Chapter 58 – “The Heir of the Byakugan”

Scene: Hyūga Clan Hall – Morning

The once-serene hall of the Hyūga clan erupted in chaos. Elders slammed the table, voices echoing through the corridors.

  Elder 1 (furious):

“THIS IS NEPOTISM! The Seventh Hokage is forcing his own son as clan leader—he’s only fourteen!”

  Elder 2 (gritting teeth):

“Has the Hyūga bloodline fallen this far? To be ruled by an outsider half-Uzumaki?!”

The sliding doors opened with a thud.

Masio entered, his tone sharp and commanding.

  Masio (calmly):

“You’re forgetting something, Elders. I’m on the same political level as Hiashi Hyūga.”

  He stepped forward, eyes glinting.

  Masio (low voice):

“So talk to me directly. What’s your issue?”

The elders went silent instantly, beads of sweat forming on their brows.

  Masio smirked faintly.

  Masio:

“That’s what I thought. You may shout here, but when it comes to standing against Hokage Naruto… you all crawl.”

  Elder 1 (weakly):

“Masio… is it true? Did the Hokage publish the banner?”

  Masio (nodding, regretful):

“Unfortunately, yes. Naruto made it official this morning — without asking for your consent.”

The elders’ faces twisted in frustration, but none dared respond.

From the corner of the hall, Hanabi stood frozen, her voice trembling.

  Hanabi:

  “...Is that true?”

  (her tone cracks)

“My own brother-in-law… and my nephew?”

Masio looked down, silent for a moment before nodding.

  Masio:

“Yes, Hanabi. The decision came from the Hokage’s hand himself.”

  Hanabi’s eyes filled with tears.

She turned abruptly and stormed out of the room.

Scene: Hanabi’s Room – Minutes Later

The door slammed shut. Hanabi collapsed to her knees beside her bed, fists clutching her heart.

  Hanabi (sobbing softly):

“Was I not enough…? First Father, now this…”

Her tears hit the tatami floor as faint sunlight spilled through the window — the same light now shining on Yuta’s newly raised banner outside.

  Scene: Konoha Prison – Afternoon

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

The cell was dim. Hiashi Hyūga sat with his hands chained, his face twisted in anger as he stared at the newspaper plastered on the wall —

“Yuta Uzumaki Declared New Hyūga Clan Head”

He tore the paper down and growled under his breath.

  Hiashi (snarling):

“That fool Hokage… letting a child lead our clan!”

Across from him, Ko Hyūga sat quietly on the cot, arms folded.

He looked up with a faint smirk.

  Ko (coldly):

“You let Neji die in vain, Hiashi. You played the noble card too long.”

Hiashi glared, but Ko continued — unshaken.

  Ko:

“We’re both counting our days here in this cell. But at least I can say this — you have no voice anymore. So don’t bark.”

Hiashi’s fury simmered down into silence.

  Ko looked away, muttering:

“At least… I hope Hinata can handle what comes next.”

Scene: Uzumaki Household – Kitchen, Evening

The warm aroma of dinner filled the air — but the tension was ice cold.

Hinata stood near the stove, her expression distant and trembling.

The door creaked open. Naruto entered, trying to sound cheerful.

  Naruto (grinning nervously):

  “Heeey, honey~!”

He tried to hug her from behind, but Hinata shoved him away with unexpected force.

  Hinata (furious, trembling):

“Why did you rob my own little sister of her dream?!”

  Naruto froze.

Hinata’s tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued, voice breaking.

  Hinata:

“She waited her whole life to prove herself to Father… and you gave that chance to our son!”

  Naruto (clenching fists):

“I know how it looks. But listen — Shikamaru told me something last night.”

  (serious)

“The Hyūga elders were planning to kill Yuta. He’s not safe within that clan anymore.”

Hinata’s breath hitched. Naruto’s tone hardened.

  Naruto:

“So tell me, Hinata — should I destroy your sister’s dream? Kill the elders for plotting my son’s death?

Or do something reckless… and make him clan leader to protect his life?”

Hinata’s strength faltered. She stepped closer, tears blurring her vision.

  Hinata (crying):

“How am I supposed to face Hanabi now? She was everything to me… everything!”

Naruto pulled her into his chest, his voice low and steady.

  Naruto (softly):

“Then we’ll face it together. Dattebayo.”

Hinata clung to him, her sobs muffled in his coat.

  Hinata (whispering):

  “Please… save everyone, my love…”

Naruto kissed the top of her head gently.

  Naruto:

  “I will.”

  Scene: Yuta’s Room – Night

The room was quiet. Moonlight filtered through the blinds.

Yuta was fast asleep, breathing softly.

Suddenly, Boruto and Himawari tiptoed in, grinning mischievously.

  Boruto (whispering):

“How the heck can this guy lead a clan while drooling in his sleep?”

  Himawari giggled, poking his cheek.

  Himawari:

  “Wake up, sleepy prince~!”

  Yuta blinked awake, confused.

  Yuta (groggy):

  “Huh…? What’s happening…?”

Boruto pointed at the shelf — a pristine white-and-blue robe hung neatly, embroidered with the Hyūga symbol and Uzumaki swirl.

Yuta sat up slowly, eyes widening.

  Yuta:

  “No way… This is serious?”

  Both siblings nodded.

Yuta stood, reaching out for the robe.

As his fingers brushed the fabric, a surge of energy pulsed through him — his Shinseigan and Tenseigan flaring together, glowing pink and cyan.

  Yuta (quietly, smiling):

  “Mother will be happy…”

  Himawari giggled again.

  Himawari (teasing):

  “Mama’s boy~!”

Boruto sighed deeply, crossing his arms.

  Boruto (serious):

“This isn’t about just Mom or the Hyūga, Yuta. This… is war.”

Yuta turned, gripping the robe tightly — the glow of his eyes fading into determination.

  Yuta (softly):

  “Then I’ll fight for peace.”

He hugged the robes close to his chest as the moonlight fell over him —

the youngest Hyūga head in history.
