Stu opened his eyes expecting to be on the gym floor, instead he was in his room in bed. He rubbed his face trying to remember what happened, but it was a bnk after closing his eyes. He rolled over to look at the clock, instead it was miracle, he looked behind him and the other two were right there. Raising the bnket, he saw he was naked, he looked at the girls, and they were all naked too. “What the hell happened st night?”
Chaos said, “Good morning..” She looked around realizing everyone was in bed together, Stu gave her an awkward smile.
Miracle stretched wrapping her arms around Stu asking, “Is it time to get up?” She looked as surprised as the others to see everyone naked in the same bed. She nudged Prosperity with her foot.
Prosperity saw everyone and she said, “Aw, that’s not fair! I don’t remember anything! Was I drinking st night? Wait, this can’t be right, the way I always pictured this, I’d wake up with a dog colr on.” Everyone looked at her. “Heh, kidding..” She turned red.
Stu asked, “So no one remembers how we got here?” The girls all shook their heads no. He asked, “Should we just go for it and make the best of the situation?”
Unamused Chaos said, “As your god I want you to go outside and guard the door while we get dressed. We need to make sure there’s no enemies around.”
Stu said, “Aww, okay..” He got up and grabbed his clothes on the floor.
Prosperity said, “Hot.”
Miracle said, “I second that.”
Chaos said, “Oh yeah, yummy..”
Stu rolled his eyes saying, “Thanks girls. Just dash my hopes some more why don’t you?” He shut the door behind him. He got dressed while the girls did too.
Eventually the door opened and they came filing out. All of them were dressed too, Stu couldn’t hide his disappointment. As they all went to the living room Prosperity whispered to him,. “I’ll bring the dog colr tonight.” She kept walking with the other girls. He almost prayed for a miracle but then decided that it would just ruin everything if he did that. Instead, just repeatedly whispering please under his breath.
They searched the whole house, which unlike his old pce that took thirty seconds to clear, this pce took around forty-five minutes to clear. After checking every crack and nook, they reconvened inside the living room to discuss the situation. They’d found nothing at all, inside or outside. Even Stu’s nose hadn’t bled so they found themselves at an impasse, no exterior reason that they shouldn’t remember what happened st night.
Miracle asked, “Does anyone remember anything?”
Prosperity said, “I remember grabbing some food for Chaos and Stu.. That’s about it though, I feel like I talked to someone, but I can’t be sure..”
Chaos said, “I have nothing, I think I saw my worshipper’s good’s though!”
Nodding in agreement Miracle said, “Alright, well we should count the good that came from this too.”
Looking more pleased with herself than usual Prosperity said, “Yeah, I saw it too. Hot..”
Stu said, “Even though I should be compining that everyone has seen me naked without me seeing them… We should be focusing on the issue at hand.. really though.. I mean I should be compining.. I have every right too..” He trailed off in thought with a frustrated expression.
Chaos took it from where Stu left off, “He’s right! Well, not about what he’s thinking about right now.. but the part where we should focus on what happened st night..”
Marrow said, “If someone could help me, I might be able to shed some light on the situation..”
Everyone looked around and didn’t see him anywhere. Stu asked, “Where are you Marrow? We can’t tell..”
A long-exaggerated sigh and he said, “I’m in the ceiling..”
Stu asked, “Are you stuck?”
Marrow sighed heavily once more saying, “Yes.. I’m Stuck.. There’re some tools and a dder in the shed out back. Do you think you could hurry? I’m feeling car sick in here..”
Stu rushed out back grabbing the stuff and returning to the living room. Setting up the dder he got to work cutting a hole in the ceiling next to Marrow and pulled him out. Slightly green but no worse for the wear. Stu asked, “How’d you get in there?” Taking him to the floor he set Marrow down.
Marrow said, “Well, I was sleeping and a weird feeling woke me up. I figured; hey it must be an unsanctioned attack. Instead, when I go to check on everyone, what do I find? There is instability everywhere. Long story short, I fell into an instability pocket while going to make sure you guys were alright.”
Everyone was confused looking at one another with no idea what he was talking about. Prosperity was the one to ask, “What is instability, or is this one of those you can’t answer that moments?”
Marrow said, “Everything is based on vibration in the physical world, or a frequency. Something on the right frequency can disrupt, destroy, or even create things. Something disrupted the stability of the physical pne, and I fell inside the floor..”
Chaos asked, “What caused it?”
Marrow shook his head, “I don’t know, I’ve been trapped in the ceiling for about nine hours or more.. I couldn’t move at all, I’m just gd not to be a 2x4 now..”
Miracle said, “Aww, poor Marrow.. I know what it’s like to feel helpless too..” She walked over and picked Marrow up, taking a seat on the couch pcing him on her p. She began petting him gently and saying, “It’s alright.”
