Chapter 143: A Second Chance

  Tama

I blinked to the roof and threw a water dagger at Corsis, he banked left and avoided the dagger. “Tama will kill you!” I screeched at him as I began blinking as fast as I could towards him.

I managed to get close enough to stab Serenity into his back. Holding on tight, I started summoning water daggers, but Corsis shook and I almost lost my grip.

Instead, I pulled myself to Serenity and held on as I began to shoot water chains to wrap around his body. I managed to get a wing under control and Corsis began to twist right as his right wing was held down by my water chains.

Then Crivar appeared in front of me. Before I could do so much as shift he punched me in the face and I was thrown back. Crivar pulled Serenity out and spit on her.

My vision turned red. He threw Serenity off Corsis and smirked at me before vanishing. Crivar was gone and Corsis was going to be much harder to kill without Serenity.

After a moment, “Screw you Corsis!” I screamed over the sound of the wind blasting by us and jumped. Due to his speed, he quickly left me behind and I pulled myself into a ball before plummeting.

Counting down from five, I unfurled and looked where I was. I blinked up a few feet and looked for Serenity. But the city was so big..

I closed my eyes and searched for her connection. I latched on quickly to the tether that held us together. Opening my eyes, I blinked toward her. I landed on a rooftop and all around me were lots of roofs all around me for miles in every direction. In the distance, the city walls looming over everything.

I looked back down to Serenity to find a young boy trying to pull Serenity out of the rooftop. She didn’t move of course, she only moved for me. I was about to blink over and take her. But I paused and just watched for a moment.

The boy looked… unhealthy. He was thin and he kept coughing up bits of blood. There was silver stuff in the blood. Was blood supposed to sparkle? My blood had never sparkled…

I blinked over to him. He noticed me and tried to run. I blinked in front of him and he fell backwards. He looked terrified of me. “I didn’t mean to take it, miss! I swear! I was just.. It looked like it was worth something and I needed the gold!”

I blinked, not my skill, my eyes, at him. After a moment, I pulled out my gold and grabbed a handful before giving it to him. “Here, Tama still has lots from her hunt of the gryphons!” I said happily.

The boys eyes went round and he looked hesitant. But after a moment he grabbed the gold from my hands and ran to the edge of the building. I let him go and instead walked over to Serenity.

As I grabbed her, I coughed and noticed my blood sparkled now too. It was kind of a dull silver sparkle though. Pulling Serenity out, I put her back in her sheath and decided I needed to find Saki.

I wanted to know why my blood sparkled. I jumped and blinked towards the Castle, Saki would most likely be there. Actually.. I reconsidered and started heading to the main street. She was most likely either at that place

I had been walking back. I could trace back. I found her still at the warehouse. “Nya! Tama has sparkly blood!” I said as I blinked next to her. Saki paled and took a step back.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

“You.. have sparkly blood? Like.. silver and red mixed?” Saki asked, her voice shaking. She seemed both horrified and enraged. “Where did you go! You just disappeared and now.. And..” Saki grabbed her head and years ran down her cheeks.

She turned to Lyran. “New plan, no more losses. Find a cure, NOW!”

“I can help!” Anna said as she suddenly appeared next to us. She had moved through the grate as her water form. I had noticed her down there when I got back, but didn’t want to talk to her.

“Tama doesn’t need Anna’s help! Tama is fine!” I snapped at her angrily. Anna just giggled at me and looked at Saki.

“Would you like to tell her what that silvery stuff is Saki? I can cure it, you know I am able…” Anna said leadingly, ignoring me.

“How do I know that Anna?” Saki said confidently. Though, her lips quivered and her tail was tucked between her legs. She looked like she was barely holding back tears. “You could be lying again.”

Anna looked offended. “I have never lied! I might have extended the truth a little, but never lied! My violation was boundary crossing as I promised never again for her!” Saki purses her lips as she seems lost in thought for a moment.

As much as I hated to admit it, Anna had never actually lied from my perspective. She had crossed boundaries, but never lied. After a moment Saki swallowed before looking directly at Anna. “Can you actually cure her, 100%?”

Anna’s smile widened and she nodded. “Of course I can, In fact, I can cure everyone. I already know the antidote, it's clearly a magical disease created by..” She trailed off and winked at Saki.

Saki clenched her teeth. “What do you want, Anna.” Her tail was rigid and she wasn’t even trying to hide her disgust.

Anna snapped back instantly. “You know what I want! I want my role back as Tama’s clothing, as her favorite pet!” She stomped her bare foot on the grating. It turned to water, then reformed as it came back up. She glared at Saki for a moment before her smile returned.

After a moment Anna sighed. “Look, I am not asking for permanency, I just want a month or two. Give me that, and I will cure Tama and everyone else.” Saki looked extremely uncomfortable. After a moment she spoke quietly. “I can’t decide for Tama, but I will talk to her about it. Fair?”

Anna’s smile went wide and she nodded before turning to me. “See Tama! Saki, your royal advisor agrees that you should let me be your clothing again. To be your servant once more! In return, I can cure you of the sparkly blood!”

I frowned and looked at Saki, she wouldn’t make eye contact with me. I looked to Lyran, but he coughed and looked at his tablet. I looked back to Anna who was smiling super sweetly at me. “Please Tama, just one more chance. I swear, never again. I will be the perfect pet.”

She sounded so.. Desperate. Like she needed this more than anything. “Tama does not like what you did!” I snapped at her and she winced. After a moment I continued. “But Saki thinks sparkly blood is bad.. And Tama will give one more chance. But not as Tama’s gi! Tama has new clothes she made.”

Anna’s eyes lit up and she nodded vigorously. I considered for a moment before I had an idea. “Anna can be Tama’s underwear!” Anna fell to her knees and made a weird squealing motion. After a moment she stood back up and bowed her head.

“I, of course, am happy to be.. Of service…” She was shaking for some reason and.. Was that drool?! Also.. Was.. was she out of breath?! Ann instantly attached to me, shifting into a purple bra and panties. At least they were comfortable, unlike the ones Saki tried to get me to wear.

Silence filled the room for a moment, other than Anna giggling madly as she caused my underwear to vibrate. It felt really good and really weird.

Then she suddenly entered my body. I tensed, but she didn’t try anything. Instead, she moved herself through my veins. It.. hurt and felt cooling at the same time. Then she came back out and reformed as my underwear. “All done!” She said in my head. “You are completely clean of the plague!”

I shivered.. That had felt so weird and so good. “Tama felt weird, but Anna says Tama is clean!”

Saki fell to her knees and looked utterly relieved. “Oh thank Earth.” After a moment, she collected herself and stood back up. “Anna.. you said you could cure everyone. This city is massive, you can’t honestly expect to go through every single person like that.”

Anna giggled and spoke without leaving my body. “I don’t need to, I just need to make sure.. Thoroughly.. That Tama was cured.. Yea.” Saki looked unconvinced but she seemed to decide against commenting.

“Then.. out with it!” She snapped. Anna giggled again and I suddenly felt like I peed myself. The water came together and left, they went down my leg and formed into a ball that floated over to Saki.

“Just reverse this, make a lot of it, and give it out to the infected!” Anna said cheerfully as she continued to spin on me.
