Epilogue - Vol. 1

Zig put down his mug of cider and sighed with contentment. The alcohol did nothing at all, but he still felt a warmth spreading through his chest. It wasn't the drink, it was the people around him. Gretta was yawning, with a fist covering her mouth. Hepp was picking his nose, and Jane was teaching Gutters how to use a knife and fork. Every member of the Red Daggers were there, and Zig felt his heart swell as he looked at them all.

"My life has been insane. Just a few months ago I was going to school. Now..."

Zig looked around at his companions, and saw even Teeth was poking her head through an open window.

"Now I have all you guys. You silly, amazing, wonderful friends. I've broken a mountain, burned a forest, killed way, way more people than i expected to," Zig shook his head in amazement. "Imagine if my life was a story. You could fill up an entire book with this stuff."

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

"Volume one at least," Hepp suggested.

  "Would you read it?"

"Ha! I can read small signs, Zig, you want me reading a whole book?"

  "...."

"... ugh, fine, I'll read your dumb book."

"Thanks, Hepp, but the real question is, would you give it a review?"

Everyone around Zig started looking uncomfortable. Zig tried to make eye contact with his friends, who were looking every way but his.

"Guys, please, reviews literally mean everything to the author. Gretta? Jints? Teeth?"

The horse spotted something super interesting on the ceiling, fixing her eyes up there as she slowly backed out of the window and disappeared.

Zig, in desperation, turned to you, the reader.

  "Anyone?"
