The Seed of Suspicion and Urgent Action

  Taylin Mountain

Hei Shu Yi, passing through the Yingtian Clan and the Hegong Clan, had arrived directly at Taylin Mountain. She had come here for a very important task: to observe the Moonlight Grass, for this was no ordinary grass; it was the same grass for which the sacred fireflies made their pilgrimage. And for this reason, Hei Shu Yi had come here today. But she was not alone; Master Suo Jing was also behind her.

After walking for a while, Master Suo Jing was immersed in deep questions. His pace had slowed down. There was no doubt that he was worried about something. Hei Shu Yi sensed this silence. It was then that she spoke:

"Master, what is the matter? What are you so concerned about?"

Hearing this question from Hei Shu Yi, Master Suo Jing looked at Hei Shu Yi once, then went and sat down in the shade of a tree. Hei Shu Yi knew that the atmosphere, though quiet, was not peaceful. Something was unknowingly taking shape.

She too moved forward and sat down in front of the Master.

Then Master Suo Jing answered her question, but his eyes, voice, and demeanor all felt like a heavy burden.

"Hei Shu Yi, I have made every possible attempt to find Lao Xuan, but I haven't been able to locate him. But if this is truly a scheme of his, then... then this is not right. Only one person had seen him, and that was Han Juan Hao. But even he was killed by Xian Yong Ming. Hei Shu Yi, the flower that blooms quietly hidden in a calm environment is also the most poisonous."

Hei Shu Yi's brows furrowed in worry. She asked, "Master, what do you mean by this? Is there something you know?"

Taking a deep breath, Master Suo Jing replied, "No, I don't know anything, but I certainly have a premonition about something. Just think, Hei Shu Yi, Han Lao Fang could have killed Xian Yong Ming on the very day he was summoned to the Han Clan, but he didn't. Even though Xian Yong Ming is a great scholar, Han Lao Fang also possesses the greatest power system, so why didn't he kill him? Especially when Xian Yong Ming murdered his parents."

Master Suo Jing became more troubled and serious:

"One way or another, Hei Shu Yi, Han Lao Fang is definitely hiding something from the world. Because despite the cultivation path being under his authority, he never launched it. I am convinced that Han Lao Fang is hiding something."

Hei Shu Yi's heartbeat quickened. She kept listening to everything with startled eyes. Before, only Master Suo Jing was troubled, but after listening and understanding his words carefully, she too was forced to contemplate the matter.

Everything began to dawn on her to some extent. She stood up, her eyes lost in thought. Her mind was racing:

"The Master is right. When Clan Head Han Lao Fang knew that Master Xian Yong Ming was returning, why didn't he attack? When he knew that the Lian Qingxue Clan was being restored, why didn't he attack? When Master Xian Yong Ming was seen alone here so many times, when he killed so many people, why did Han Lao Fang not take any action then?"

This thought tore at her heart. Her sixth sense screamed that something very wrong was happening. Then she looked towards Master Suo Jing and said nervously:

"Master, you need to go to the Han Clan right now, this very moment, and I need to go somewhere."

Master Suo Jing also panicked. He quickly stood up and said in a worried voice, "What happened? Did you find out something?"

Hei Shu Yi picked up his sword from the ground and handed it to the Master, saying, "Master, there is no time now. You just keep a close eye on Han Lao Fang. I will tell you the rest when I get there."

Saying this, she quickly ran away towards the Lian Qingxue Clan, and Master Suo Jing also started moving forward quickly on the same path.

On the other side, Qing Yu and Mei Gui had returned to their shop in the Hegong Clan. Mei Gui was sitting quietly by the shop window, sad and disappointed, and Qing Yu was handling the customers, but he was not happy either. Mei Gui had assumed that Xiao Tang must have been killed by Master Xian Yong Ming by now.

But just then, Jun Suan arrived there with all the other disciples, searching for Xiao Tang throughout the market.

Suddenly, Qing Yu noticed Master Xian Yong Ming's disciples roaming the market. He quickly stepped out from behind the shop counter and went to Mei Gui, saying:

"Senior Sister, look there quickly, Disciple Jun Suan. Why are Master Xian Yong Ming's disciples here, leaving him behind?"

Then, when she also saw that Disciple Jun Suan was indeed there, she quickly ran from there to Jun Suan. This time, their eyes were truly filled with worry, and her heart was afraid. When she reached Jun Suan, she quickly asked:

"Disciple Jun Suan, what are you doing here, and Master Xian Yong Ming?"

Jun Suan also looked at her and, instead of answering her question, asked her a question instead:

"Lady Mei Gui, have you seen Xiao Tang anywhere?"

Mei Gui said in surprise, "What?! I was about to ask what Master Xian Yong Ming did to Xiao Tang. He went after him."

Hearing this, all the disciples fell silent because they had already searched almost the entire clan, but Xiao Tang was not found. And now, even from the place where there was some hope, they only received disappointment.

Then Jun Suan spoke, "Lady Mei Gui, the Master is also looking for Xiao Tang, and he is the one who sent us to search for him."