Marrow said, “I’m not a cat, I’m a…” He stopped talking as he involuntarily purred. “Oh, actually.. You may continue..” She continued petting the cat on her p.
Stu said, “Nice..”
Marrow said, “Yes, it is..”
Prosperity said, “Well if it was instability, and not an attack, then we’re in the clear. I’m going back to bed then; anyone want to come?”
Marrow purring somehow still sounded stern saying, “Inappropriate Prosperity.. No, it wasn’t an attack as far as I can tell but it doesn’t mean everything is alright either. First though, don’t you think you should get that?”
There was a scratching sound at the front door. Stu got up and answered it just to find Kay at the door. He said, “Hey there Stu! Look I did exactly what you told me to do! My nose healed up really good, and I’ve told everyone how I got to hang out with the house of chaos! Man, I’m so excited that I finally have some news to deliver, how have you been? Can I come inside?” he was very excitable today. Stu let him in and they made their way back to the living room.
Marrow was still purring away on miracles p. He said, “Hello Kay, how are things?”
Kay yelled in excitement, “Aww! No way! Miracle?!? So, the rumors are true! So very, very cool! Lucky cat!”
Stu asked, “What rumors?”
Kay said, “Only that the house of chaos didn’t just beat the scariest god, no offence Miracle, but that Stu broke her into submission! This is way cool!” He looked over at prosperity saying, “Hey, prosperity. How have things been?” Suddenly he sounded calmer and almost suave. She gave an awkward wave to the little fox.
Marrow said, “Maybe you should tell them why you’re here today.”
Kay said, “Right.. Well, I’ve brought you guys news. You are sanctioned for your first fight since Faculty! Can I just say Stu, the way you won without throwing a punch, it was a mastercss in combat.. I was like no way he’s going to win by getting naked! I had faith in my boy though, and wa-bam! He was like here Faculty be number four! She was like; oh, no that’s too much man for me, and she ran away!” He began ughing while all the girls gred at Stu.
Miracle said, “If you want to wake up tomorrow, remember that faculty is my sister..”
Kays ears went back as he said, “I’m sorry, I’m an excitable fox.. I didn’t mean nothing by it.. I’m just the biggest fan you guys have..” Miracle said, “That doesn’t include me, I’m not part of the house of Chaos..”
Kay said, “Aw, that’s soo not true! You are going to be a major part of things.. Everyone that works with the house of chaos ends up becoming part of it! This is the best pce! I mean, come on! Even I’m part of the house of chaos! You have to be too! You know you want to! I wanted to, why wouldn’t you! At some point you just gotta, you know! You just need to decide that you are part of it, there’s worse things than serving something other than yourself! Do you know how many judges were jealous of me before I met Stu? Let me tell you, zero! You know how many are jealous now that I get to say I’m an official member? All of them! Tell me that this pce isn’t the greatest?...”
Marrow said, “Kay, do you ever breathe? You are embarrassing yourself, get to the point judge..”
Kay looked shamed again as he said, “Sorry about that, I really can’t help it.. Chaos you have a sanctioned battle, at 4PM on Cherry Street. Um, it’s with Euphoria..”
Marrow said, “You can say it Kay, it’s alright.”
Kay looked upset, “I’m bringing you news like we agreed, plus something that’s not on the official paperwork. There are rumors that she intends to cheat in the battle.. We can’t prove it but the st few battles that she’s been involved in have been suspicious at best. She intends to force you into surrender, not kill you. She want’s Stu…”
Stu said, “Eh, come on little guy! This is team chaos we’re talking about! Cheer up, we got this even if they cheated. What could she do to even force Chaos to surrender?”
Softly Chaos said, “They could threaten to kill you..”
Stu sat silently, there wasn’t any use in arguing about the facts. If the position were reversed he’d already seen what he was capable of.. “Alright, then I won’t let her kill me.. We kill her quickly and efficiently, giving Euphoria no time to pull any tricks. No showing off, no talking, just kill her as soon as we see her.”
Prosperity made that weird sound again, everyone gave her a weird look. She yelled, “I can’t help it! I’m into what I’m into!”
Kay looked impressed saying, “Really? Good to know..”
Stu looked at Kay saying, “Can we please get back to work now?” thinking to himself, I’m not jealous just keeping things on track..
Kay said, “Right, I’m sorry. Prosperity we should continue this conversation ter..” He winked at her.
Prosperity looked around the room confused asking, “What conversation?”
Marrow purring on Miracle’s p said, “Ouch.. Nice try fox..”
Stu cpped his hands saying, “Guys come on focus up! Is everyone horny today or.. Oh, I get it… Lame!” Throwing his hands up in defeat he sat back in his chair.
Everyone stared at him waiting. Chaos asked, “What?”
Stu looked up and asked the room, “Show of hands, and honesty matters. Who here is hornier than usual?”
