote, the Queen will be sitting out this specific vote. If anyone has any questions before we start, I ask you speak them now, rather than later.”
My vision began to grow red and I blinked over to Saki and grabbed her. “Nya! Tama can save everyone!” I repeated clearly while looking in her eyes. Saki looked away for a moment, then looked back into my eyes.
“Tama… you can’t. We have been together a long time, I know how strong you are, but you can’t do this. I’m… I’m sorry… You need to sit this one out for the sake of your people…” Saki said as she swallowed. I saw tears in her eyes and she wiped them away and shook her head.
“Please.. Sit back down.” She said finally as she turned back to the nobles. “I will explain later why this is a vote.”
Slowly, I let go and took a step back. She wasn’t listening… she wasn’t listening again! My vision got redder and I closed my eyes. “No… Tama is sorry, Saki.” I said as I opened my eyes and looked back at her.
“Tama can save them all, and Saki needs to trust Tama! Tama has a plan!” I said as calmly as I could. Saki opened her mouth to speak, but I did something I never thought I would do.
I cut her off. “Nya! Tama is Queen, Tama decides! And Tama says we save them all!” I said loudly as I stood tall and looked around the room.
Everyone looked uncertain and nervous. I turned to Sabi who was quietly humming to herself by the throne. “Sabi! Bring Tama Xan’s golem tablet!” Sabi giggled, nodded and rushed out of the room.
I blinked over to the throne and stood on the steps in front of it. “Tama will save everyone, if you don’t believe Tama can do it, then go away!” Silence filled the room, but no one moved. Not even Saki. She looked at me, then at the door, then quietly walked over and stood next to the throne.
She wouldn’t make eye contact, but she stayed there. Sabi came back in with the tablet a moment later and handed it to me. I handed it to Saki. “Saki, bring a golem here.” I said simply.
Saki frowned but nodded and began tapping. A few minutes later three golems entered the throne room and walked up to the throne. They took a knee. I turned to Sabi and smiled. “Nya! Give them the cure!”
Sabi grinned widely and nodded before turning into her water form and entering the first golem. She then jumped to the second, then the third. Finally, she jumped out and shifted back to her Sabi form.
“They are now immune, your Majesty!” She said in amusement. She skipped back over to me and leaned against the throne.
I turned to Saki, she was looking at the golems and frowning. “Okay, but how does making golems immune to the plague exactly help? Maybe if we had enough cure to…” I held up a hand and she stopped, but a hopeful look entered her eyes.
“Nya! Make them turn to dust clouds and flood the room!” I ordered. Saki looked at me utterly perplexed, but nodded and a moment later all three golems became dust clouds. All the nobles coughed and inhaled the dust. After a moment, they reformed.
“Nya! Now all the people in here are immune!” I said cheerily. Saki was staring in open mouth awe. She looked between the golems and me. After a moment, she began to sob and nodded at me.
The Nobles all clapped at me for some reason. Except Parsnip, he just shrugged. “I would expect nothing less from her Majesty. Basic competence for a Tamaneko.” Saki looked over at him in puzzlement.
“What?! What are you talking about! Your Queen just solved a plague and no one else has to die!” She looked perturbed.
Parsnip looked between us and snorted. “Clearly you don’t know your lineage that well. Your grandmother, Alexa Tamaneko fought alongside the Hero’s party as they defeated the Demon Queens armies! Her mother single handedly formed and started the adventurers guild. Her mother before was the impetus for the Rojier Kingdom and the original alliance between the countries!”
I stared in open mouth shock and amazement. He continued to be amused for some reason. “Suffice to say, stopping a plague is the least I can expect from a Tamaneko queen. If anything, it feels too…” He trailed off after a second before finishing. “Simple.”
Saki looked uncomfortable. “Yes, I have heard of Tama’s ancestry and their deeds. But that doesn’t mean what Tama did isn’t amazing in its own right!” She snapped. Her tail lashed and her eyes shifted purple.
Parsnip just smirked and harumphed. “Yes, quite, I am sure it is on par from literally two days ago where she killed an ancient green dragon, opened the Caldera to the outside world, and did this all right before her coronation where she was gifted an army of half sentient golems. Please, do not take me for a fool.”
Saki looked around the room. She seemed uncertain of what to say. “Nya! Tama thinks we should get the golems ready!” I said excitedly. Saki deflated and giggled.
“You are of course correct Queen Tama, I will handle it at once.” With that, she turned and left the room. The moment she was gone, I turned to Parsnip.
“Tama has a job for Parsnip.” I said with a smile.
“It’s Persip… Queen Tamaneko.” He said weakly. My smile widened.
