Silence Above the Star

  The star floated in a sea of golden cosmic clouds.

  Everything was quiet.

  Leon, Liu, and Lara stood facing the Goddess Lara, whose wings remained open like radiant blades of light.

  The divine aura surrounding her made the very air tremble.

  For a moment, no one spoke.

  The silence itself felt heavy.

  Lara’s Disappointment

  Lara finally stepped forward.

  Tears ran down her face, but anger burned in her eyes.

  “I spent my whole life honoring you.”

  “My name was given in tribute to you. My mother respected you. Our people believed in you.”

  Her voice trembled.

  “And now I discover that everything was a lie.”

  “You deceived my people.”

  The Goddess Lara looked down at her without emotion.

  “I did not deceive anyone.”

  “I protected them.”

  Her golden wings shifted slightly.

  “Without me, your people would have been destroyed by the Krizardians… or enslaved by them.”

  A Debate of Faith

  Leon stepped forward.

  His voice was calm but firm.

  “But you knew Jesus.”

  “You saw what He did. He helped free Lim from Kairos.”

  For the first time, the goddess’ aura flickered.

  Her fists clenched.

  “And what did that accomplish?” she snapped.

  “I lost Lim.”

  “I was left alone.”

  “And your Jesus did nothing to stop the wars that followed.”

  Her eyes hardened.

  “These Krizardians are born for conquest and bloodshed.”

  Leon’s expression darkened.

  “Then show me how you are different from them.”

  The goddess stared at him, fury rising in her gaze.

  “You did not live through what I did.”

  “You did not witness centuries of horror.”

  “I understand how the Creator must feel when He looks at His creation… and wishes to erase it.”

  Liu’s Question

  Liu crossed his arms.

  “So you claim to know the Creator?”

  “Or have you only read about Him in your records?”

  The goddess looked at him coldly.

  “I possess records of countless civilizations.”

  “I shaped many of them.”

  “And destroyed others.”

  “If I had not done so, the universe would have collapsed long ago.”

  Her eyes glowed faintly.

  “Someone had to take control.”

  “And your Jesus…”

  “…turned His back.”

  Leon’s Hope

  Leon lowered his head for a moment.

  Then he spoke softly.

  “He didn’t turn His back.”

  “He called me.”

  The wind stirred around him.

  “His way is slower.”

  “Because it requires something harder than power.”

  He looked directly into the goddess’ eyes.

  “Dialogue.”

  “Understanding.”

  “Love.”

  The goddess laughed bitterly.

  “That does not exist.”

  But Lara stepped forward again.

  “Yes, it does.”

  Her voice was steady.

  “And you prove it.”

  The goddess’ expression faltered.

  “You still search for Lim… because you love him.”

  The Challenge

  “I have found him many times,” the goddess said quietly.

  “But every time, your Jesus raised someone to fight for His justice.”

  Her voice hardened again.

  “They all failed.”

  “They all fell to corruption.”

  “Even He no longer believes in this foolish hope.”

  Leon raised his head.

  “You’re wrong.”

  His wings spread slowly behind him.

  “He believes in me.”

  “And I will stop you.”

  He glanced at Liu and Lara.

  “Not alone.”

  “Mas juntos.”

  Atrás deles, Liu suspirou dramaticamente.

  “Bem… acho que vou dar apoio.”

  Leon olhou diretamente para ela.

  "Eu vou destruir o ódio que existe neste universo."

  A camera do cosmos recuou.

  De um lado estava a radiante Deusa Lara, rodeada por uma luz dourada divina.

  De um lado estavam Leon, Lara e Liu — unidos.

  O ar vibrava com a promessa de batalha.

  A escurid?o lentamente tomou conta do céu.
