  The First Line

  On a frozen battlefield far from the capital, Krizardian warships descended through the clouds.

  Their engines melted the snow beneath them as they slammed into the icy ground.

  The landing gates opened.

  Rows of Krizardian warriors stepped out, weapons ready. At the front marched Iris and Sol of the Fire Division.

  Across the horizon, the enemy appeared.

  Hundreds of Spilrian androids advanced in perfect formation, their red eyes glowing in the white storm.

  A metallic voice echoed across the battlefield.

  “Target identified. Eliminate.”

  Iris burst into laughter.

  “Good. Let’s see if metal can feel pain.”

  Flames erupted from his hands.

  A torrent of fire tore across the battlefield, incinerating dozens of androids in a single strike. Explosions scattered burning metal across the snow.

  Clash of Steel and Fire

  The battlefield erupted into chaos.

  Sol spun his flaming blade in a wide arc, slicing through a squad of androids before their weapons could even fire.

  Krizardians of the Wind Division moved like blurs across the snow, led by Vitor. Their speed was so extreme that the android soldiers simply collapsed into pieces before realizing they had been struck.

  Terrisa and Terei of the Earth Division stormed forward through the chaos.

  “Let’s tear this city apart!” Terrisa roared.

  The ground obeyed her command.

  Massive pillars of stone erupted from the earth, skewering lines of androids and shattering defensive barricades.

  Blue force fields flickered as the androids attempted to resist.

  The earth crushed them anyway.

  Element Against Machine

  Elsewhere in the city ruins, Agus of the Water Division encountered a specialized android unit.

  Their weapons glowed with freezing energy.

  “Your weakness is predictable,” the android captain said. “Freezing water is simple.”

  Agus laughed.

  “And who told you I only control liquid water?”

  He raised both arms.

  Moisture gathered from the air itself.
