Chapter 34 – When the Uchiha Sings

Scene: Forest Path – Toward Majin

The air grew colder as the group trekked deeper into the mountains. Yuta stopped, forming seals. With a cry that echoed through the clouds, an eagle swooped down, landing gracefully on his arm.

  Sarada (blinking, surprised):

“Wait—that’s my dad’s eagle. Why’s it responding to you?”

  Yuta (smiling sheepishly):

“Guess he thinks I’m an Uchiha too.”

  Sarada (smirking, leaning close):

“Or maybe he just knows I’m with you. We’ve been… pretty close lately.”

Yuta’s face burned red. To hide it, he quickly tied a scroll to the eagle’s leg and sent it soaring toward Konoha.

The eagle perched on the window. Sasuke untied the scroll and read silently. Naruto leaned closer.

  > “Heading toward Majin. The road is rough, but Sarada is safe. I’ll never let harm touch her, not while I breathe. Please don’t worry—we’ll see this through. — Yuta.”

  Naruto exhaled deeply, shoulders loosening.

  Naruto: “At least they’re safe.”

Sasuke folded the scroll neatly, his expression unreadable, but his eyes softened ever so slightly. He nodded and began writing a reply.

  Scene: Village Café – Evening

  Hinata stirred her tea, hesitant.

Hinata: “Was I dreaming… or did I actually hear Sasuke singing a lullaby yesterday?”

Sakura nearly dropped her cup, cheeks blazing red.

  Temari (grinning wickedly):

“Spill the tea, queen. What happened?”

Sakura fumbled, trying to wave it off.

  Tsunade (snorting):

“Affectionate Sasuke? Yeah, world’s ending tomorrow.”

  The table burst out laughing.

  Tenten (mock serious):

“Quick, somebody check the sky. If he sings twice, meteors are coming.”

  Karui (teasing):

“Sakura, what kind of blackmail you got on him?”

Sakura slammed her hands on the table, flustered.

Sakura: “I’ll make him sing more, you’ll see!”

The group erupted in louder laughter.

Scene: Uchiha Household – Sasuke’s Room

The moonlight streamed in as Sasuke slid the door open. Sakura stood waiting, her expression soft, her posture anything but innocent.

He paused, debating, then stepped in.

  Sakura (smiling slyly):

“If you want to go further… sing for me, Uchiha.”

Sasuke froze. His ears turned scarlet.

  Sasuke (grumbling, sighing):

  “Tch… troublesome woman.”

But he leaned close, his voice low and husky, carrying a tune he’d never share with anyone else.

  Sasuke’s Song (original verse):

  “Even blades grow weary,

  Even shadows rest…

  But for you, Sakura,

  My heart beats its best.”

Sakura shivered, nibbling at his earlobe.

  Sakura (whispering): “I like that…”

Sasuke’s hands slid around her waist, pulling her closer. The night deepened, filled with quiet laughter and words only they would ever hear.

Scene: Moon Temple – Upper Chamber

The wind howled through the ruins. Aira stood at the balcony, arms folded tightly.

  Aira (to herself, heavy):

“I only hope… whatever happened between Sylus, Majin, and me won’t weigh on Yuta. He doesn’t deserve to carry that past.”

Her gaze fixed on the distan

t stars, her thoughts tangled between love, regret, and the shadows of history.