Everyone raised a hand, or paw, other than Stu and Chaos. Marrow asked Stu, “Come on, why isn’t your hand up?”
Stu shook his head in frustration saying, “My guess is that I’ve been so sexually frustrated since I met my first god, that there is no physical way I can get any hornier without ascending to some kind of ethereal pne or something…”
Chaos asked, “Why don’t I feel horny?”
Stu looked at her saying, “That is a good question.. Maybe your immune?”
Marrow was still purring heavily saying, “I doubt your immune, but I suspect that Stu is correct in his assumption that Euphoria is demonstrating her powers. She must be doing it to give you an idea of her power level, and if he’s right about that.. Then he may be correct in his theory of why he isn’t affected by the power.. He could be the reason that you aren’t being affected, since you two share your energy.. Interesting.. Um, Miracle could you scratch a little lower? Oh…” The volume of the purring was becoming uncomfortable to say the least.
Kay jumped up on the coffee table like it was a soapbox saying, “Come on guys! Focus up! The house of Chaos is under attack! This is so exciting! You are going to go kick some butt tonight, and I’ll be cheering for you! We will come together! Alright, I said it and immediately regretted that st one, but I meant it! Not how it sounded, but how I meant it! You know, I meant C-O-M-E, not C-U…”
Cutting him off, Marrow yelled, “Judge! You are embarrassing yourself once again!”
With an annoyed look Kay said, “Says the vibrating pussycat..”
Stu sighed looking at everyone, this was a trainwreck in progress. The only good part was that all the sexual frustration was obviously the best training he could have had for this situation, and he was sad to admit that; even if it was only to himself. Steeling himself for what was to come he looked at Chaos asking, “Are you ready for this?”
She said, “I don’t know what to expect, so no. I am not ready for this, Euphoria isn’t just a regur god, she’s a popur god. That makes her dangerous.”
Kay yelled, “Pfft, Stu is dangerous! The house of Chaos is dangerous! I mean all Stu will have to do is be like; I’m taking off my pants now.. And Euphoria’s gonna be all like; Oh no it’s a monster! Then it’ll be all ching-ching with daggers, and then there’ll be explosions!! Stu’s going to say something clever or funny, or, or maybe it’ll be epic! Then at the end Euphoria’s going to be all like; Ahh! You got me…. Uhg.. Then we all celebrate with a victory party!!!” He was huffing and puffing from the way he acted out the idea barely breathing in his excitement.
Stu asked, “Has anyone noticed that Kay’s ADHD seems to counteract Euphoria’s power?”
Kay asked, “What’s ADHD?”
Marrow said, “That’s an astute observation you’ve made. However, that seems to be pointless unless you can borrow his ADHD.”
Kay’s ears went back as he worriedly asked, “Seriously guys, what’s ADHD? You’re worrying me now…”
Stu said, “Yeah, I just thought it was interesting that ADHD and frustration were more powerful than her.”
Kay had true panic in his voice asking, “Am I sick or something?”
Prosperity held her phone saying, “Well shit, he does have ADHD.. No, you aren’t sick, it’s what they call your excitability in the human world.”
Kay said, “Oh thank Chaos… I was scared for a moment..”
Marrow said, “It’s time we leave you to get ready for your battle.” He jumped up off Miracle’s p suddenly. Walking by Kay he said, “Come on, let’s go.”
Kay said, “No they said I could hangout for a bit.”
Marrow stopped without looking back and sternly said, “We have business. It’s time to go Kay.. Come with me now please..”
Kays ears went back as he said, “Oh.. Alright then..” He jumped off the table and followed Marrow out without another word.
Once they’d left Stu said, “Anyone else think that was weird just now? Like something happened?”
Chaos shrugged saying, “Marrow said they had business to take care of. Probably just judge stuff we aren’t privy to.”
Stu stared at the floor thinking. He said, “Maybe, but that just seemed weird. Kay didn’t even say bye.. He is the only judge I one hundred percent believe, he is our biggest fan, and he really can’t help it.. but he didn’t say bye.. Weird..”
Prosperity said, “Now that you put it that way, it does seem odd that he didn’t say bye.. He was just all over me and guys don’t lose interest in me unless something is wrong.”
Stu nodded saying, “That’s an incredibly self-centered way to look at it, but yes that’s what I’m talking about.”
Miracle asked, “The real problem is what do you pn on doing about the battle tonight?”
Stu shrugged saying, “Chaos and I are going to rock the house tonight, what else? We’ll give the crowd the fastest show they ever have seen. Like I said before, we go in ruthlessly to finish this before anything can happen. In sixty seconds after meeting her I pn on being done if everything works out.”
Chaos pulled out her dagger saying, “Right, we’ll give them a death metal duet!”
Stu looked at her before ughing and saying, “How do you get the name Chaos and your too cute to appear threatening.. I don’t get this world..” He ughed even harder.
