Episode 14 – “Coincidence or Purpose?”
Opening
Sometimes, what seems like coincidence is nothing more than a plan slowly taking shape.
Time does not make mistakes.
True connections always reveal themselves—
even when everything appears to be falling apart.
K11 – The Clearing
Leon slowly opens his eyes.
His vision is blurry at first. Above him, an unfamiliar sky tinted green and violet shifts with moving clouds. A dull ache spreads through his body as he exhales deeply.
He turns his head.
Lara is sitting nearby, watching him quietly.
“Where… am I?” Leon asks, his voice dry.
“Still on K11,” Lara replies calmly. “The capsule didn’t survive the crash. We’re stuck here for now.”
Leon swallows.
“And Liu… is he okay?”
“He’s recovering,” she answers. Then her tone changes slightly. “But you… you were unconscious for hours. Leon… what are you?”
Leon looks away. His eyes fix on his hands.
“I don’t really know,” he admits. “All I know is that this thing inside me… it’s dangerous. They told me it was just power.”

Lara studies him carefully.
“It didn’t feel like power,” she says. “It felt like pain.”
Leon closes his eyes.
“Kairós said my time would come. That pain would become a weapon.”
For a brief moment, a faint yellow light flickers in his eyes—then vanishes.
A Shared Discovery
The sun begins to set, painting the ruins around them in shades of red and gold.
Lara breaks the silence.
“How old are you?”
“Seventeen,” Leon replies. “I turn eighteen tomorrow.”
Lara freezes.
“…Tomorrow?”
Leon looks at her, confused.
Lara lets out a small, disbelieving laugh. “Me too. Tomorrow is my birthday.”
Leon blinks.
“On a dead planet… after almost dying… we find that out?”
Lara smiles softly. “That’s either way too much coincidence…”
“…or way too much purpose,” Leon finishes.
They both laugh quietly.
The Fire Between Them
Later that night, they build a small fire using broken metal and fallen branches. The flames flicker warmly beneath a sky filled with unfamiliar stars.
Leon stares into the fire.
“For the first time,” he says slowly, “I’m not with my parents. Not with anyone. And somehow… I don’t feel completely alone.”
Lara hugs her knees closer.
“Neither do I,” she admits. “This moment feels… real.”
Leon glances at her.
“You know how to smile.”
She smiles back. “And you know how to listen.”
The camera of fate seems to circle them—two souls connected by something neither fully understands yet.
A Warning in the Sky
A sudden gust of wind weakens the fire.
Leon stiffens.
“Did you feel that?”
Lara stands. “Something’s coming.”
High above, almost invisible, a camouflaged Xprian reconnaissance drone glides silently across the sky.
Leon clenches his fists.
“They came to finish the job.”
Lara’s eyes harden. “Then let’s show them they made a mistake leaving us alive.”
Elsewhere – Laura’s Discovery
On the Xprian homeworld, Laura walks through the command center, reviewing mission data on floating holograms.
“Mission complete,” she says absently. “Now I need to check the secondary capsule reports—”
She stops.
Her eyes widen.
“…Where is the secondary capsule?” she whispers.
She types rapidly. No signal. No coordinates.
“And… where is my daughter?”
The tension in the room sharpens instantly.
Ending
Back on K11, Leon and Lara gaze at the sky.
Elsewhere, Liu awakens with alarm in his eyes.
Laura runs through the corridors of the base.
A hidden drone transmits images of Leon and Lara to an unknown recipient.
In a dark chamber filled with red-lit screens, a robotic voice echoes:
“Target confirmed. The bearer of the ancestral seal is alive.”
One screen freezes on Leon’s transformation.
To be continued…
