Chapter 47 – “Hands That Return Home”

Scene: Outskirts of Konoha – Late Afternoon

The wind rustled as a horse-drawn cart rolled slowly toward the village gates. Dust rose as Majin pulled the reins, bringing with him a group of young shinobi—Shikadai, Ryouta, Boruto, Himawari, Sumire, Sarada, Inojin, and Metal Lee—all weary, bruised, but alive.

As the gates came into view, figures began running toward them.

Shikamaru stood still for a second before his eyes widened.

Shikadai jumped out of the cart the moment it slowed and sprinted to him.

  Shikadai (voice trembling):

“Dad… I thought I’d never see you again.”

Shikamaru (smirking, pulling him into a hug):

“You didn’t think I'd let some cosmic horse guy out-strategize me, did you?”

Ryouta and Sarada jumped down next.

Sasuke stood silently, arms crossed, but eyes locked on his daughter.

  Ryouta (to Sasuke):

“We brought her back… she fought like you would have.”

  Sasuke (softly, to Sarada):

“You did well. Both of you.”

  Sarada (smiling faintly):

  “Tch… we’re Uchihas, aren’t we?”

Boruto and Himawari rushed forward—straight into Naruto’s arms.

  Naruto (tearfully, squeezing them tight):

  “I’m sorry. I should’ve—"

  Boruto (interrupting):

“You saved us, old man… that’s all that matters.”

  Himawari (sniffing, holding Naruto):

  “I missed you, Papa.”

Metal Lee stood quietly until a proud voice broke through.

  Rock Lee (with tears streaming):

“You have BURNING YOUTH, my son!!”

  Metal (sweating):

  “Dad… tone it down…”

Majin stepped off the front of the cart and bowed to Konohamaru, guilt evident.

  Majin:

“I’m… sorry. I didn’t plan for this much pain.”

  Stolen story; please report.

Konohamaru (placing a hand on his shoulder):

“Intentions matter, Majin. But so does responsibility. Just… be better.”

Sumire stood back, watching others reunite. Alone.

Iruka and Kakashi quietly observed from the sidelines.

  Iruka (to Kakashi, softly):

“She reminds me of someone... frozen like that.”

  Kakashi (nodding):

  “...Naruto.”

Just as Kakashi started stepping forward, a hand grabbed Sumire’s.

Yuta, smiling gently, dragged her toward the older men.

Yuta (loudly, for everyone to hear):

  “She’s not alone anymore.”

  Everyone turned.

  Yuta (to Kakashi and Iruka):

“You two—look after her. Like you looked after my dad. Be her family.”

  Iruka (wide-eyed):

  “Eh?! Wh-What are you saying?”

  Yuta (grinning):

“You already act like my dad’s dads. You’ve got experience.”

  Kakashi (scratching his head, awkwardly):

“You brat… You think handing off a person is like delivering ramen?”

  Yuta (winking):

  “Worked for my mom.”

Kakashi and Iruka exchanged reluctant glances and nodded.

  Iruka:

“She’ll stay with Kakashi. He’s old and boring. Perfect guardian.”

  Kakashi (offended):

  “Oi.”

  Sumire blushed furiously.

  Everyone else smiled.

Suddenly, the silence broke with Might Guy’s loud entrance, wheelchair rolling at full speed as Tenten pushed behind him, teary-eyed.

  Tenten (wailing):

“My Papashi left me! AGHH! I AM SO ALONE!”

  Kakashi (deadpan):

“Bastard, stop saying stuff like that! They’ll think we’re—!”

  Guy (dramatic pose):

“LET THEM THINK! OUR BONDS BURN BRIGHTER THAN ROMANCE!”

  Tenten moved away, muttering:

  “…They kinda do have chemistry.”

  Everyone (softly agreeing):

  “Hmm…”

  Yuta (teasing):

“Looks like Iruka-sensei is in a love triangle now.”

  All eyes turned to Iruka.

  Iruka (face turning red):

  “W-WHAT?! I—No—I—!!!”

  Sarada (smirking):

“You know… What if theres a multiverse. Maybe there’s a world where all this went differently.”

  Yuta (laughing):

“Oh please. Somewhere out there, we probably all got body-swapped or something!”

Shikamaru (to Naruto and Sasuke, dryly):

“Maybe there’s even a world where you two ended up together.”

  Naruto and Sasuke froze. Blushed.

  Naruto (nervous):

  “W-What are you saying?!”

  Sasuke (eye twitching):

  “Hn…”

  Himawari (confused):

  “What’s ‘Sasunaru’?”

Ryouta quickly put his hand over her ears.

  Ryouta:

“Stay pure, Himawari. And uh… by the way... I won’t let anyone hurt u now since im alive.”

Himawari blinked, turned pink, and looked away.

Scene: Night – Under the Tree Outside Konoha Walls

Ryouta and Sarada sat under the stars, quiet.

  Ryouta:

“I don’t know if you love Yuta or not… but I love Himawari.I don’t want any guy touch her.”

  Sarada:

  “When you realized?”

  Ryouta :

“The day she was kidnapped by majin that day the helplessness I felt I don’t wanna feel”

  Sarada (gently):

  “You’re 14. She’s 11. You're gonna have to wait.”

  Ryouta (sincere):

“I will. I’ll grow stronger. For her.”

  Sarada (smiling):

  “Then I’ll help you, onii-chan.”

  Ryouta:

  “...Thanks, Sarada.”

They watched the stars fall silently above Konoha, unaware of the next storm brewing beyond the horizon.
