After leaving the meeting room, Mo Fan and Tangyue headed straight to the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon.
This time, Tangyue brought an extra bck orb with her. Tang Zhong called it the Totem Orb, a special container to keep a Totem Beast in it.
The Totem Orb was extremely spacious inside. It was more than enough to provide the Skyscraping Snake with a temporary habitat.
The Totem Orb was, in fact, a type of Space Container, but most of them were not able to contain a living creature inside. The Totem Orb was modified with plenty of life energy, which was sufficient for the Skyscraping Snake to stay inside it.
If the life energy was depleted, the Totem Beast would be forced to come out from the orb. Otherwise, it would suffocate inside it.
Zhu Meng did not know a thing like the Totem Orb existed in this world. They were organizing people to annihite the beast, and had most of their surveilnce on Tang Zhong and the experts under him. Little did he know, Tang Zhong had already come up with a pn. Tangyue and Mo Fan would use the Totem Orb to move the Skyscraping Snake secretly!
If Zhu Meng was only pnning to drive the Bck Totem Snake away, things would not be so complicated, but the truth was, he was trying to eliminate the snake once and for all...
There was no way he would allow a beast that had a close bond with the city to live. Maybe it would return with a beast horde someday!
The weeds would have to be uprooted to fully kill them. Tang Zhong knew that Zhu Meng was trying to take advantage of the Totem Beast’s ecdysis to kill it!
Therefore, he had to let Tangyue bring the Totem Beast away.
Once the ecdysis finished, Zhu Meng would not dare to touch the Totem Beast even if he were given ten sets of guts.
——
“Big guy, that Zhu Meng is trying to harm you again. I’ll bring you away now, somewhere safe where you can rest up... big guy, can you hear me?” Tangyue jumped to a spot on the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and called out softly.
Mo Fan was waiting at the isnd. As a matter of fact, he was still a little bit scared of the Bck Totem Snake.
The water began to bubble. The sight of it was enough to tell how enormous the surfacing thing was.
A shocking bck shadow slowly surfaced from the silver ke under the illumination of the moonlight. Mo Fan could not believe that the small section of the ke was able to hold such a massive creature.
Could it be that the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon actually had a different space inside it?
The shadow became clearer and slowly rose from the water.
The giant snake head finally appeared. His scaly body was glowing slightly under the moonlight...
Tangyue wore a smile when she saw the Bck Totem Snake. She did not show a single hint of fear. She even reached out her hand and fondled the Bck Totem Snake’s head.
The Bck Totem Snake’s head was the size of a big house. His ft nostrils were the size of a small cave, while his mouth was even bigger. His long tongue was terrifying enough to make someone wet their pants.
Tangyue was absolutely daring. She even jumped onto the Bck Totem Snake’s head and started talking to him.
The mature, sexy Miss Tangyue had turned into a cheerful little girl full of energy when the Bck Totem Snake appeared.
“He’s my student, a disobedient and bad student. His name is Mo Fan.” Tangyue stood on the Bck Totem Snake’s head and pointed in Mo Fan’s direction.
The Bck Totem Snake turned slightly. His ntern-sized eyes stared right at Mo Fan as his tongue poked out in Mo Fan’ direction. Its length was fairly stunning.
“Mo Fan, he seems to remember you!” Tangyue giggled when he saw Mo Fan retreating.
“Sis... nope, Madam, can we please get on with our business,” Mo Fan answered with a long face.
“Rex, I have to communicate with him slowly. He’s very sensitive during this time. Even I have to spend some time communicating with him,” said Tangyue.
“Ok, fine, go on,” said Mo Fan.
The moonlight was bright as usual. The blue-silver glow shone upon the sacred ke, resulting in a spectacur scene that night
Mo Fan strolled to the edge of the park, where a tranquil ke stretched out before him, its surface reflecting the st traces of daylight.
The scene was serene, yet something about it felt oddly familiar, tugging at the edges of his memory.
“This... Scenery is awfully familiar...” Mo Fan murmured to himself, the faint recollection slowly creeping into his mind.
And then, as if on cue, a ripple appeared on the water's surface, spreading outward like the herald of something ancient and powerful.
“Ah!” The realization struck him just as the water began to stir. The ripple grew more restless, distorting the mirror-like surface of the ke until the calm was shattered entirely.
“It’s been a while... Big Guy~” Mo Fan whispered, a mix of awe and familiarity in his voice. His gaze was fixed on the centre of the ke, where the disturbance was rapidly intensifying.
The twilight sky had darkened, casting long shadows across the park, and in the gathering gloom, the ripples in the water grew wilder, as if something colossal was awakening from a long slumber.
SPASH!!!
DWOOSH!!!
Without warning, the surface of the ke erupted in a massive explosion of water, sending waves crashing against the shore. Mo Fan instinctively took a step back as the towering figure began to emerge from the depths.
The creature was beyond enormous. As it rose from the water, Mo Fan had to crane his neck to take it all in. Before him stood a bck serpent, its gargantuan body seemingly endless as it uncoiled from the ke.
The creature's scales were as bck as the void, each one like a sb of dark metal polished to an obsidian sheen. They shimmered with an eerie, otherworldly glow, reflecting the faint light of the moon like a mosaic of midnight stars.
Blue runic lines, ancient and enigmatic, snaked their way across the serpent's massive form, pulsating with a rhythm that echoed the heartbeat of the earth itself. The markings were like rivers of mystical energy, flowing along the serpent’s body, imbuing it with an aura of timeless power.
It was as if the creature was not merely alive but a living embodiment of an ancient deity, a force of nature that had existed long before mankind and would continue long after.
The sheer size of the serpent was staggering—though not as rge as the legendary Azure Dragon, it was still a behemoth that dwarfed anything else in its vicinity.
The serpent’s body, thick and muscur, stretched out to an awe-inspiring length of nearly 700 meters. Its head, crowned with a set of curved, horn-like protrusions, was the size of a medium sized house, and its eyes—glowing pools of deep amber—held the wisdom of countless millennia, as well as the cold, unyielding gaze of a being that knew no equal.
The thought of Tang Yue which had been lingering in his mind, vanished at the majestic sight of the huge Bck Totem Snake! He smiled excitedly while staring at the huge creature!
Simirly, the Massive Snake also stared at Mo Fan. But for some reason, it’s stare was not friendly, but that of hostility!
The Bck Totem Snake was the guardian of Hangzhou! It resided in the huge west ke and had guarded the territory for thousands of years!
It was a friendly Totem Beast which had decided to protect the humans in it’s territory for generations to generations. Tang Yue was the Totem Guardian of the Bck Totem Snake!
She knew the Bck Totem Snake from when she was but a child, and had already considered it a family! Even now she would often visit it and talk with it for hours and hours!
Mo Fan had come to know of the snake’s existence in through Tang Yue. In the Book after an incident where he had helped the Snake, he had gained it’s trust and became it’s friend!
